I recently updated my lightroom classic a couple days ago to the v13.5 and it worked fine that day (3 days ago) i went back in to work on my newest photography project and i have zero photos in lightroom. like, not even one. all of my folders are greyed out. i thought i would deal with it later and just re-import my newest work again and i cant import them because they are already imported but greyed out. i tried importing the most recent back up and i get error messages such as "not writable and could not be opened" or "could not locate" no files have been moved, no hard drives have been unplugged or located to a different drive. any help would be greatly appreciated. im using windows 11 if that matters.
Am I able to get a replacement of LR6 because my copy was corrupted due to computer crash
Hello, When synchronizing files or during importing new files being added to Library do not show up until the program is shutdown and restarted. This is a real problem. Edit in Photoshop psds are not showing up in Lightroom although the box is selected in preferences. This has happened during the newest upgrage of Lightroom 13.5 and MAC OS Sonoma 14.6.1. Please help. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for any problem with software!]

The camera matching profiles for the A7RV couldn't be further from camera matching. I click them and suddenly people's skin turn red. My camera does not give red skin tones in the jpeg files it takes. Do these need looking at again?
I can see my collections in the Lightroom CC Develop module but my folders are not displayed. How do I fix this? Using Macbook Pro. Lightroom CC 13.5 release. OS ver Sonoma 14.5 [Moved from ‘Lightroom ecosystem’ to ‘Lightroom Classic’ by moderator]
I have lightroom 13.4 classic on windows 11 and try to import (in place becuase the files are already there) from another catalog Import photos from a different Lightroom Classic catalog It seems to import everything in the catalog I choose. Is there some way to be more selective of what should be imported?
Can I install LR, Lrc and Photoshop 2023 on the same computer that is running LR 6 and photoshop CS6. What do I need to do and what will happen to my current catalogs? Should I back up my current LR 6 files on a seperate disk before installing? Thanks Mike
So, I'm using the new Windows Copilot Surface. Been waiting for an update to fix the "Edit in photoshop" which doesn't work. It opens up Photoshop and no files open. So, I install the new LRC update and the fix seems to have been to actually remove te feature lol. Now, "Edit in photoshop" options are grayed out. Uninstalled PS / reinstalled. Didn't fix. Uninstalled both / re-installed both, didn't fix. Found an article aout editing the registry and adding the PS path, etc. But it was already there. I deleted it and re-added it per the article and didn't fix. So... it's broke. Still. Just kinda different.
My setup for many years has been to store photos on a NAS drive that is NFS-auto-mounted to my Mac. Just now I went to import new photos, and my target directory is no longer available. The existing photos mounted through that same directory are still visible within Lightroom. I'm wondering if this is some sort of app/directory permission issue because of the automounting and synthetic linking, but that hasn't been an issue in the past. See no directories available under /nas. Should see /nas/media there. And here is my automount/synthetic configuration: Lightroom Classic v13.5 macOS 14.6.1 Any thoughts? I'm kind of stuck if I have no way to import new photos. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for any problem with software!]
Hey experts! My question is: Does LRC automatically read the xmp edit information in import (when the xmp is available)? Are there situations/ scenarios when it won't behave like that?I tested it, and it does apply the edits automatically, though I want to have 100% assurance that this is the default behavior and nothing can change it.I couldn't find the answer to this online, and I am always getting amazing responses here 🙂I appreciate your help!Best,
I have updated to LR 13.0 and found that merged dng files (for panoramas) are now very small. For example, I merged three 76MB RAW files and the resulting dng was only 18MB. Normally the merged dng file would be more than 200MB. However I found that when I exported the dng file as a tiff without compression at 300dpi it did exceed 200MB. I've gone back and checked previous merged dng panoramas and observed that they were very large but when I merged them again in the 13.0 version of LR they suddenly dropped down to about a tenth of the files merged before updating.I am using an M1 Mac Mini and running Ventura. What's going on? Any ideas?
I went on a trip and copied files from my extenral hard drive to a samller portbable drive and worked on them while away. When I got home I hooked up my permanent extenral drive and the files were missing because they had been relinked so I clicked on the missing file icon and relinked one to the file's original location. I thought this would relink all of the files in the same folder but it's not. So I am having to relink each one indivdiuually. Why isn't Lightroom doing the automatic relinking like it usually does? Thanks.
Lightroom keeps crashing when trying to do Import, just when I am short on time so I cannot post some photos! I have the latest version on a Windows 10 computer. I need to get this fixed soon! LR can be vert frustrating to use and Support has been lacking.
I am with an iMac Retina, 27-inch, 2017, Ventura up-to-date 13.6.9. LR Classic fails to launch, shut down, relauched iMac, uninstalled, reinstalled LR CLassic, set prefrences to default, tried finding .plist files ... whatever I could find to troubleshoot ... still, for a second the intro screen with the silver-tinselled person might appear, then silence again. It's so frustrating, LR cloud-based and PS are still running on this iMac. On my MacBookPro all works. I just don't get what is wrong, very frustrating, anyone with a solution ... would HIGHLY appreciate ....
