Lightroom Classic

Hallo in die Runde   Mein Wunsch/ meine Idee ist, Einstellungen für die Farbmarkierungen zu bekommen. Hab einen Screenshot angefügt - eins der Fotos ist als rot markiert - leider sehe ich das tatsächlich garnicht aufgrund meiner Farbsehschwäche.   Wäre toll, wenn man als Nutzer die Farbtöne bzw. Deckkraft anpassen könnte, um diese sehen zu können. Aktuell sind die Markierungen so für mich nicht nutzbar.

I shoot a lot of real estate, and using "select Objests" works good, but I would love a "Select Ceiling" option in Lightroom. Seems easier that "select sky".

Hi, I would like to change the brush flow in the masks after I apply it. Now if I select the brush in a mask and move the flow slider it does not change. I hope this can be done in the future. Regards Fabio  

Hi   As an ethical pro-photographer, specalized in demonstration / manifestations such as pride or political events, It's important for me to control the amount of clues on a pictures which make it possible to identify people (faces, tattoos, numberplates etc...).   It's easy to use filtres in Photoshop to blur or pixelate parts of the photo, but I would need more powerful options to do it in Lightroom Classic. Until now I use masks and "clarity" / "sharpness" / "blur" cursors to blur the faces, and I often need to duplicate the effect and it's not really satisfying.   I would love to have an option to make the process faster, so here are some suggestions: -add a new cursor or option in LRC to add blur of effects specifically to anonymize or make something unrecognizable (a more intense blur effect in one pass) -add an option using AI to detect and generate fake faces replacing the ones in the picture (which would need to include this information inside the metadata, "AI

I'm a wedding photographer and I use Lightroom Classic as my main post-rpoduction tool.Today I lost my precious photo custom order, again. Why, really, why can't we save photo custom order??? Why I opened Lightroom and photo order has changed to File name? So, if I accidentally move a photo again, I loose all the previous reordering job. Why in the hell I just can't save a custom order per folder? Is this feature so hard to implement?And please, don't tell me that the solution is to rename all photos after finishing the reordering job.

Hi, For keywording, my typical first step would be to have a look at the standard photo categories (Example given below taken form www.shutterstock.com homepage) to enter as "generic keywords" before entering the "photo specific keywords". For the generic keywords, the only asssistance I have in LR is "Keyword Set". But I find the no. of cells it has only 09 which is limited. According to the below list, if I have at least 30 cells I could easily visit the relevant Keyword Set and then select the appropriate categories from it at once.Is there any way I could increase that or how do I make a request to Adobe regarding this? Bring back the possibility to stop a Collection from being synced AND stop photos in that Collection from being synced as well, in one-step.Since LR CC 2015.7 this happens when you stop syncing a Collection (clicking the little sync icon or deselecting Sync with Lightroom Mobile via mouse contextual menu):(Now you have to go and find those photos in that Collection from All Synced Photographs and remove them from there. Too many steps, too cumbersome and too easy to make a user error.)There still is the requested option to remove photos at the same time when you delete a Synced Collection instead of just stopping it from syncing:That same option should appear for just stopping the Collection being synced as well.The first dialog for stopping a Collection from being synced is messy altogether as it asks if the user wants to "Stop syncing these photos?" but the button for doesn't actually stop syncing the photos and instead keeps those photos synced to LR Mobile

Hi all,    I regularly shoot tethered to Lightroom with my Hasselblad. I shoot directly to a MacBook Pro with a 2nd monitor that faces away from me to allow clients/art directors to view the images as they are shot. When I want to overlay copy/text using the 'Loupe Overlay - Layout Image' tool this does not display on the second monitor but only on the MacBook (Main/1) display. Is it possible to do this? Or can I request it be added as a feature? This also applies to the other tool in the 'Loupe Overlay' namely the guides and grid options.   It's a shame no one else can see the image on a big screen with the text overlaid!   Thanks!

i very often need to create a copy of a photo and move it to another folder (when i create a folder structure within one project). it would be perfect when all iterations/copies of original photo will be synced (100% identical), virtual (not using disk space until export), movable to different folders of catalogue. "virtual copy" is not a solution because it's not movable to another folder. thanks. fv

When I have exported an image in LRC - I would like to add the name of the folder to which the image is exported. And not just export and date as there is today  

I have often found that it would be helpful to know which edits happened between different snapshots. For example: I make 10 changes to the original photo and create a timestamped Snapshot A. Then, I make 5 additional changes to various settings, and create timestamped snapshot B.   Currently, no "Snapshot [A/B] was created here" step shows up History pane. This means that I have no idea what changes I'm actually reversing if I go back to snapshot A from snapshot B at some point. I don't know what stage in the History I'm going back to.   It'd be helpful for snapshot creation to just show up automatically as a step in History—as it does already with an "Export" action.   A workaround (below, h/t @prbimages) basically involves creating a snapshot and then applying it immediately afterwards. Applying a snapshot does show up as a step in the History pane, which is why this works—but it'd be nice for snapshot creation to automatically show up!   Create a snapshot.

There's currently no way for a plugin to update the AI settings for a photo. For example, users of my Copy Settings plugin must do a manual Update AI Settings after copying masks.  If there were photo:updateAISettings(), then Copy Settings could save users that manual step.

