I am using Premiere 15. In the project settings I choose Full HD 1080i 30 5.1 Channel and then import a video clip with a 5.1 channel audio track. Voices are virtually impossible to hear even though all other sounds and music appear to be fine (it is possible that the center channel is malfunctioning as voices most are weighted to the center channel). I know for sure that the track is 5.1 because it says so when I right click and look under the details of the file's properties, and as added confirmation I used the MediaInfo app. The clip's audio is also fine when played outside of Premiere. When I render the work to a file, the description of what I should be getting says it will be 5.1, but the rendered file has the same issue.Further, the original video clip is 1080 X 824, so I have set the settings so that the output matches the original, but when I play the video Premiere created it is letterboxed, and going into properties there is no information on the resolution anywhere. When I

I just did a fresh install of Premiere Elements 13 on a new laptop. I used PE 13 for several years on my desktop, which died. I always create ISO files when I finish a burn project, so that I can save them. But for some reason, this first DVD project I'm working on does NOT create the ISO files, even though the program says it has. It goes through the whole process of encoding the files and menu, then when it's done it shows an alert saying that the ISO files have been created, but they do not appear in the directory that I selected for them to be created in. Premiere Elements IS set to run as Administrator, so I don't know what's going on. I'm running Windows 10 Home, just like I ran on my desktop. Can anyone help me?
Hi Guys! When I open up my Premier Elements 15, and import some files to start editing a project, the video files show up in the timeline just fine. However, the play button does not work. When I press play I get absolutely no action from video or audio. Nothing happens at all.Can you guys tell me how to fix this?
Steve Grisetti and Bill each mentioned 4K editing, meaning I should consider this when buying a new computer. Or should I say, I should consider if I need/want to do 4K editing when I choose a new computer. Can someone tell me what 4K editing is? Especially as it relates to Adobe, since I am not doing any editing anyplace else.Thanks.LNovik
I am making a highlight video with audio from the video plus a track of music with several imported songs. How do I trim a song if I want to cut it off before the end of the song? If I click and drag the end of the file, it remixes the song, which seems to compress or expand the song, but not cut it off. I'm sure there's a simple answer but it is alluding me and I haven't found it by searching. Thanks in advance for the help!
Hello,in the past i used PE2014. I had a lot of dufferent options for InstantMovies. Now i have bought PE2019 and i'm missing the options for InstantMovie. I have only one type of InstamtMovie available. Is this normal?Thank you very much in advancePatrik
Using Premiere Elements 2019I've got a project where i have video clips in 2 video tracks. I'm constantly making small changes where I need to select all to the right of the current time indicator (CTI) and then move everything over to accommodate my change. This now requires me to zoom out, select all to the CTI, then zoom back in and make my change. Is there a shortcut for this? Thanks!
Hi,I got myself a drone to help document our house being built (hasn't started yet), because I have this idea in my head that I want to circle around the house at various stages of the build, and then at the end use something like Premiere Elements to blend them together so that the final video tracks around the house and as it goes around the house "grows" up out of the bare land....Something similar to what they do (as an animation) in Grand Design types of TV programme. So I have a couple of questions:Is this possible in Elements?Any tips on creating the original videos to make life easier in post-production?What's this technique actually called? (So I can search for tutorials etc)Any tips much appreciated.Cheers.
