Lightroom Classic

To import I create a specific folder, copy the photographs there from the card, remove the card reader, start Lightroom and import from the folder. Lightroom then does it's thing where it processes each image, darkening each one as it goes. But recently it has started only processing the images that are currently seen in the Library Filter. To process the next group of 120 images, I have to scroll down to make them visible. I can tell this is happening because aside from the visual indicator of Lightroom darkening each image as it goes, a process monitor shows me the CPU is working hard to do so. It stops when it reaches the end of what's currently visible and will go no further. I know that it used to batch process every image in there, whether I was looking at them in the Library Filter or not. As you can see in this screenshot I have apparently selected Minimal build previews. Is this what's causing it? Will switching to Embedded/Sidecar or Normal fix this? Or is there ano

I have images from my camera that I imported into Lightroom Classic. I cropped the images to 150x100 pixels. Now, I am in the export settings. The images are for web use, so the maximum file size should be 150 KB while still maintaining the dimensions of 150x100 pixels.   but the resolution shoulden be so bad you can't make out what the image should be eighter 🙂   i have attached a screenshot of my export settings!   PLEASE HELP 

MacOS, Mac Mini, Colours, Dell  S272H, Lightroom, Photoshop In Lightroom (latest version) the colours of a simple shot obviously brighter compared to Photoshop (latest version). Colours most affected seem to bright yellow/yellow greens.The colour profiles are identical (set all to PRoPhoto). If I check the same image in Bridge, again brighter than PS.Tried all on sRGB. No change.Similarly in Serif's Affintity v.2 colours pretty well the same as LR.... All 3 much better than PS!(And I'm partially colour-blind too!)Using Mac Mini and a Dell  S272H, reprofiled using a Spyder X ProEven printing via (gulp) Epson Easy Photoprint on my old iMac are good!

I use Lightroom Classic 13.3.1 on my new Powerbook Pro and have an Epson 3880. How do I get prints to look the same as my photograph on the computer screen?

I am trying to figure out the method to method to perform "Add/Subtract Tool of the selected type" using the SDK.The current KBSC assigned to those commands are not good anymore to me and so I would rather create equivalent scripts myself to which assign my own KBSC. I would also like to create my own "Intersect Tool of the selected type" script because that command is missing. I tried to use LrDevelopController.getSelectedMaskTool ()  but it doesn't' seem to be the right choice. Can anyone enlighten me?

This is a recent, intermittent issue (I've used LR for years, and only seen this recently).  I'm running Lightroom Classic CC release 7.5.  When merging photos to HDR, Lightroom will process the images and at the moment it creates the DNG it sometimes outputs an error "Some save metadata operations were not performed".  It then states "Photos have read only access (1)", and lists the new dng file that was just created.  This also happens occasionally when merging to Panorama.To try to debug this, I made sure that the folder containing all my raw files had no read-only files in it (I did this in the properties pop-up for the folder, clearing the "read-only" attribute box and applying that setting to all files in the folder).  This was done BEFORE any HDR merges were performed.  If there's a read-only file involved, its something LR is creating temporarily during the merge.I also checked the files in question after the error (both the raw images and the new

This is a first time issue for me.  Many images from an event shoot are showing banding in the library module (noticable on suits and plain color clothing) but are fine in develop module.  Problem is that the banding shows up in the exported jpgs - looks the same as the library version, but develop module still shows the images perfectly, no banding.  Running Windows 11 Home. Please help.

Lightroom freezes for me right away upon opening. I've sent plenty of crash reports into Adobe but I'm not sure what to do next. Is there guidance somewhere on what to do in this situation?

Hey guys, I'm stumped on this one. I've done everything I can think of to diagnose and I can't get LR to stay open. I'm on Windows 11 on a very fast machine.   What's happening: I open Lightroom Classic and within about 15 seconds, it just force closes. I can't see anything in Event Viewer that tells me what exactly caused the crashed.   What I've done: Uninstalled and reinstalled LR, CC (using the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool as well) Diasabled GPU in preferences Updated C++ Redistro's Updated all drivers Repaired Windows Memory Scans/DISM/Hard Drive checks (all clear) Rolled back Windows Update   What else can I try?   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. This pertains to Point Color, using the eyedropper to pick a color, then adjusting hue, luminosity, and saturation. a. If I do that in the general (not masking) panel, when I make changes to a color, I can click the “eye” on and off to see the how the color differs. AND as I toggle, the numbers selected for the ranges appear and disappear and reappear, represented of the changes applied. b. If I do that inside of a mask, when I make changes to a color, I can click the “eye” on and off to see the how the color differs. HOWEVER, as I toggle, the numbers selected for the ranges disappear and do not return. 

It is my understanding that the processing available in Lr is the same as LrC. Yet, this differs when adding a vignette to a photo…LrC has a heading of Post-Crop Vignetting; and then the ability to select the Style from a dropdown arrow.     WHILELr simply calls it Vignette and does not have the ability to select a Style.Is that difference intentional, or will Lr be updated to reflect LrC?

