Lightroom Classic

Good morningI have the new Iphone 16 pro, I have taken some test pictures. I manage to import the images to Lightroom classic, but when I want to view them the LRC closes unexpectedly. I have deactivated in preferences in the GPU of my IMAC. Any solution? Thanks

Hello, It is not often that I post an issue, but I am helping one of my students who has a technical problem with Lightroom Classic. She is running the most current version.  She is on a new DELL All-In-One computer.  It has the Nvidia Graphics card as well as Intel Graphics.  Lightoom is choosing the Nvidia GPU.Here is the test problem.  Any time she chooses in the Develop Module, BLUR Background, the program comes back with a dialog box that says Something Went Wrong.  Then, when I go to Preferences, Performance, it shows, the GPU disabled, and says there was an error in the Nvidia Driver.  We have re-installed Lightroom Classic, Created a new Catalog, and reset the configuration file.  We also have updated the Nvidia Driver from the Nvidia Website.  That did help the performance issues but still did not resolve the technical issues with LR.  There are other issues also in the develop module that result in LR Hanging. These issues did

For the first time, I want to print a number of different photos from my LRC library onto one page.So I went to the Print module, and struggled for a while.I chose the Custom Package option since the description seemed right.I then found that in the Print module we ONLY  have access to Collections.I dragged a photo onto the page, and resized and moved it to where I wanted it.Then I clicked on another collection, and the photo currently on the page vanished.I went around in circles for a few minutes, then let Google do the searching. And it appears that the Print module ONLY works with photos that are in the filmstrip.I literally facepalmed. So I wanted to check, before I make a futile complaint to Adobe.Is that true? We can't just drag photos into the Custom Package, arrange them, and then they stay there if we move to another collection?Based on the fact that we can't directly ACCESS the rest of our Library from the Print module I suspect that's right. Am I missing

Can I retrieve User Presets (Develop Presets) from a Mac TimeMachine backup? I haf ab ilder mac ans just biught a new one. Dli sid a cowan install amd hust need my presets. Please. Can anyone help. 

My workflow is to import images on my MacBook. Then I share the previews 2ith adobe cloud. I do alot of culling (flagging photos for deletion etc) I also edit social media worth posts on my phone. If I edit a photo, it will share with the edits etc as expected. However, if I move to a different picture and go back to the previous one I editted. The edits are gone and it's back to the original unedited version. It's like when open a picture on mobile it sends a reset edit option. The pictures show with the editted thumbnail in the photo reel, but as soon as you go back it clears. There are no versions to restore or anything. Is this a bug with the mobile app? Attached a screen grab with an obvious edit so it's easy to see what's happening. I have rebooted the phone and deleted the app, cleared cache etc and reinstalled.  I have logged out and back in. Not sure what else I could do other than to reset my entire sync library which I really don't wanna do because it's 30k picture

Question for all the SDK gurus.Is there any API to "copy to clipboard"?On Mac one can copy any "static tex" in the UI and paste it but that IS NOT available to Windows.For my plug-ins I have thought about allowing to double click on a static text to "copy to clipboard" .I wish we had PDF with all the existing API and so on...like that I could search them. .

Hello everyone, I realize this issue has been discussed before, but I still haven't found the information I need. I am using Windows 10 as my operating system, and I store my Lightroom catalog and raw images on my D Drive, while Lightroom is installed on my C Drive (which is the same as the OS) - both fast 1B m.2 nvme.I plan to implement the 3-2-1 backup strategy and would like to have a grab-and-go capability. In the event of a disaster (like a fire or an earthquake), I want to be able to quickly grab my external storage and run. I also intend to back up my documents to the same drive for that reason.For this purpose, I want to add an external drive and a cloud backup. My current question concerns the external drive, and I’ve identified three methods:1. LRC freezing up and causing "App Memory Exceeded" alerts on my iMAC. (2017)...help!

Recently LR classic crashes periodically. I have a fairly new computer with 32 gig of ram. No other programs are opened while using it except Windown. Any one have this problem and a solution? Thanks

Lightroom 13.5.1 / MacOS 15.0.1From upgrading sequoia, Often lightroom shows full disk access warning is showneven full disk access is already given on system settings->privacy and security.once off then on nothing happpen. 

Hi,  I work with two Computers / Installations and Accounts.  And one shows a hirachiy the other does not. Support of Excire tells me this is native beahaviour of Lightroom as soon as Keywords and Tags are within a different hirachy. Can anyone tell me what to do to get rid of this hirachy within Lightroom Classic.  See the XMP shows nothing which I could identify as a reason that the behavior of both installations is differently showing the Tags.    Where can I adjust this in Lightroom Classic to NOT show the hirachy. Ich habe Win11 vor einem Monat installiert und es gibt seitdem das Problem.Grafikkarte: Nivdia Quatro GForce RTX 3000 Laptop GPU 8 GB.Die Treiber sind laut Linovo und GForce aktuell. Treiberversion: 31.0.15.3878 vom 10.06.2024Laut meiner Beobachtung über den Task-Manager -> Leistung, kommt die Grafikkarte selten an ihre Leistungs-Grenzen und trotzdem friert LrC ein!Wer weiss die Lösung, wäre für mich sehr hilfreich!Danke im Vorraus!Johann

I have created a sub-catalog with some raw file. I then save it to an external drive and remove the original folder. I then import the sub-catalog and edit one of the raw file. How do I save the edit. I try setting the (Edit > Catalog setting > Automatically write changes into XMP) and also (Metadata > Save Metadata to file) to create a xmp file but when I re-import the sub-catalog, the preview show the new edit but when I go to "Develop", it revert to the edit when I originally created the sub-catalog. I also try using "Export as catalog" to create/update the catalog without saving the raw since it is on the external drive but nothing get updated in the external drive/folder. I think it is a bug or a feature not put in. Click to Zoom suddenly lightroom changes to people search. How do I reset it?

