Photoshop Elements

I purchased a download card for Photoshop Elements 2018. Due to problems with my PC I had to purchase a new one. I still have the origional download card, the serial number and access to the old PC (when it will work).  I need to move Photoshop from my old PC to my new one.  I have gone round in circles on the web site but it does not apper that I can get any help as it was not purchased direct from Adobe.Is it possible to download this on to my new PC and if so can any of you kind people tell me how?

I enter photos in contests around the world.  Often, they require a file name that identifies me as well as the photo.  I bring up the file that I want to send, go to Edit, resize the photo to meet their specifications and then go to the Save As command.  I put in a new file name and then log off.  Later I call up the new file name and the computer says that it never heard of that file.  Another problem is that this is erratic.  Recently, I resized 5 photos, then I went to send my photos off.  The first two  were no problem and then started getting the File Does Not Exist message.  I am able to manually go through my photos and find the photo I want and my file name is the one that I recently created.  It is impossible to send my photo off with the new file name on it.  For a couple of yeaus I used PE7 with no difficulty.  Then two years ago I decided to upgrade to PE19.  That's when the problem started.  I thought t

I downloaded the Test version via AppStore, it worked fine, like it did on Windows Computers, now I bought it via AppStore for 109 Euros, saving for Web is not working, unknown Failiure. I regret that I bought a Mac, for that money I could have get three Windows PCs with the same Performance and running Programs.

Had to reinstall Windows 10 after a computer crash, and now my PhotoShop Elements will not open. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem will be much appreciated. 

Running Windows 10. all of a sudden Photoshop Elements 2020 will not print. It immediately shuts down.  It has been working fine until now.  I tried to recreate a new preferences file by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift immediately after starting PS. but that did not work.Should I uninstall PS and reinstall or what?thanks

I have recently upgraded to Elements 2021 on a Windows 2021 PC.Constantly when I examine Task Manager I find that Adobe Elements 2021 Organiser is showing ‘Not Responding’. I think that this means that Organiser has stalled.Can anyone explain the cause of this problem?The problem seriously degrades this new software edition.

Just downloaded Elements 2021.  Went to Organizer and clicked on Import and Files.  Window came up showing my photo files that are on my hard drive but at the same time locked up my computere.  Have restarted 3 times and retried but locks up everytime.  Have been on hold with techenical assistance for about 2 hours.  Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

I just downloaded and installed Photoshop Elements 2021 on my computer.  It cannot load previously created slideshows!  Well, actually it can, but it took SIX MINUTES to open a slideshow with 5 files, and longer for larger slideshows.  To load this same slideshow in Photoshop 2018 took mere seconds.  I downloaded PSE 2021 to two other computers, and restored my catalog and files in the 2021 version.  These also took an interminable amount of time, whereas they previously opened slideshows in PSE 2018 in seconds.  Is there a solution to this, or do I have to get a refund on 2021 and reinstall 2018?

Hello! Nice to meet you all! Okay, I am a novice so here is my issue: I just purchased the hard copy bundle of Adobe PSE 2021 and Premiere Elements 2021. After over 1 ½ hours installing from DVD-ROM only the PSE 2021, I am still using the 30-day trial before activation just to assure no issues first before activation. Once I opened the first app component of PSE 2021 -- “Organizer”, I was given within minutes an update for PSE 2021. I accepted and, in the background, the update downloaded and installed through the app itself. I made note of the version and build of the original DVD-ROM copy (before the update). After updating and shown to be successful with a confirmation message. The issue is after I checked back under “Help” -> “About” to only find the SAME version and build, therefore no I would conclude that no update was performed. I then completely closed PSE 2021 application and re-opened PSE 2021 and again, no updated version or build. I then went a step further an

yikes, hours spent trying to do this, it used to be so simple on my other macs.  please helpAlso, my computer says Photoshop 2019 in applications, but the heading on my computer says 2021. I bought it in 2020 September ish

I have Photoshop Elements 2021 running on Windows 10 Professional.I installed PSE2021 in December and I've run it several times with no problem.Now however, it fails to launch. I click on the icon and I see the hourglass for about 5 seconds and then nothing - no spash screen.I've also gone to the file location of the icon and clicked on the .exe directly, but no difference.I opened Task Manager and see that it is active and taking approx. 14% CPU, but I never see the application open.Should I uninstall PSE2021 and reinstall? I see that some others have tried this to no avail.Cheers

I just got PSE 2021, but I really want to start doing HDR. Apparently there is a plug-in for PSE - but I only see references to Macs. Does anyone know if it works/is supported on Windows? I have tried Aurora and their support line is not too supportive.

