Lightroom Classic

Hi,   It has been some time since I haven posted anything here. Mainly because I haven't been using LR a lot since I was disappointed by the updates or ... lack of them. That feeling remains. However, I must admit the most recent features of enhancement, Denoise and Super Resolution are much welcome. Certainly Denoise, as noise reduction used du s..ck compared to third party software.   Soooo, I would suggest to inherit the edits history when applying photo enhancement. This should be easily fasible starting from the raw file and copy pasting the edits.

It would be very useful if the subject face mask only selected skin and not the eyelashes, that way you can apply skin softening without losing sharpness in the eyelashes.  

The arrow in the photo provided is where my mouse arrow was located, but as you can see, the only healing spot I was able to select was the one underneath, highlighted in the diamond shape.   I would love the ability to manipulate which healing spot is selected, even when they are stacked/layered, as in the example pictured here. I imagine this would best be done through a keyboard shortcut.The largest healing tool was used to remove a motorcycle from the image. After that, I added several more healing spots to correct distortions that didn't look quite right. I'd love to go back to the smaller healing spot, located at the bottom of the vertical beige line, to see if I could refresh or manipulate it to connect the vertical line to the horizontal line. As of right now, I'm unaware of a way to do that in Lightroom Classic.I could continue creating more healing spots "on top" of the largest healing spot (in quotations because once I am no longer actively working on th

There are many reasons for wanting to use LR in a language that doesn't match one's location. People who have moved countries might want to use the software in their native language. Others might use a different language than their native one for work. English is not my first language but, since most of the discourse, help-threads, and guides for LR are in English, I still want to use that language for the UI. The problem is that keyboards in my region don't generally feature dedicated keys for symbols like square brackets and forward slash, which are used for shortcuts in the English version of the software. Instead, these symbols are behind a modifier. This makes many useful shortcuts unavailable.   Making the keyboard layout an optional separate choice from the rest of the localisation would be a big QoL improvement for the software.

I want to sort by video duration to find and flag the 1 to 2 second iPhone "live" files that get saved when I fail to notice that the Live feature is turned on when taking photos with my iPhone. 

I would like to start integrating video into my lightroom catalog. often I am importing just the raw files and sorting through the video with the OS.My idea is to sort on import automagicly with lightroom classice onto two diferent drives.  Raw images and raw video.  Seems like something that should be built in but im not finding it.

It should be nice to have a text-tool in the mask-section. Sometimes I need a simple text or keyword in the image itself as a navigation-help. It should be nice if it works on the same way as the brushtool. If I don't need the text anymore I simply remove the mask. Ton

I'd love to have the option to type in a specific Collection Set when I create a new Collection. With a Collection workflow, it's maddening to have to scroll through dozens, or hundreds from the dropdown menu. In the attached video, I point to where the option would be ideal.

Now that we have HDR inside Lightroom, with virtually no user input, the next step is surely a batch facility for a folder full of bracketed images. Please!!!!

Hello   All the new features that Adobe has added to LrC are great! I am looking back at images that I once thought were unusable, I am now able to revive and use them. However, the features in the Enhance Menu seem to all be mutually exclusive; I can use one but not the other if I want to keep the image raw.   It would be great if I could denoise a raw image and then Super Resolution the same image after denoise.I understand that I can export as a full-resolution TIFF after denoise and then use Super Resolution, but now the image is no longer raw. I appreciate that I may not understand how raw images work, and this may not be technically possible, but I thought I would make the suggestion.Have a great day.Rick.

I shoot sports photos... which means TONS of photos to triage.. and many situations which are very similar but repeat over and over. (eg. "facing the end zone, with mountains in background" .. "facing the 50-yard line")   For these repeating situations.. it'd be SUPER USEFUL to be able to apply a preset (particularly with AI) using a keystroke.   If i could set something like Ctl-Shift-1, 2, 3, etc. then I could remember the 3-4 recurring situations and apply them easily as I triage through tons of photos.

