Photoshop Elements

To readers of this Elements forum: Many of you were used to resort to the now closed "feedback" forum, which had a subdivision for Elements. That forum has been recently closed, so bugs and features requests should be posted here now. In other forums like LR and PS ecosystems, those themes are clearly stated together with the four ones available in the Elements menu. The advantage in other more 'advanced' forums is that you can vote for an idea or a bug. In this forum, even the 'topics' don't show bugs/feature requests if you don't click the + sign in the list of topics. Anyway, it would add strength to your post if you selected the topics and stated either 'bug' or 'feature request' in the title of your post.

I can't find specific help with my problem as most information relates to editing for the web  etc. My photos have been taken on my camera and are all 3:2 aspect ratio. Viewing on TV leaves black empty space each side. What I have tried to do in photoshop elements 14 is to use Crop to 16in x 9in. This still leaves black on each side of the images on the TV although not as much.Do I also need to go to Resize and alter pixels? And what resolution should I choose? Should resampling be unchecked? I did find on TV I could set the picture app to full screen but I still had black either side.Can someone help?

I'm trying to create a hyperlink for an image I created in Photoshop Elements.I've found NO turtorials online or in Google search.  Vid I saw said look for the"Slice Tool" under the "Crop Tool" but its not in Elements 18.  Is there a way?

I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer 2021.No map view is loaded in the Organizer and no location tags are displayed.I am of the opinion that this was not always the case.Can anyone help here?

J'avais acheté photoshop elements 7.0 et il fonctionnait très bien, puis plantage disque dur, j'ai réinstallé tous mes logiciels mais impossible de reinstaller PSE car impossible de retrouver le mail avec la licence (très ancien). Impossible de contacter adobe pour ré-obtenir mon numéro de licence le site semble construit pour décourager les plus vaillants.En désespoir de cause j'ai téléchargé la version gratuite de PSE 2021 sur le store de microsoft histoire de l'évaluer avant l'achat. Elle met des heures à s'ouvrir et bug sans arrêt, donc pas question de l'acheter, alors qui peux me dire comment contacter Adobe pour récupérer ma licence 7.0.Merci d'avance.PS: mon ordinateur est neuf et il est puissant donc les lenteurs de PSE 2021 ne viennent pas du PC.

I'm using PSE 2021 and not able to open Myriad Arabic font file.Missing font?

I had downloaded and installed Elements+ back in April. Everything worked fine on PSE 2021 until recently. Elements+ disappeared from the panel it was installed into. I know I can access it through Automation Tools, but I like seeing the graphics to click on in the panel (I don't remember which panel it was located in). So I reinstalled Elements+. Ever since then the Effects and Styles panels are blank. I tried uninstalling Elements+ but it didn't work. 

Hi.  I know that PE does not have curves or curves adjustment layers.  However, there are curves plug-ins that can be downloaded that work pretty well. I am trying to figure out though if there is a way to fake a curves adjustment layer using one of those plug ins.  I want to avoid having to make a new layer that is a merge of the other layers and then applying curves to the resulting new one, because it not only does not act like a curves adjustment layer, but it also makes the file bigger and more difficult to apply tweaks later on.  If anyone knows a way to fake a curves adjustment layer, can you please post it here?Also, I hope that a future release of PE includes real curves and an adjustment layer for curves.  I have PE7, but am not planning to upgrade to 8 because they have not included this.Thanks.

Hi,  I have been using Photoshop elements 14.1 until earlier this year. It suddenly stopped working after I updated my OS. It freezes everytime i try and open a New file and cant edit old ones either. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Also, nearly got spammed by **scam email address**@outlook.com . Is that even a real support address? Which is the latest adobe I can buy and will the old one stop giving me trouble once I update to the new one? Thanks

I am getting the following error while trying to rotate a photo multiple times.  It works just fine the first time I rotate the photo (using Organizer), but get the error on the subsequent times I try to rotate. all tools in elements 10 become to slow to use.

I have had this problem for some time, but finally think I should ask if anyone else is before I consult Adobe Support or Apple Support. While editing photos, if I want to zoom in on the image to edit, the image will independently of me, zoom to the absolute smallest. If I am selecting a tool, or take my hand off the mouse, then return my hand to the mouse, BAM! I'm looking at either a microsopic image or I have zoomed in to the maximum view.  This did not happen before PSE 21 or the new computer. 

I have cleaned up all my images on Photoshop Elements Organizer (PSE 2021) and have also done the person detection (desktop PC Windows 10). Is there an official IOS App (iPhone) from Adobe with which I can access my images via the iPhone?All my pictures are stored on a NAS

I own PSE 6. I don't have any version of Premiere Element. Do I need to pay full price or can I purchase upgrade?

There are many questions about the eyedropper not picking up the right color, but usually the response is to (1) select the layer choice (all or current) and (2) have a point sample. These have no effect on my issue: all colors picked are way off from the actual color.   As an example, when I use the eyedropper and hover over a white space on my computer screen, the color given is some random color depending upon where the eyedropper is located. I have included a screen shot showing PSE with an image, color picker, and the eyeropper positioned over the white background of this page where I am entering this post. Yet the color is given as 3c3f29.     The eyedropper has been acting this way ever since I updated to PSE 2020.

Cannot install PSE2018, Installation Failed. error summary not available "page cannot be reached"

When I right click on folders in Photoshop Elements (19) Organizer, I can open them in Windows Explorer. But when I try to find them directly in Windows Explorer, I cannot find the same folders! I am baffled. Any ideas?

hello, can you change the order in the drop down - menu file extensions when you want to save a photo?I would like the JPEG option on top if possible.     

I have had this issue with prevoius versions of PSE Organizer and was hoping it was resolved in PSE2022, but apparentely not. As part of my workflow, I review all of the pictures I have just taken sequentially and either delete them or tag them with keyword tags. When fully zoomed into a single picture, if I delete an image, Organizer doesn't go to the next image in sequence but instead jumps to the end of the catalog which is frustrating. This doesn't occur when deleting images from grid view.  Are others seeing the same behaviour, or is there a way to resolve this? Thanks...Steve

The facility to precisely position the print of an image on a page is important for me. It has been a regular feature of PSE. In the Print dialogue one unchecks 'centre image' and then inserts the required position measurements from the edge of the paper for both top and left margins. I have just upgraded from PSE12 to PSE2019 and I cannot get it to work. The image appears in the centre of the page preview with a thin blue outline which Adobe call a 'photo holder'. When I try to position the image as described, the blue outline remains stuck in the centre but the image disappears out of view under the white margins. Reminds me of a Harry Potter portrait hiding behind its frame. I thought maybe it would print out anyway but it doesn't - all I get is plain white. Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix?

Since it is impossible to import Photos from my iphone I wanted to update my registered version of PSE 2019, but under Help>Update the Update button is no longer active, so updates are no longer possible!?! How can I fix this to get the latest updates for my PSE product.

I'm running PSE 2019 on Windows 10 Pro.A few minutes after I start my PC, and at random times, I get this pop-up:CAHeadless Debug EventCAHeadless has encountered an error.[E:\Adobe\pre\main\ContentAnalysis\ContentAnalysisData\src\DataManager.cpIt's refers to a file on drive E: yet my PC has no current volume mapped to drive letter E:Adobe chat support helped me re-install PSE 2019 twice with 2 different agents, and the error eventually comes back, but finally tells me my product is now unsupported, to come to community for possible answers.