I need to restore the PE app and my last catalog backup due to a crashed drive. From what I understand, to do so will require that I login to my account to download the software and retrieve the software key for the last version of PE registered there. However, the account was created using an email address that is now defunct (cancelled email provider some time ago) so I cannot retrieve the password.  I created a new account to post here for help and need to know what is required to transfer over the details from the old account? Regards

I have Elements 15  I cannot save edits.  When I try, the program simply goes back to the original picture,  I have received a window stating that "the requested change could not be completed because the current catalog is corrupt.  You can attempt a repair in the File- >Catalog...Dialog".  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program...and the corrupted organizer contents are still there!  I should =d have been deleting folders from the organizer once done working on them but did not, and now the program will not let me delete the folders.  What do I do to fix this?

I am just learning Elements 13, but have my photo just as I want it, except that the background is black.  It was blue, but I somehow made it black without trying,  I have read and watched tutorials, but can't get color in the background.  I have tried so many things, to no avail. Short of starting over from the beginning, what can I do?  I must have messed up the layers.  I would really appreciate any help.

I have backed up my PE catalog but there are the same plus more of the same photos in the Adobe/Elements folder. There are also a lot of duplicates in this folder. Can I safely delete the entire folder and be able to backup or restore My Catalog? Pat

I am having another problem with Photoshop Elements 2021. I clicked on the move/copy option. No matter if I selected Move or copy, and then clicked NEXT, there was nothing in the white box. No destinations to anything, just a blank white box. How am I supposed to move or copy anything with a blank box? I am using windows 10 with firefox.

I am new to real estate photography and I'm wondering if it's possible to use elements to create a layer with a layer mask to lighten up over exposed windows. It appears most photographers use Lightroom/Photoshop to do this. Does anyone know of this is possible with Elements?

Hello,The import function sorts the elements by file creation date as opposed element capture date. In case the elements have been copied from a disk to another, they all have the same file creation date. So when importing, the result is that all elements have the same date in the catalog.I want to import and sort by element capture date (date and time when the picture was actually taken). This information is embedded in the picture. Windows Photo can sort by picture capture date.Can Organizer 2021 do that ?For the moment I have a catalog with all picture dates set to january 7, 2021. I can't use it.I have not found an aswer in the posts on the same subject. Many thanks for your help.

I'm using PE 2018.  I restored My Catalog from the backup.  I have about 25,500 pictures on my PC all catagorized by year. I also had tagged all photos in PE by year. When I restored it made two batches,  one from 1899 to 2002 with 5,678 photos, all properly tagged.  The rest don't appear until I click on the next year, 2003 to 2020 and they show up in a separate batch, for a total of about 19,968 making a grand total of all pictures in PE of 25,666.  All photos in these two batches are tagged, just the way I made them.  When I try to delete, import or edit any photos, I get an error message. I tried a repair which didn't help. The Adobe directory shows 35,163 items. I don't know what to do now. Should I delete all pictures in Organizer and Adobe and try to restore again? Pat

Hi, I activated photoshop elements 15 on my laptop but I cannot activate it on my desktop. says 'used by max amount of computers'. I m afraid to pull the software from my laptop, fearing it wont activate on the desktop. Impossible to register the software on my account eventho I own the CDs with real serial # (secondhand)How to register this software in order t o activate it on my 2 computers? Thank youVince

My old Macbook died and I am unable to download the this program onto my new Macbook.   I have the original disc but it will not let me install it.  All I get is "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information."  Is there anything I can do?