I use Portfolio for multiple websites I manage and I have to say I'm generally very happy with the solution. However one major limitation is the ability to optimise the site for SEO. I use synched albums on my site and have keywords in all my photos, but I wish to add more desciption for SEO in the "Alt Text" option. In the images I have I can only do this in the caption field. But I don;t want to have the full desciption that I would add in "Alt Text" to be displayed as a caption. So how to resolve this ?And how do I know my keywords are still present in the Metadata ?

Ils gardent leurs propriétés couleurs dans un autre dérawtiseur. Last night I was working on a set of photos and using the AI Denoise relatively frequently. Not sure if it is related, but I've lost at least 4 full edits in this set already in 1-2 hours of working on this catalog. Is it possible the catalog is corrupt (I created a new catalog for this import, so that any existing issues with another catalog wouldn't affect it), or is it because of using AI Denoise, or would this have anything to do with the photos living on an external drive vs the local hard drive? I cannot for the life of me figure out what the problem is, but definitely cannot keep spending time on edits that disappear spontaneously. Never had this issue with Lightroom Classic before but I have seen it in Capture One once before. Quite simply put, a photo will suddenly revert to its original state without any of its edits and I believe I have not touched or done anything. There is no "undo" option. The edits are just lost and I've rebuilt them each time this happened.&nb

The adaptive presets to blur the background look great. However, using them really slows Lightroom down when previewing the presets and when making other changes after appyling a preset, especially with masks. The presets are a great feature I'd like to use more, but I'm selective with when I use them since using them increases my editing time a lot. If there's a way to decrease the lag time with these presets, that would be very helpful.

iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 17.5.1MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.5Lightroom Classic 13.4 When I connect my iPhone to my MacBook and try to import photos to Lightroom, it sometimes sees them all, and sometimes not!! There doesn't seem to be any predictability to it. For example, say I have 20 photos on my iPhone and connect to Lightroom to import: It might "see" 15 of them but not the other five. Also it will often grab photos from months ago that have already been imported and see them as "new" even thought they're the same exact photo. I do have "Don't Import Duplicates" checked. Driving me crazy!! Anyone else? Any fix??

This may be a user error, but I am trying the sky mask feature in LC and for some reason sky, background, subject and object are all greyed out.  What am I doing wrong?   Verion is latest at LR6-2-2-v13-3

I use LR to export photos after retouching.The retouched photos are on my desktop in a folder called "output". (These are not big files, only a few layers)They are visible in Bridge, but not in Lightroom.I need to output these in several different sizes and formats, which is my primary use of Lightroom. This is hindering my workflow, especially since my actions in Bridge aren't working either. (They work in Photoshop, but I need to do batch processing.)I'm using: LR 13.4, PS 25.9, on a Mac Book Pro running Sonoma 14.5. Bridge 2023 (I've just updated to the latest version of Bridge 2024, but that doesn't solve my main problem)

Last week I did a photoshoot, and THOUGHT I'd imported photos to Lightroom. I then took some more photos, and added them to Lightroom a couple of days later (on the same SD card) I can see some of the first lot of images, and all of the second lot, but when I try and click on the images, it says 'no file found' and there's nothing there to edit etc. I've tried an tried to re-import them, and every single time I do, it I can see the name of the file, I click on it, and it says 'no photos found' occasionally I'll reinsert the disc, the photos will show up, then they start greying out and disappearing, and then the import icon greys out. The images are DEFINITELY still on the SD card. I'm so worried I'm not going to recover them, and the images were really important to the client. Please, please can anyone help with this? I even tried deleting the file when I reinsert the card, it says it's deleted, but when I insert the card again, it comes straight back up with the SD card name, but sti

Hello everyone, I've two folders with same photos, one on my computer's hd and one on an eternal hd (I'll delete the folder on my computer).I saved the photos on my external hd as a first backup and I've imported in LrC ("Add" function) just some files, but from the computer's hd, to work fast on them.In the first screenshot I've attached here you can see the 131 photos I've imported in LrC from the computer hd.  What I don't understand is why if I'm going to see the files on the external hd LrC is showing me just the other 656.   I used the "Add" function when I've imported the files and they're from two different paths, one from my computer hd and one from the external hd. So, when I try to copy the photos I worked on from my computer's hd to the external hd LrC is showing me a mesasge to say they're already there, like they're already in the catalog...

Hi, I'm using LR on PC Win11When (by accident or even on purpose) opening the secondary monitor view (F11), while no external monitor is attached, LR hangs. This has worked in previous versions without any issues. All goes well on the other hand when an external monitor is attached. KR,Steven

I've had some issues with Lightroom Classic CC lately, where the image will appear fine however once I start working on it, it will suddenly turn dark green and black. Sometimes if I continue to attempt to work on the image it will revert back to its original state, but it has become a more recurring problem now. Any help with this?
