How long should a Lightroom Catalog Update take? Mine has been 'frozen' since about 10 hours ago when I started it with no progress showing, however I can see in file folder that it created a temporary repaired catalog file that is growing in size but if that has to match my original catalog size I am thinking this would take literal days to update, the original catalog size is around 7gb. Is it safe to cancel and try it again with that file building or should I just leave it?
Hello, May I have your advice? How do I correctly upgrade my catalog in my external hard drive, when I receive the upgrade message when I open the LRC on my Mac ?There are two options: one is to "choose a different catalog"; and the other is "upgrade"
Jean-Philippe
I wrote a little plug-in which just should write something to the LrLogger file.Nothing gets written on my Windows 10 machine. local logFilename = LOC "LuaVersionTest" local myLogger = import 'LrLogger'( logFilename ) myLogger:enable( "logfile" ) local logPath function showLuaVesion() myLogger:info( "Version:", _VERSION) myLogger:info(_VERSION) end showLuaVesion() SOLVEDIn the new SDK the log path has changed: see We're excited to announce the MAX release of Lightroom Classic SDK 14.0! The updated locations are:Win: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Logs\LrClassicLogsMac: /Users/<user>/Library/Logs/Adobe/Lightroom/LrClassicLogs/

I am having this clipping issues ONLY when I upload to social sites. It does not look this way on my computer or phone but as soon as it uploads I can see the color shift and blotches enhance. I have tried every single color profile, turned all sharpening luminous and defringe down or off completely. And even exported in several different sizes, ranging from 4200 on the long side, down to 909 as one page recommended. Ive exported in 300, 240 and 72 ppi and jpeg and png. Nothing seems to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Lightroom Classic 14.0.1Mac Ventura 13.7 I added a second external SSD drive to my system. I copied the files that were on a third SSD drive to this new SSD drive and eventually got everything copacetic. It wasn't easy, but I did it. Then I copied folders of 3 years of images from my original SSD drive (call this #1) to the new SSD Drive (#2) using the operating system. Now I'm struggling with connecting those 3 years of images to SSD Drive 2 in Lightroom. If I disconnect Drive 1 and use Find Missing Folder, I get the message about Merging. I accepted it once, but it didn't choose the Parent Folder for the year just the sub-folders. I appreciate any suggestions.Thank you,David
LR Classic - Vers 14.1Mac - Ver 13.7 I'm having some issues with my LR Folders (another problem I'm dealing with) so had to restore a previous Catalog that I had backed up. The problem is that when I close LRc and back up library, that restored catalog is not opened the next time I open Lightroom Classic. Thanks for the help.
Please help! I updated to the latest Lightroom Classic (v 14.0.1) and also updated my OS to Sequoia 15.0.1. At some point, I highlighted every image in my catalog (nearly 200,000) and gave them all a one star rating. I've tried going back to a backup catalog, but I can't open the catalog withoug optimizing it to the new verion of LC. When the catalog opens, the images all have one star. I'm wondering if I should reinstall the previos version of Lightroom Classic and then try to open an older backup catalog to see if the star ratings are still there. Thanks
Hello, I'm experiencing a frustrating issue: the Denoise window won't open after the "Loading Enhance Data" screen. After that, the loading screen doesn't appear again when I try to relaunch Denoise, unless I restart Lightroom. I've tried adjusting the GPU settings and optimizing the catalog, but nothing has worked so far.I'm using Windows 11 with an i7 6850k, a GeForce GTX 1080, and 16GB of RAM. Thank you very much for your help!
I've been using a digital camera with Lightroom and Negative Lab Pro to digitise my collection of 35mm negatives. I discovered about a year ago that flat field correction is an essential part of film digitization, since no lens/light combination is ever going to be 100% even. The issue is that flat field correction, after many years, remains buggy. About 10% of my conversions contain strange blotches that aren't visible on either the negative or blank plate. A further 10% become very overexposed and washed out looking. I'm finding that these problems occur within batches rather than individual photos - if one image has an issue, it is likely that all other images corrected with it will contain the same problem. This is even more annoying since I'm setting FFC to automatically delete the original RAW files upon correction, since I've backed them up separately and wish to save space on my PC. So if a correction fails, I have to manually retrieve the files from a backup drive to reattempt
My lightroom Cc (pc desktop) updated overnight to 14.01. it is so slow that marking an image as rejected takes forever. Exporting 700 images is taking HOURS. I took the catalogue back to 14.0 and now the problem seems stuck. This is painful - I'm a wedding photographer, it was fine yesterday 😞 This is so frustrating. Prior to the upgrade from Mac OS 14, when I synchronized a folder in LR Classic, that folder updated itself correctly — Lightroom added any new images and deleted anything that was no longer there on my disk. After upgrading my OS, I also updated LR Classic to v. 14.0. Now, when I synchronize a folder, it sets the old folder image counts to "0" (no content) and places a new folder with the same name outside the entire folder hierarchy outline in the list on the left. AND there seems to be no way to move the new folder back into the hierarchy. I get an error message that the folder already exists in that location (even if I remove the old folder from the hierarchy).I tried updating LR Classic to v. 14.0.1 but that didn't help.So I reverted my LR Classic installation to v. 13.5.1 which had worked fine previously, but it exhibits the same behavior. At the moment, the only solution I can see is downgrading my entire system back to Mac OS 14. Which is not going to happen. So I assume Ad
Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 presented a signin dialog on startup. If canceled, LR exits. The signin deemands my Adobe login, even though I am already loggin in on this machine. I could not use passkey. Pressng the button to use it did nothing. Only the password was accepted. Neither the Password app or iPassword would auto fill the dialog. This is new and very annoying behavior. I hope this is not symptomatic of a new low Adobe is sinking to.
I just did an update to Lightroom clasic, now the auto edit button will only work if set to 100% magnification in the navigation Pane. How to i get Auto edit back back on during the fit screen size?

