One problem I have when not using a tripod is that the place where I have used an adjustment brush has moved a little bit in each successive picture. It would be nice to be able to click the pin and simply move that point of adjustment. You can do it with the graduated filter, why not the adjustment brush?

It seems natural to see a splash screen with the version number shown. Please add the version number to the splash screen.

Lightroom: Please add Keyword pane to the right sidebar of the Map Module. Location and keywords are often related. It would be nice to enter keywords and locations without switching modules. And indeed it would be great to use multi selected images by location to add a certain keyword

I would like the Import process to be able to create two copies of my imported original files, with matching filenames/formats and folder structures, on two separate disks. Then in the case of disk failure, I could just rename the backup disk to the name of the primary, or point Lightroom to the backup instead of the primary, and I'd be up and running again in no time. I cannot use the Second Copy function at Import time because the second copy is not organized by date. I have to do this manually. For me, the current Second Copy functionality is not useful in any way. I am requesting new functionality, where the second copy happens after renaming, DNG conversion, and organization into folders, so that the second copy is identical to the main copy in every way except the path to the parent folder. I'm sure many will suggest that you need backup software anyway and so this shouldn't be Lightroom's job, but I disagree -- in my case, these date-organized folders of originals are truly read

Why doesn't pressing Shift+Q in Lightroom toggle between the clone and heal options?

To make Lightroom Mobile useful for Editing, Sequencing & Showcasing work - would like to see features such as - Custom Sort Order (User Order), Ratings and Keywords sync back and forth... Honestly more than the Basic Panel for Develop is not an essential for mobile, which is already available... Releasing more Library Module Tools will really make Lightroom Mobile a great Companion App... I hope these features are on the horizon?

LR's single (1) pixel eyedropper white balance sampling tool provides very little assistance with "automating" white balance adjustments, since even normal camera “noise” causes readings to fluctuate widely. X-Rite's ColorChecker Passport plug-in samples a large area of each color patch in LR, and then uses the "average" of these pixel readings to calculate the 24 color patch values. The area sampled for my 5D MKII 21 Mpixel ColorChecker Passport images are approximately 100 x 400, or 40,000 pixels. This is a totally "automated" process, only requiring human intervention to establish the correct overall white balance with the new ColorChecker Passport camera profile. Unfortunately, LR's "limited" eyedropper tool makes this simple part of the process extremely cumbersome, inaccurate, and "unautomate

I would love the ability to geotag photos within lightroom directly using standard files -> KML or GPX. Please provide also the possibilty to geotag a photo by dropping it on a map or putting a needle on a map

Many people have pointed out that stacks would be more useful if you could have stacks across collections, and I hope Adobe is working to make that happen. But why stop there? I could envision stacks having even more useful features, such as stacks within stacks, the ability to put collections within stacks; stacks that search. I think there is a lot of untapped potential in stacks.

It would be really nice to have this. This is the next step in image geotagging A few geottagging software already have it (ex geosetter) Many of the new camera GPS equiped also have electronic compass to embedd the image direction. On top of that we could also have subject location, so that we can locate what we were photographying. (for example selecting a photo with that metadata will display the photo marker for the position of the camera and a target marker for the position of the subject. regards

It would be great if Lightroom 4 had GPU support for CUDA enabled video cards similar to the Mercury Playback Engine in CS5. That would really speed up performance! Every couple of seconds helps when you are editing 1000s of files. Saving 2 seconds between images comes out to be an hour of saved time when you are editing 2000 images. I have 12 GB of RAM, and 12 core processors at my disposal and sometimes i have 4 seconds between images. Multiprocessor support would be great as well!

Having Lightroom mobile be able to import raw files, not just jpgs, will be crucial to giving LR Mobile some in field potential! It's fine if still creates a jpg preview to work from, so long as it still syncs my raw file to my CC account!

The next step in assigning Keywords to a photo, is to be able to link a keyword to a sepcific region of the photo. This would be useful in may situations. ex: face tagging require that, but it could be used to describe different par of a photo, like peaks in a land scape photo, birds,... Do you plan to implement a face recognition defined by keywords in Lightroom someday ?

It is extremely difficult to correct a wide angle shot taken at an angle to straight geometric shapes, such as trees or buildings. Lens Corrections>Manual>Transform probably has all the tools, but in some photos it would take a computer to know which ones to apply and in what order. The Straighten Tool in the Crop panel is brilliant (and has been around in PS for years). Can we have something similar in Lens Corrections, where the user would draw a few straight lines in the image (essentially telling LR what's a building and what's a tree), and LR would attempt to apply the right Transforms to straighten the photo?

