Lightroom Classic

It would be great if there was a way to search/filter images for those that need their AI edit status updated? I, often, use Adaptive Color, then, of selective images, decide I need AI Denoise.  Sometimes I forget to update the AI.  When dealing with a lot of images, it is difficult to go back and check that all the updates have been done.

Please update Lightroom Classic to include “Head Detection”While I appreciate the ability to select individual aspects of a person face and body to edit, it would save me a tremendous amount of time if Lightroom was able to detect just a persons head and all facial features found within.  Often I do not wish to edit a person’s entire body as their attire does not require adjustments.  It takes too much time selecting all of the facial features in the selection panel.  The other workaround is to select an entire person and then removing the mask for a person’s clothes and body skin afterward.  Which again, takes up time when doing this hundreds of times for a particular gallery or event.  It would increase my productivity tremendously by having a face and/or head option that limits the mask to a person’s head and/or face.Also appreciated if there was an option where I did not have to manually remove the background after creating a mask for a person.  If I do not remove the background fr

Folders with images are color coded for progress through my workflow. These disappear when using Import from another Catalog.

Zoom in on the actual focus point. On the Canon R5 and certainly other models, it is possible to zoom in on the magnified view at the exact point used to focus. With the large images, you don't have to first look for where the sharpness was measured and achieved. I would also like this for Lightroom Classic. When clicking on zoom, jump directly to the point where the sharpness was measured and NOT always to the same point for each image.

Currently, Assisted Culling analyzes all photos on the memory card, which can take a long time. Please add an option in the Assisted Culling window to exclude specific photos or folders from the analysis, so only the selected images are processed. This would significantly reduce analysis time and improve workflow efficiency.

I would like to be able to name custom crops in Lightroom. Saving them as ratios is great but one step further would be the ability to give them a relative name for certain projects or uses.Perhaps also not limit me to 5 custom ratios. Image is not available

I think it would be very helpful to architectural photographers to allow  a grid display during Live View Tethered capture.  Or at least one vertical and horizontal line that can be positioned.  I imagine product photographers would also like this.    I've seriously thoght of moving to Capture One since they support this and it would help speed up my workflow.  I hope Lightroom will implement the feature.

When retouching photos, I’m often using the generative AI remove tool to take out distracting objects that move frame to frame across photos, enough so that the remove brush cannot be synced. Rather than wasting 10-30 seconds on each image while waiting for the removal to process, I would LOVE the ability to individually paint areas for removal across multiple photos and then hit “remove” at the end, so that the generative AI feature can process as one bulk action for 20-30 minutes across all of the photos while I step away from the computer. This would be a huge game changer and a much for efficient workflow.

Many of us have realised how disastrous AI is for the planet, for the species, and for the creative industries, but corporations want to force it on us, and Adobe are no different in that. It’s becoming incredibly difficult to use most Adobe apps now because they are cluttered with AI bloat, and there should be a toggle switch that moves it out of the way so that those of us that want to use ‘actual intelligence’ can move all of the clutter, and just be left with the decent tools of our trades.

In the Print Module we should be able to "Print to TIFF", at 8-bit and 16-bit.   We can already print to JPEG but many would prefer to print to TIFF.    

Please add an option to turn off the obnoxious grey transparency grid when viewing files in Develop mode. You know, like Photoshop.

When will we have European (or custom) paper sizes in the BOOK Module?  I am fully aware that Blurb only supports US paper sizes but there are many non-US printing services which will print a book from jpg or pdf files.  You should be able to support sizes other than those used by Blurb. The recent improvements in LR 7.5 were great but I think will only be usable by American users.  Come on Adobe you have MANY users who do not use US paper sizes!!!!!

Please add support for CMYK ICC profiles (FOGRA39, PSO Coated v3/FOGRA51, etc.) in Lightroom Classic Soft Proofing.As a magazine publisher, our entire image workflow is already based on Adobe RGB. We do not need CMYK export from Lightroom, nor any advanced prepress functionality. We simply need the ability to preview standard print conditions, just as Photoshop does with Proof Colors.When working with large image sets, Lightroom is the ideal environment because we can review, compare, and adjust many images at once. However, when dealing with highly saturated greens and blues, we need to check for potential clipping and out-of-gamut colors for print. It would be great to see some AI features that some Adobe competitors have started to adopt. I would love to see and AI Sharpening tool similar to the AI Denoise. Also, given that Lightroom Classic is such a great organizational tool, I would also love to see an AI Culling feature where the program could analyze and sort by features such as pictures being in focus, with the best exposure, and whether a subject's eyes are closed. Competitors such as "Aftershoot" are beginning to incorporate such features into their products. I'd rather be able to get it all in one place.

Add the ability search for duplicates in a field like the Title. This will help find duplicate titles given to different photos. Even sorting on the Title in the grid is currently missing. The title is extensively used and very important field.

For Photojournalists like me it would be very great  to place a text in the Caption of the recognized faces of people in the right order (e.g. from left to right John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr) Additionally it would be great to save useful informations about the people (e.g. Function, Band, Instrument, Party, etc) e.g. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU). 

When in freeform cropping with the lock unlocked I would like to see a visual representation inside the cropping overlay with the pixel widthxheight and/or the aspect ratio (1:1 , 4:3, 16:9 etc). If these is the ability to snap to default aspect ratios when you get very close to them it would be even better. This is needed when hunting for a specific composition and using familiar crops when presented as opposed to choosing a crop before knowing it will work for the photo.

As discussed in the other thread, LrC 14.4 will store AI denoise/super resolution data in .lrcat-data. This storage seems to be permanent: once AI denoise is enabled for a photo the blob will be stored indefinitely.   The proposal is to limit the amount of AI blobs stored in .lrcat-data by some threshold size and automatically clean up old blobs. If a user opens a photo with a deleted blob again, it needs to be recomputed by running AI denoise again. So this basically trades storage space for additional processing.   I know that this means that opening a photo with a missing blob the first time will result in a significant delay. Users might still want this behavior. Standard size preview generation could use the non-AI-enhanced version of the photo since AI enhancements (except adaptive color profile) are probably not visible on small previews anyway.   This would make AI blobs work the same way was preview storage works.

For bird photographers, an application that allows editing birds independently of their surroundings (vegetation, sky, water, etc.) would be very appealing. However, birds are not always detected as the main subject, and when they are, the mask often includes vegetation or other elements.It would be fantastic to be able to edit detected birds using the "select birds" function, similar to how "select people" is currently done.

Please add the option to arrange panels on a second monitor, so we can access them immediately without constantly scrolling and expanding/collapsing sections.Please allow users to customize keyboard shortcuts and assign shortcuts to commands that currently have none. For example, Select Objects is one of the tools I use most frequently, yet it has no dedicated shortcut, even though there are still unused keys available (such as K–M range combinations) that could be assigned to commonly used functions.Also, please consider adding an option to use the Camera Raw-style interface in Lightroom.

Keywords do not sync correctly: When added on the mobile app (iOS), they do not appear in LR classic and not in LR Web (I deleted the new LR CC immediately, this version does not make sense to me). Same problem into the other direction: Keywords from LR classic do not appear on the mobile app. Attention: At this stage the whole keywording within the iOS app should not be used!

There are already features that create new images in LR, so why not add collage, and perhaps compositing. There are a whole bunch of ways in which such a UI could work, but ... here's something fairly easy to visualize in the case of collage. User has a panel from which to select collage layouts.