When I filter on portrait aspect photos and set the crop it to 1x1, the screen goes black.  I've tried 3 other defined crops without an issue.  Once the screen is black, other selections within the panel are no longer availalbe and escape doesn't work.  I can go back to the grid (G) or press undo multiple times to get back to a non-black screen. I'm using a Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 and LR classic 13.5.1 Is this a bug?

My hard drive failed and I no longer have the original files to my imports in LRC. I've tried to extract previews, but I dont have them either. I can't find anything on the internet that has been helpful. I even backup my catalogs each week but going to those folders hasnt helped. What do I do?

Lightroom Classic using all my Ram,cannot understand why its using 15gb of 16gb ram on my Macbook Pro M2.

Habe einen neuen Laptop, um im Urlaub Fotos bearbeiten zu können. Läuft unter Win 11, habe den alten Desktop (Win 10) auf LR C 13.5 upgedatet und 13.5 auch am Laptop installiert. Habe am Laptop einen neuen Katalog kreiert, habe dort im Urlaub täglich Fotos importiert und bearbeitet. Daheim habe ich alle Bilder rüberkopiert, synchronisiert (alles erfolgreich) und dann (über Netzwerkverbindung) aus dem am Laptop gespeicherten Katalog importiert. Es kommt eine Fehlermeldung ("unbekannter Fehler ..."), es sind aber alle Entwicklungseinstellungen übertragen worden - mit Ausnahme der Freistellungsüberlagerung, und Stapel wurden auch nicht übernommen. Da ich viele Panoramen aus jeweils bis zu 10 Fotos dabei habe, ist das äußerst lästig, weil ich bei jedem Panorama wieder die Freistellung festlegen und dann die Ausgangsfotos in den Stapel darunter legen muss. Habe die unterschiedlichen Bildschirmauflösungen verdächtigt, an beiden Geräten die gleiche Auflösung eingestellt, das Resultat ist das

Hi guys! I just got my first Fuji camera, a GFX 50R. From what i understand lightroom should have camera matching profiles that match Fuji's film simulations in Lightroom but they dont show up in my profile browser? As you see in the screen grab its a fuji RAF file, which should have the camera matching profiles? Thanks for any help   

When importing RAW files from either Canon or Fuji cameras, many of the sliders in the Develop module have values other than zero. I have no Develop Settings to apply during Import at all in that menu. Additionally, I cannot simply click on the individual slider cursors to zero them out. Reset button does nothing. I have to manually reset each value by clicking into the window and typing "0". LR 13.5.1MacBook Pro M2 Pro 64 GBOS 15.0.1 (but the problem was occuring in the previous OS as well)Is this a bug or another setting I can access to control this?

Hi there, I am a wedding photograph and I usually outsource the culling/selection of the wedding photos. I do this by sending the person in question the catalogue with the photos and smart previews. When I create the cataloque, however, I also create "medium" previews. Here's my question: If I send the person who is does my culling the previews in addition to the smart previews, will it help their computer go faster when culling? I can't send them all of the raws because it would take forever, but I can send them the previews file if it helps them. I hope this question makes sense. Thanks!Matt

Szenario:1. Rate images in Bridge.2. Import directory of images into LrC.3. ReRate images in Bridge.4. LrC does not see updates, but directory must be removed and newly re-imported. Q: Is there a way not having to re-do step 4 every time one re-rates images? 

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my develop page. When I move from one image to another in Lightroom Classic, the page reloads twice and this is really annoying. Is there a solution? I also think this appeared in the 13.5 update

Bonjour,Depuis peu sur lightroom classic je ne peut plus ouvrir une photo avec photoshop. Une erreur apparait:     Avertissement d'ouverture de la version Photoshop     Lightroom Classic et Adobe Photoshop 2024 ont des problèmes de connexion. Veuillez réinstaller Adobe       Photoshop 2024 et réessayer. J'ai réinstallé LRC et PS mais cela n'a pas corrigé le problème. Que puis je faire ?

Hallo zusammen, ich wollte auf einem Macbook (macOs High Sierra 10.13.6) Lightroom 6 per DVD installieren.Zuvor war auf dem Rechner Lightroom 5 installiert. Alles lief ohne Probleme. Was ich gemacht habe: Lightroom 5 deinstalliert. Und zwar habe ich das Lightroom Icon einfach nur in den Papierkorb verschoben.  Danach habe ich Lightroom 6 installiert. Leider bekomme ich immer folgende Fehlermeldung (siehe Anhang.) Der Computer ist aber mit dem Internet verbunden und Uhrzeit und Datum sind korrekt eingestellt. Wenn ich auf dieser Fehlermeldung auf "Support" klicke, steht dort, meine Seriennummer wäre ungültig? Die Software wurde aber zuvor noch nirgendwo installiert. Ich hoffe auf Hilfe. Lightroom lässt sich derzeit überhaupt nicht mehr öffnen (da die 7 Tage Testversion abgelaufen ist) Danke und Grüße
