Photoshop Elements

In Quick Edit mode, the View always comes up showing "After Only".  I want to change the default to be "Before & After - Horizontal".  I'm tired of having to do this every time I close and reopen Photoshop Elements 2022.  How do I do this?  Thank you.

Hallo! Ich mußte meinen PC neu aufsetzen und möchte jetzt mein PH Elements 2020 wieder installieren. Leider erscheint immer die Meldung das ich mein Betriebssystem aktualisieren soll, da das jetzige nicht unterstützt wird. ich habe die aktuellste Version von Win11 mit dem aktuellen Edge Browser. Kann mir jemand helfen?

I'm using Photoshop Elements for Mac, version 2021.19.  It's running on an Intel MacBook Pro on OS-X Monterray 12.4.  I'm doing some line drawings and am coloring in some sections.  But sometimes a color somehow becomes "dominant," and I can't brush over it with another color. I'm using TIF files at 600dpi.  I've tried saving the graphic under another name, but the problem persists. Any ideas? Thanks - Glenn

Hallo in die Runde, ich bin verstört über eine Änderung in Photoshop Elements 2020, es geht um "Bearbeiten --> Farben --> Farbe/Sättigung"  Früher hatte ich hier einzelne Farbfelder, die ich verstärken oder reduzieren konnte und deren Auswirkung ich in der Vorschau sofort neben dem alten Bild sehen konnte. Mit dieser Funktion habe ich in den letzten 12 oder 13 Jahren Tausende von Bildern abgestimmt. Das neue Tool, welches seit irgendeinem sch... Update in meinem Programm erscheint, ist absolut kein Vergleich gegenüber der vorherigen Version. Ich brauche dringen die alte Version wieder, habe die leider nur noch auf einem uralten Rechner, den ich "eigentlich" nicht mehr nutzen möchte... Welche ältere Version von Photoshop muss ich in ebay "jagen", um diese alte Version von "Farbe/Sättigung" wieder zu bekommen?  Danke für jede Hilfe, Gruß Anne 

"Could not complete this operation. An unknown error has occurred." I have tried command-option-shift restart, and a restart of the mac. This will not save for web anymore! This is Adobe Photoshop Elements 17.0 purchased from Apple Store. How do you get real support here?

I want to edit the metadata to my image file (.HEIC or .jpeg) to add a caption or description.  In Organizer, I add the text to the Caption field in General Information.  Then use File->Save Metadata to files.  A .xmp version of the image file is created.  In Elements Editor, I click File Info on the image then add text to the Description field.  When I save the changes a .psd version of the image file is created. How can I save the metadata to the original image file?

Hi allWhen I try to add text to a picture in my photoshop elements, then it only writes with capital letters.I guess I might have pushed some botton somewhere, but I can't find it.Anyone knows how to solve this?And before you think my caps is locked.. then no 😉greetings from SwedenChristina

I have just spent an hour on with Tech support who cannot tell me how to get my edited photos out of Elements.  He keeps giving me links to Lightroom.  Anyway, I edited and starred photos in the editor expecting to be able to sort by star and export as a batch.  But the stars do not carry over to the Organizer screen from the Editing screen.  I just need to filter the starred photos.  Please someone tell me how to do this without individually saving each picture because that would be ludicrous. 

I am wirking with Photoshop Elements 2020 on my MacBook. When I select a tool from the tool panel, the options bar that would allow me to choose my font, color, size, etc. doesn't pop up along the bottom. The same is true if I select a different tool such as the crop tool or shape tool. How do I get the option bar to show? 

I have an iMac OS Big Sur 11.6.1 and PSE 2022. I'm confused about loading .pat .ttf  .asl .atn and .abr files.  I think if I load them, they will not be in PSE the next time I open PSE.  So I think I have to install the files. Hi I had to install some other ADOBE Tax Security SW in April, then could not get anything Adobe to work. Started turning off products, and one must have been something to do with the 12 Photo downloader, as now all I get is 'Commmuications Error' message when trying to download pix and Im stuck. I found the original ADODE PSE 12 software package, and thought I'd be okay doing reinstall. I backed up the Pix Catalog and thought all I needed to do was to RE-install using the original SW then enter the product key and all would be good.... but it was no good. Would not do anything..?  no place to enter a product key... Whats the deal, or is this just 'Forced Migration' to a newer version of the PSE SW?  [Personal information removed by Moderator]   Can anybody help me with what I have, or am I just screwed? Only tutorials open, not Organizer or Editor.Mac Catalina 10.15.3

I seem to recall this problem many moons ago but its back with a vengeance. I recently switched to Win 11 Home and one of the things I had to do was re install PSE. My images in Pictures are all  the blue PSE Logo. I had this problen a short while back and it was found that my NikonP1000 when photographing in RAW caused this. BUT, today, all my jpg and png images in OPictures are logo; they weern't last night when I went to bed! The question is fairly obvious - WTH is going on????   Clock is ticking on whether or not to through said rig out of window!!!

My photos get automatically updated to OneDrive.  When I upgraded to the newest Window's version of PhotoShop, all my meta data disappeared.  I spend months and many hours tagging my photos, now none of those tags are attached.  Any idea on how to reattach the meta data?

I have read about the compatability issues of Elements 20 and Monterey. However, it opened & worked yesterday. There were no computer updates since then. Today I just keep getting the Adobe sign in screens over & over, even though it accepts my info as correct.  Is this a sign in issue?When I sign into my Adobe account, it does not show any active devices (the old or new Mac) & I do not get the "Manage Plans" option, although it shows the current version version of elements under "Your Product."Of course, Elements still works on old Mac, but I don't understand why it worked yesterday & not today.

Each time I try to save a file I get this message - "Could not save as *E:\...\02Apr 2010 011.JPG* because the file is already in use or was left open by another application" Haydn Pegler

I'm wondering if  the Auto Align layers option is available in any version of Photoshop Elements.

 I would like to have my Photoshop Elements 14 icon on my desktop again - it opened directly to the program. I don't know why it disappeared. I have a Desktop shortcut but it doesn't open to the Elements screen.

Hi, I have an older version of PS Elements that was working fine on my old mac. Now that I have a new mac, the old version just does not work. Is there a way to get the Elements software update without the subscription?Thanks

Recently started to do 5x7 photos and the printer (HP Envy 5055), started leaving a 1" or 2" blank space at the bottom of the photo. After many tries it continued so then I printed the 5x7 on 8.5x11 paper and it printed fine. I ran into this several years ago but this one just started doing it last week. I tried printing in another program and it did the same thing. Any solutions? Thank you.

Selecting photos on the organiser and now I want to drag them to another application - Google photos. Try to drag them but get a red circle with a diagonal line thtough it. What is going on?

D'abord je tiens à dire que je suis scandalisé par le fait que l'entreprise ADOBE laisse les clients se débrouiller entre eux au lieu de prendre ses responsabilités et répondre dirctement à ses clients; sur ce, suite à un changement d'ordinateur, je souhaite installer Photoshop sur mon nouvel ordi, mais qd je clkique sur le lien de téléchargement de mon compte, il est indiqué: "il faut télécharger la version de windows la plus récente"; or, je suis à jour de toutes mes mises à jour windows; merci de votre aide