It would be helpful if the filter settings set for a folder are maintained while importing and exporting to a catalog. I regularly batch export files to create HDR versions of an image. While doing this, I'll attempt to work in another folder while Lightroom Classic supposedly works in the background. When setting filters in the newer folder I'm now working on (while LR is exporting in the background) these filter settings do not hold. LR removes the filter settings every time it imports a new file from the background export. Please update LR to keep filter settings so I can be more productive. 

The left column in LrC (where catalog, folders, collections, etc live) has an artificial width restriction. It means that a lot of my collection names are cut off; I have to hover with the mouse cursor for a bit to have it show the collection name.   Is there any way to adjust this (e.g. allow for a wider column or wrap text)? I can't find anything in settings. Or do I just have to deal with it/adjust all of my collection naming schema to fit within the restriction?   Especially if some crucial info is towards the end of otherwise similar collection names, it really gets to be a pain. The usable space gets even shorter when dealing with multiple levels of nested collection sets.   I'm running a MBP 13" M1 2020; Sonoma 14.4.1; LrC v13.2. Issue presents with the same cutoff at 1680x1050 and 1440x900 resolution.   Note: I have this issue on LrD as well, but it is able to show a lot more of a collection name prior to cutting things off.

I used the Mavic mini2 I borrowed from a friend recently and it's a very fun toy which has an automatic 360 panorama mode, Where are you Press the shutter, Wait 30 seconds and you have a perfect panorama from anywhere in space above you. its even RAW and not JPG. Amazing!   Import to Lightroom \ Photomerge \ Edit in Photoshop(Beta)  \ Filter-Distortion-Polar Coordinates- gets you a nice Stereographic Projection...   And here, you notice that the middle/bottom is messed up because light room doesn't stitch the bottom properly, though the shot of the bottom exists, it's just that the panorama Editor has never been updated and brought up to date for a real professional workflow. As it is with many other things, it's kind of been forgotten because it's good enough for most and the rest... well... {There does exist one other good panorama stitching tool I am aware of called PTgui / Hugin unfortunately that is based on open source and also hasn't been updated since the turn of

When exporting raw files to JPG all JPG files exported will have the date and time modified to the current date and time the file was actually exported. This can cause issues in programs that rely on the creation date and time instead of the date and time inherent to the exif files (like MacOS Photos!).   Therefore, I suggest Adobe to add a checkbox during JPG export, to retain the date and time according to the information alrady present in the exif files.   Silkypix is already capable of this as show in the attachment below.   Thank you.

There are some companies now offering AI editng, learning your editing style and white balance preferences based on numerous previous completed edits or anchor edits within the same file. Can this technology not be built into lightoom somehow? We already have auto settings and 'match total exposures' but if other companies have this technology, then it could potentially be easy for adobe to implement within the software? Is it possible to put the print Template Browser on the right side of Lightoom to not have to move the mouse accross the screen over and over? It is by far the most used item I would use in a higer volume workflow...

When perspective correction is selected in camera for the Leica Q3 (I have it set to On/Off on the Q3's option button #2), this does not appear to activate in LR Classic when converting the DNG, using the camera's image metadata. Only manual perspective correction appears to be available, which makes the camera feature rather pointless. I am using LR Classic (V 13.0.1) on an M2 MacBook Air with 16GB RAM and with Sonoma 14.0 Operating System. Profile corrections does not list the Leica Q3 but only the M, R and S models. 

It would be a really cool feature to be able to sync video films from Desktop Lightroom to Mobile Lightroom rather than just the other way round. We use Lightroom Mobile to present image media to clients but have to switch from Mobile Lightroom to another programme when we move the presentation from 'stills' to the 'motion'.

I would love to have a social profile/groups, through the apps, that we can do things such as asking for tips, creating a following, add our social media's onto our profile - kind of like a support community, and to help grow our businesses/personal hobbies and or other, and possibly sell our art, as well. #AdobeSocialCommunity   It would be good to have a platform seperate from the others, just to focus on the Adobe community, socially with above ideas infultraited. 

  I shoot sports... and it's super useful to RATE SHOTS IN THE CAMERA using the "rating" button on the back (a very small % of shots are keepers).   Photos work perfectly ... but when video comes into Lightroom the stars aren't preserved at all-- they are just dropped.  In the LR classic forum, JohnRellis investigated and found:   the sample video from EOS R6 and another from the Canon EOS R50 (released last year), both use the industry-standard metadata field Quicktime:Rating to store ratings, whereas LR reads ratings from EXIF:Rating and XMP:Rating.      REQUEST: please add support for import of Quicktime:Rating for all us Canon shooters taking video!   thx

It would be very helpful if LRC would automatically highlight, within the folder tab (especially in color!) the folder name/path of your most recent import. As an example of how this affects me, I very often create very similar or identical subfolders for sports shoots I do. When importing images that I may have in a folder labeled "RAW", I don't always import the master folders above it because I might not want other subfolders included in the import (like say a "video clips" folder).  The result of this is that I can have numerous folder in LRC that show as  "RAW" or "Cam A" with subfolder "RAW" below it, etc.  So, when I initially do my import and it finishes, the Library module appears with the new images, but the particular folder containing them over on my left sidebar is hidden amongst it's peers that look very similar, and it might not be initially visible due to a long list of folders (have to scroll up/down to find it). It would be great if LR Classic added a feature to convert brush presets to XMP format as well so they can be used in Camera RAW as well as LR Classic. Currently brush presets only work in  LR Classic and only in lrtemplate format unlike regular presets that get read and converted on the fly by LR Classic from lrtemplate to XMP format.
