Photoshop Elements

How do I turn off constrain proportions in Photoshop Elements? The box is grayed out.

I have been using Photoshop Elements 2021 for a while with my HP Envy 7800 printer/scanner/copier/fax. With that scanner, I can select anything up to 1200dpi resolution. I am now replacing my HP with an Epson ET-4850 printer/scanner/copier/fax. When I try to scan using that scanner, I can only choose between 100dpi and 300dpi. The Epson software will let me go to 1200dpi, but Photoshop Elements is limited to 300dpi. Unfortunately, the Epson software will not allow me to scan multiple photos at one time and separate them into separate files. Any assistance in getting to at least 600dpi is welcome.

I am finally learning how to use this software.When starting it, I got a message saying "Ther serial number is already in use by the maximum allowed computers. YOu need to deactivate another computer to use this device." Well, I only use this on one device. I logged into Adobe and checked active devices. It shows "You have no activated devices."  So, I am stuck on that. Still, it allowed me to use photoshop anyway.I was excited with the picture after editing. I went to save it and got a message saying it could not save the file. The message was incomplete too. It says "Could not save a copy as "C:\Users...\IMG-6940-sj.jpg" because the file" (Yes, it ends without saying what the issue is with the file.)Extremely frustrating. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how to resolve it?I'd hate to hink I wasted my money buying this stuff. Thanks.Sher

I have Photoshop Elements 8 installed on a very old PC which I'm hoping to install on a new PC as the old one is being decommissioned. When I go to deactive the softare it complains it cannot to the internet. I've traced it down to the fact that it is using Internet Explorer rather than my default browser of Google Chrome. This is a Windows 7 PC (hence it being decommissioned) so no Edge and I guess also to do with  the fact this version of Photoshop Elements is very old. I haven't got the option of viewing the license and deactivating from my Adobe account either as it pre-dates the days of online account mnagement. Any suggestions? I'm also hoping this old version of Photoshop Elements will be compatible with Windows 10.

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 in 2018. in 2021 my computer has broken down. I have file and serial, and I have installed it on new computer, but I cannot enter the serial number because it says that there is no internet connection. And the connection is very good. I have the same problem as most of people here have.  When I updated my mac to Monterey, my PSE 2019 does not work anymore!! It was working before I updated, so I know it was still ok up to that point.  I shouldn't be buying another software just because you cannot fix your bug.  I already paid for this one.  So please provide the support you promised.  Fix this bug. 

I am trying to install elements 14 onto my new laptop. I had it on my old, now broken, laptop and a PC. There is no way for me to uninstall from my broken laptop. my account is also showing me that I have no registered devices. How can I uninstall the program so I can add it to my new laptop?

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN ADOBE TODAY!!!!I own 2021 version of PS Elements  (and many older versions too)When I downloaded Monterey on my iMac... I could only open Elements once without rebooting.I read some forum fixes and tried them.... none of them worked.I couldn't even find a way to get in touch with Adobe for help.... but someone wrote me on this forum with an email address for help from Adobe.    Here's what I got for my trouble!First they wrote and said:   "PSE 2021 will not work with Mac OS Monterey So we provide you the PSE 2022 license in order to use with Latest OS"I thought, GREAT now I can use the program!!!  BUT then when I asked how do I get the lic? they wrote:  PSE 2022 will cost you but you will be getting the discount because you already have our older version of the software. WHAT??  I am forced to upgrade to 2022 just so I can use my 2021 program?  Where is the support here???  come on Adobe the prog

Elements 2022 freezes if the slider is used in 'Adjust Smart Fix' in Montery 12.2.1 on Mac Mini M1. Is this a known flaw?  Is ther a fix for it? 

My photos asre being displayed in  are "Date Modified" order rather than  "Date Created" order.  Therefore the pictures are not in chronological order.  Is there a way to have PSE disdplay them xhronilogically using "Date Created" from Explorer?

The fact that the metadata of a file cannot be seen in Photoshop Elements 2019 editor - "Der Befehl "Dateiinformationen" konnte nicht ausgeführt werden, weil die Metadatenbibliothek nicht geladen werden konnte" ("metadata library could not be loaded") -  has already been described by others around more that 2 years ago - without any solution - of course also no solution from Adobe! I wonder where is the support of Adobe that is written in big letters on its internet site. In any way, I could not find any direct contact possibility on the internet site of Adobe. Even, there is a button "contact" that leads to another of many annoying loops of FAQs etc. but no direct contact. If someone knows a direct contact adress, please tell me.Besides this complaint, that hopefully is seen by someone of Adobe, can anybody solve the problem?

sometimes when I open a file that has been created for me, I get the grey/white checkered screen.   I know this has something to do with the layers, but how do I fix this so I can see the image?

Quand j'ouvre l'adobe elements 2021 sur la partie editeur photo s'affiche ce message ( Chargement de l'espace de travail Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor ) puis le message s'efface et rien ne se passe, par contre l'editeur vidéo marche. J'ai réinstaller le logiciel pas mal de fois sans succès. S'il vous plait votre aide c'est très urgent.

Advanced search to find pictures whitin a timeframe. (hours)This should returns the selected hours, all images, all years and all dates.I want to tag all pictures within this timeframe(for example between 1800 and 2300 = which is in the evening) Is it possible?I would be very happy for any help....

HiI have moved to a new MacBook Pro and purchased/installed Elements 2022 as recommended by Adobe. I'm trying to Back Up and Restore from my old Mac which runs Elements 2018.Following the page https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html carefully I sucesfully backed up onto a hard drive from the old Mac. The file backup.tly is in the back up folder. Following the Restore process I get an error message "The disk in drice xxx does not contain a valid backup". I have tried this using different hard drive back ups and each has the same error message.Any suggestions?Thanks!

I used to have adobe photoshop and now want to buy Photoshop Elements. I am not a heavy user, but only need to work with a few steps in photoshop, but with very many images. What I did in Photoshop:I create a new image in a certain dimension. I open another image, resize it and pick a layer from it and trough copy layer I paste it in the new image.  I want to save that new image for web to reduce the heavy files. Can I do such thing with Elements or has Elements other method to publish a reduced size image for webpages?
