Dear All, I am new to this forum so please accept my apologies if i am repeating this question and guide me to right path,I am evaluating a cloud based product that require flash media server, to evaluate i have hired a VPS from OVH that doesn't have sound card enabled.The product will be installed on the VPS where Flash media server 3.5 SP1 will also be installed as a pre requisite.Will i still be able to create dictation and run them successfully from client machine even thought the server doesn't have sound card installed ?Please advice ..

I've searched the whole Adobe Help & Support websites and it appeared that all PDFs versions were gone, only online HTML pages remained.

We are using the fmscheck util on our origin servers to test a record and playback so we can create a status file for the load balancers. However (whilst not causing problems) I see in the core.00.log the line "(i)2611173 Metadata not available before the flush of first segment. Default metadata recorded for stream ..." every time the check starts. Is there a reason for this / can I stop it from happening as its filling up the logs.Thanks, in advance.

I have a server running adobe media server.I stream my live feed using HLS Live. The server got live stream source from flash media live encoder running in windows.When the PC running FMLE stop streaming, because some network issue, the AMS play with the last live feed it receive from FMLE.My question is, is there a configuration for AMS to detect if the source it receive stopped,it play some VOD content for show the information about content offline.ThanksHendrik

I successfully used the DiffServ settings in Server.xml (AMS 5.0.5) to set the differentiated service bits for a unicast RTMP stream and verified it using Wireshark.However it seems that this setting has no effect on multicast streams. I didn't find any information clarifying this.Can the DiffServ settings be used for multicast streams as well? If not, what other ways I can set the Differentiated Services bits for a multicast stream?

Hello guys, how can i detect in admin console for device that connect to the media server such as ANDROID or IOS currently the admin console only capture rtmp protocol. but when i stream the media using android or ios (using m3u8 file) the admin console did not detect any connection and not even log it. how can i enable settings to capture HDS streaming on admin console? thanks

Hi , Recently i met core is no longer active issue on ams 5.0, below is my log for ams.I check the discussion, it seems that it was cause by memory increase, and ams seems like have problem to manage it.my configuration are all default except log config. Hi, I need some clarification about what's happening behind the scenes with the XmlSocket on AMS. The documentation is inconsistent with the behavior I'm seeing. Specifically the documentation states: XmlSocket.onData(src) Invoked when a message has been downloaded from the server, terminated by a zero (0) byte. You can override  XMLSocket.onData() to intercept the data sent by the server without parsing it as XML. This is useful if you’re transmitting arbitrarily formatted data packets and you would prefer to manipulate the data directly when it arrives, rather than have Flash Media Interactive Server parse the data as XML. If I send a string across the connection like "Hello there!", my onData handler never gets called. I did make sure the stream was terminated with a zero byte. I am running 64 bit server 2012 R2I have tried both 4.5 and 5 installers and both have the same problem, I open the installer and then click I accept then I get an error message that saysSetup has detected an invalid registry entry and is unable to proceed.This can be corrected by uninstalling the current version. Hi - I'm looking to start a service which provides people with the chance to set up a radio station on the internet. I know that this may require FMS and would like to know how I can do this? I'm looking to provide the service on a premium finance format. The idea is: the user fills out a form, that is sent to me via email. I then activate their radio stream from my server and inform them of the stream details. I'm looking to have multiple streams with this as it's a big project idea which I've pondered for a while. Hello, do LoadVars, XML.load(), or WebService support HTTPS-based endpoints, Yes or No?BACKGROUND============I've been trying to get a LoadVars to actually make a call to an HTTPS endpoint. There is nothing in the documentation that says it can't. I know that there's also XML.load() and WebService class, but from the looks of it they don't do HTTPS.During my tests I have absolutely no issues with making calls to the same service over HTTP. When I change it to HTTPS I don't see HTTPStatus or even failures. Also, netstat on my server will show a connection being established with the endpoint when using HTTP but not when using HTTPS. Hi,I just compiled the code available here : "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Server 5\samples\plugins\auth" to create my first authentication module with some extra log line to verify it work.I have copied my dll named AuthModule.dll into that folder : "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Server 5\modules\auth".And I can test it on my developpement environment (Windows 10) equiped with Adobe Media Server 5.0.6 r6102. I can read my logs into the log file "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Server 5\logs\authMessage.00.log". Everything work perfectly.After that, i try to install the same dll on my test environment, it's a simple Windows 2008 R2 with only Adobe Media Server 5.0.6 r6102. Hi all,I'm beginner with Flash media server 4.5 and i just don't know how to solve my issue. I'm streaming from several different locations to my server and everything works except from one place. On every location i have installed Flash media Live encoder 3.2. One of my streams started to stream same old content over and over again which is one minute long. Inside livepkgr/streams/_definst_ i have seven folders that correspond to my seven different streams. Inside of problematic one i saw that f4f and f4x files are not getting renewed so i deleted all contents of this folder and now it remains empty all the time. Can someone help me with this?Thank you