Mini Lightroom iPad APP! I would love to be able to export a database of images (iPad resolution thumbs) and while I'm on a plane edit keywords, change develop settings, and create slideshows, ect. When I return I could sync with my main catalogue. Tethered shooting maybe? I would pay big money for this! cheers, Rick McCawley

Wouldn't it be much more logical and convenient to have Photomerge as a kind of plugin in Lightroom to create panorama's instead of using Photoshop. At best, not the resulting TIFF is stored, but only the parameters to create one. When this panorama acts like it was a DNG itself, you can develop it any way you like and print and export it the best way.

Has anyone mentioned soft proofing yet? If not, please add it! I'm sure you will.

To "Write Metadata to files, we can just press Ctrl-S. Please add a Shortcut for "Read Metadata from Files" as well! Thank you! Background: When editing time lapse with LRTimelapse and Lightroom, the users have to go back and forth reading/writing metadata. A shortcut would speed up the process so much.

Would love to be abel to erase away gradients in Lightroom. For example the gradient is great on straightforward landscapes such as lakes with an even horizon. But if there is a mountain or a tree the gradient effect looks artificial. I need to be able to areas or conceal areas where I do not want the gradient effect would be fabulous!

Sometimes I'm working on a photo and would just like to see it now full-screen. I've tried the slideshow, but it takes about 4 seconds for photo to appear - that's too long. So instead, I do this: - To Present: Shift-Tab, 'T', 'L', 'L', then move the cursor out of the way. - To Un-present: 'L', 'T', Shift-Tab, and move the cursor back. Its more convoluted than I'd like, and I could do without the thin white frame around it surrounded by the thick black frame. A single keystroke to 'present' - full-screen / no borders (my monitors themselves have sufficient borders), and kill the cursor, then another to return to editing would be perfect. PS - If Lightroom had full-screen editing for multi-monitor mode, this would be unnecessary, but in case Lr4 doesn't have that enhancement, this would be a worthy compromise. UPDATE: I just automated the keystroke sequences using auto-hotkey, which helps a lot, but still...

Lightroom should support png and psd files - Adobe's own file type creations - I find this inexcusable. Many of us serious photographers that have lived through all the permutations and advancement of Photoshop with tens of thousands of files only to find that they are not supported by the latest otherwise beautiful Catalog program: Lightshop

I was asked to post this commentary here having first posted it in Help for Slideshow; I think they didn't want to deal with me. But, here goes. The Slideshow module is probably the most important sharing component of your program for those of us choosing not to print and file photos. Yet, and in spite of its few "canned" graphics, it seems to lack many useful edit features; at least ones equal to the quality of pictures that Lr3 can help produce. 1. Though Lr3 allows movie clips to be imported, "slideshow" will not play them as part of a combined show. 2. Although a soundtrack can be added, adjusting play time is by means of a primitive slider. 3. Sountrack only allows one track to be imported. That's probably okay if one knows how to create a track somewhere else (Garage Band, et. al.) and import it for longer shows with subtle shifts in content or, if one is willing to put up with a loop that may not match the show in length. 4. Give us the option to consolidate/merge history steps. All the little adjustments with the crop tool (it's often impossible to reach the final crop in a single operation) could be flattened to a single step, all the little stacked basic adjustment tweaks (+5, -7, +3, yada, yada), all the individual brush strokes, etc. could be flattened to a single adjustment. This would make the history considerably cleaner and simpler - which makes much better use of the limited screen space (scrolling back down through presets and history is a pain).

Here's a proposal for making a small change to LrKeyword that could relieve pressure from users to improve LR's keywording functionality. MOTIVATION LR 3 and LR 4 have garnered a fair amount of user feedback about keywording issues. Some of the recurrent themes include: a user interface that makes it hard to rearrange large hiearchies, the inability to batch edit keyword attributes, changes in the export behavior of ancestor keywords between versions, lack of spelling correction. It's pretty clear that Adobe is limited in the resources its willing to devote to the library functionality of LR. Given that constraint, perhaps a more effective way of addressing users' needs is to make a small enhancement to the SDK, providing plugins with complete and fast access to keywords. Plugin authors could then provide the missing functionality, meeting the more specialized needs of different users (e.g. those with large controlled vocabularies). While plugins rarely work as well