I recently purchased a license for Lightroom and Photoshop and even though I like Photoshop I have a very bad taste in my mouth with Lightroom and if I can't figure this out I will need to drop the software as it is more of a burden than a benefit. To start off my computer specs are as follows: i-9900K 64 Gigs RAM 2 x M.2 SSDs GTX 970 (Support Direct X 12 and 4K) with 4 Gigs of VRAM Windows 11 I have tried every trick in the book to improve performance including Placing the catalogue on a non-OS M.2 SSD Drive Keep a lot of working space on the OS and non-OS drive (about 50%) Disabling Face and Address Lookup Reducing preview size to 1440 Using 1:1 Previews Reduced the number of images in a catalogue Change the cache size to 100 GB (and place it on a non-OS M.2 SSD Drive) Upgraded from 16 to 64 Gigs of memory Problems I run into The program badly lags and will not respond (to a point I could lose 1/2 a day in waiting) catalogue takes a long time to build
I'm using LR Classic 13.5 and have both the NON beta of PS v25.11.0 and the latest Beta 25.12 installed on my PC (Win 11). Up until recently, chosing to edit in Photoshop from LR brought up the Beta, which is what I want. Now however, it has started bring up the NON beta PS 25.11.0. How can I fix this? TIA - Richard
I cannot get Lightroom Classic to open. The lock file is open but the app will not open. There are no warnings or messages showing. It is trying to open and the computer is running very hard, but nothing happens for a long time and then it opens but the computer still runs very hard.
I have LR classic installed on an M1 Mac Mini with 16GB RAM. I hadn't used it for a couple of weeks and started again this week after getting a new camera body and lens. I saw that LR had been updated to 13.5.I was using LR on Friday night and left it open overnight - not unusual for me. Next morning my Mac was unresponsive and the Force Close window was open with the message that my Mac was out of application memory. I had to force quit LR to get round the issue.I used LR again to import 21 new files and did some basic editing (change the camera profile on all files with copy/paste). LR was then using 32GB of memory. In fact this happens if I just open LR and leave it without doing anything.CPU usage varied between 50% and 130% with about 115 threads, so I suspect something is running in the background that is hogging resources. Here's what I see this morning. This is on startup. This is after 5 mins with no action on my part. Has anyone else noticed this or has any sug
Good day. I bought a type-c cable to shoot directly in Lightroom. But! Lightroom sees my camera (canon eos r), gives the ability to shoot remotely (release the shutter), but I don't see any photos at all (just a grey screen). That is, there are no photos online at all! And I wanted to shoot directly in Lightroom and apply a preset. And it also doesn't save photos in the designated folder. What should I do?
My sync indicator (top right cloud icon) shows status "sync error" - if I go online via "view sync status on web" (which is hidden behind "option" key - why? second why - why do I even have to go online in browser window just to see what images have sync issues or what the problem is?!?!) there are NO ISSUES in the issues album. Where do I go from here - restarting Lightroom doesn't help. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. This is my last and final plea to Adobe to fix Lightroom Classic CC performance.I spent a considerable amount of money upgrading primary desktop computer in an effort to alleviate performance problems with my software stack, and the ONLY one that does not measure up is Lightroom Classic CC. DaVinci Resolve renders clips in about 10% of the time that it used to... yet Lightroom performance has not improved at all. In fact, with the latest version, it's gotten worse: It is absolutely insane that I have to restart Lightroom 16 times in a single day of photo editing (like I did TODAY). Have a look at my system if you think I'm being unreasonable. Intel i9-7980XE Extreme Edition Processor, 64 GB RAM. Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, m.2 disk, etc.Last chance, Adobe. If you don't fix this by the time my current contract expires, then I'm out. I will not tolerate this nonsense any longer.-----Below is my system information as captured by Lightroom:Lightroom
When i try to import files, nothing happends. Even importing one picture doesnt work, from my usual camera. I tried: - optimizing catalog - increasing cache from 5gb to 10gb - purging cache Lightroom Classic [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. Please help. I made a rookie mistake while using Lightroom Classic 13.1.I spent hours going through a bunch of photos and rating them to decide which ones i will be editing.I then watched a tutorial on how to import DNG files that I purcahsed so that I can make presets from them. I assumed this would be the same as importing regular .xmp files for presets. What I didnt know is that you need to start with a fresh new empty catalogue to import DNG files or it will overwrite your progress on the current catalog that I was working on before I chose "Import Photos and Video...." Now my catalog is nothing but the DNG's that were imported to create presets from and not the hundreds of photos that I spent hours going through. Is there a way to get my work back that I spent so much time on or is it overwritten forever? If my work is lost, I really wish it wasnt so easy to lose hours worth of work in Lightroom.