Bilder, die Unscharf sind oder deren Rauschen einfach zu hoch ist. Diese Bilder soll Lightroom gemäß Qualitätskonzept direkt aussortieren, sodass wirklich nur die Qualitativ hochwertigen Bilder genutzt werden. With Smart Collection Sets, This is how I would expect to work:Create a Smart Collection Set under Collections Panel,  Now if we create a Collection within the panel and add a bunch of photos to it,Any Smart Collections created within the Smart Collection Set should consider photos within the collection set to apply the rules. The current Workaround is to create a Collection Set, Create an Album with a specific unique name or the same as the collection set. Create a Smart collection with one of the criteria to choose photos only from the above-created collection within the collection set. This will make the workflow even smoother in terms of organizing and managing collections. This will basically help manage a project being worked on as a smart collection set under collections. 

LRC has made selveral significally update the last year, but one basic is still missing: Sorted name of month. This sort order doesn't make sence! April, August, December, February, January, July, June, Marts, May, November, October, September 04, 08, 12, 02, 01, 07, 06, 03, 05, 11,10, 09LRC do know the number order even if i's displays the name og month.Please! Please!

Now that the masking tool gets more and more powerful I do miss an easy possibility to create a mask which includes all image area (which somehow would correspond to a PS adjustment layer without a mask). The reason for a full image mask is that you can apply an effect on the full image without changing the global development settings.   One example would be e.g. you want to add some color toning of B&W images and you want to do it by adjusting the color channels of the tone curve setting and not using the color grading global adjustments. You can create a preset and then apply it to a whole set of images. However, it will override tone curve adjustments of the indivitual images.   Since the tone curve is now adjustable in the masking tool you are able to have a mask which adds the same color toning using a mask. And you are also able to apply it to the full image area (like layer without a mask) if you 1) add a gradient mask and place it outside the image area which will

I freqently use the Auto button in the Develop module for a quick fix comparison which is fine. However in order to reset it means actually moving down to the bottom 'reset' button which is inconvenient when whizzing through a number of photos. Just a thought - if the 'Auto' button were to be a toggle switch instead of a one hit effect it may improve the user experience? I understand that by holding the 'option' key the tone and presence can be reset individually and if either one is pressed the Auto lights up again. I'm suggesting a really simple Auto toggle without having to move the cursor. I'm not an expert so there's probably something I missed! Thanks.

HelloI have enjoyed trying Edit Replay in Lr on my iPhone. However, I do very little editing on my iPhone/iPad, if at all. I do most of my editing in LrC on the desktop. Invite to Edit has been a very useful tool when collaborating with others once my image has left LrC for Ps. What would be really great would be Edit Replay for LrC. This way I could share all the work in LrC before it got into Ps.Thank you very much.

    The transform tools should really be placed within the cropping and straightening tools under that sperate tab. It will clean up the correction tools tab a little, and transform is more relevant to cropping and composition than standard correction tools.     

The new "red dot" to indicate that some AI-generated masks *may* need updating is helpful, and it is driving me nuts at the same time — when I have multiple masks, I'm clicking through all of them, just to find the one that may need updating.     So which of the three masks in this screenshot needs updating? I don't know until I click. (it's Mask 3, because it's the only one with an AI component).   So an additional indicator dot for the mask AND for the component inside the mask would be helpful.   However... when I see this red dot, I feel like I should update the AI component anyway (after all, the color "red" means attention, alert, danger!) so an option to simply update those components, or a pop-up that one or more components need updating, would perhaps be even more helpful.   Thanks for considering it and for your upvotes. 🙂 Alex.

It would be a great improvement to my workflow (and my aging eyes) if the Content-Aware Remove tool used the red outliner "pen" to target removal areas -- exactly like the object selector "pen" is used in object mask targeting --  instead of the thin-lined boundry used currently.

Over the years, I've come to rely extensively on Adobe's 'collection' paradigm and now employ a vast hierarchy of roughly 4,500 collections and collection sets within my catalog of over 500K images. I use collections to organize everything from my workflow during commercial shoots to my marketing campaigns to my stock image database.   As such, I wish I had better tools for manipulating them. One of the most useful would be a 'batch create/edit collections' function, perhaps as follows:   'new collection set with [n] sub-collections' user inputs: collection set name (i.e. parent) n (number of sub-collections) sub-collection naming scheme, offering a mix of tokens and custom text options (i.e. [YYYY][MM][DD], [parent name], [various sequence options], [custom text], etc), similar to batch rename or file naming on export alternatively, a collection & sub-collection creation / naming scheme wherein the user enters (or copies/pastes) lines of text, each of wh