UGH - In Lightroom Classic 13.4 my lightroom edits are disappearing. I made edits to photos and then synced over the edits to other photos (several in the same series) and they are randomly disappearing. I uninstalled LrC and reinstalled. Same issue. I am beyond frustrated as I have 2,000 photos it is happening too. the software is completely unusableAny edits made disappear. I can go back in history and get my edit but it doesn't "stick" and I CANNOT keep doing this to get the software to work. Lrc - 13.4Mac OS 14.5

Hello, I took photo's of an event. I copied the photo's to my external hard-drive. I edited all the photo's. Now I want to export them as usual, but the error 'No rendered photo's exists on disk' comes up. There are no "!" on the photos and Lightroom recognize my external harddrive since there is a green symbol next to it. While editing I exported a few images and everything workerd fine. Now I'm done with them and I'm not able to export any of the photo's now?
Lr Classic 14.0Win 10 22H2(19045.5011) After making changes to an image from an external application I went to that folder in Lr and right-clicked to Sync folder. Lr doesn't recognize anything has changed. From file explorer it shows the updated image. From Lr I opened the file in Ps and saved the image. Lr still doesn't recognize that the image has changed. The only way I could get the updated image in Lr was to delete it from Lr and then sync the folder. Am I missing something?
My system configuration is: MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1Lightroom Classic 14.0.1Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 with lastest driver version 26.10.0.0 My old Epson printer died a few months ago, so I haven't done any printing from LR for a while. But I just got a new Canon Pro 300 printer, and I'm seeing some weird stuff happening with my printer settings. I have multiple printer presets setup for my Canon Pro 300 for the various papers I use. These presets work correctly for Photoshop and every other app I have tested them on. But with Lightroom Classic, when I select a printer preset in "Print Settings..." or "Printer...", and then look at the actual printer settings, one or more settings will intermittently be different from what is stored in the preset. The problem occurs on Color Matching, Media Type, and Paper Source. If I change the settings in "Print Settings" to what I want, and then click "Printer..." they are often changed to something incorrect. My Google searchin
After Lightroom Clasic 14.0.1 update it is not possible to access profile browser in develop module. It shows only basic profiles. When I try to import profiles, that are not shown I get an message that profiles are already imported. If I select an previously edited photo with profile applied, that profile shows in browser. Even with existing profiles, it is not possible to get preview grid view. I did reinstall Lightroom classic, but issue stays. Any ideas? Hello, First time posting here and hoping that someone can help. For the past couple of days, my Lightroom Classic has been painfully slow to the point of losing out on two days worth of work as I cannot edit any of my images. Simply loading the application causes my Mac to go into overdrive, and attempting tasks such as 'cropping' or 'local adjustments' pushes it over the edge! (fan going and colour wheel endlessly spinning). Can anyone help?! For some added context: - I recently updated my Mac to Sequoia 15.0.1 and have 41gb of memory - I recently updated LRc to v14.0.1 - I store my catalogs on a SSD I have tried: - Restarting laptop - Increasing 'Raw Camera Cache Settings' up to 20GB - Cleaned my Mac and removed cache files - Reinstalling lightroom - Changing graphics processor to 'full acceleration' - Downloading LRC v14.1 on a different Mac which is still on 'Ventura 13.2.1 and has 96GB Free memory I'm at a lost for what to try
Im trying to change the location of the highlighted folder to a different drive. Actually I should add that I am trying to change all Lightroom photo locations to a new drive. I figured out how to move the catalog already and thats it.