Bonsoirj'aimerai donner a ma vidéo un effet cinéma en créant des bandes noires en haut et en bas de l'écran.Il y a t il un effet pre defini pour ce type d'effet?sinon avez vous une methode?merci d'avance
Even though I switched my project to a laptop with 8meg of RAM on a 64 bit i7 computer, I still get lots of freezing. The good news is that when I saved (exported) the project, there WAS no freezing. I know I could get the extra drive, as someone suggested, inside my computer, but if I were to buy another computer, what specs would you suggest on a Windows computer? Thanks.LNovik
I have subscribed Adobe CC, I am signed in with my account, I go to support because my audio does not work in Premiere. However I've tried no several times but does not seem able to initiate a chat session with support

Ok I've been fighting making this video for two days now and I'm starting to get annoyed. What I'm doing is a comparison video between two videos. Each video is on its own track and at various points I break up the videos on each track (so I have the video on track one play through a segment of the video, then I split it. On track two I do the same thing with the other video at the same point. This is done throughout the two tracks)Each clip I need to have them fade in and out with a dissolve blend where I had split them, but what is happening is sometimes on both tracks the fade in doesn't want to work on the first clip but will work on the rest of the clips (if I move them all further down the track I can get the first clips to work sometimes), but when I add the blend mode dissolve, it only wants to work one video and not the other. Both tracks have the same crop effect and the fade in/out works with it...Both videos were recorded with the same program and same settings, but sometime
I just upgraded from APE 15 to APE 17 to take advantage of the marketed "performance enhancements" only to find that its even slower than the previous version. I'm running on a high spec Dell laptop - Intel core I7-6700 HQ cpu at 2.6 GHz- 16 GB RAM- 1024 GB Toshiba NVMe SSD with 40% free space- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M- Win 10 home 64 bitI'm a professional photographer and just do video on the side. I've shot a full cabaret show from a single wide shot on a tripod and now want to break the show up into individual acts, add a title to each and output to share with the performers. Under APE 15, I could easily scroll through the entire show (about 1 hour 45 min), with the playback video keeping up, find the cut points I want between acts, and tediously export. It took about 6 hours to export the entire show, with the system not seeming to use more than 30% CPU, 40% memory and 17% disk - so its hardly resource pegged. I was just outputting the original video after cutting out so
I have imported to Premiere Elements 12 a video which has main audio and commentary dubbed to it. Both soundtracks appear on one audio track. How do I separate them?
Premiere Elements 2019 (Windows 10) crashes when I click "Save As..." Clicking "Save" works, but I want to save my project in various stages so I can go back to a previous version. When I click "Save As..." the Windows Explorer window begins to paint but doesn't finish. Everything just stops, and I get the "not responding" message at the top of the window. All I can do at that point is force it to close and restart my Surface Pro computer. I found posts from Adobe Premiere Pro users frustrated with the same problem. Is anyone here experiencing this issue?
When I start a new project, for example, a 720 x 480 mp4 video, I have to force the settings. Otherwise, it reverts to a sony handycam 640 x 480. Supposedly, Adobe says the project will accept the setting of an imported video in expert mode. It does not. This is for Elements 2019. Is there a way to change the default setting so that I do not have to go through starting a new project and forcing the settings.I have tried just setting a project to 720 480 mp4 and using that as my standard project. It does not work. When i import the file in expert mode it still reverts back to project setting of Sony Handycam 640x480.Thank you for your time and consideration.
I am running Adobe Premiere Elements 15 on Windows 64bit machine. I am unable to import any media into a new project. I am getting the following error: I tried dragging and dropping and also accessing through the folder and same issue. I edited all photos in Photoshop CC 2017. They are all RGB and 8 bits. Any help would be much appreciated! thanks very much. Alison
I purchased recently Premier Elements and am working to learn the ropes. I selected an audio effect and tried to apply it by dragging it to the audio track of a selected clip. However, the cursor turned into a crossed circle and the effect was not applied. I noticed that the audio track had a 5.1 symbol, but I do not know if this is related. The question - how do I apply audio effects ?
Greetings: I just migrated my Premiere Elements 15 to a new PC. Previously, while making slideshows, I could right click on a clip (still frame really) and "edit original". This would switch me over to an old legacy permanent licence of Photoshop CS 4 where I could edit that image. After migrating, I only have "edit in Photoshop Elements" available. "Edit Original" is greyed out. Keep in mind this worked previously - the old and new computers are both Windows 10. I am running Classic Shell, but I expect that shouldn't matter. How can I get back "edit original"?
I searched on this on mult links, but could not find a match. How much does it cost to upgrade from Premiere 14 to 19? Also, if buying Grimandi's book and I have 14, would it be best to buy 13 or 15, since I don't see a book for 14? I do see that the price of 19 is $99, but could that be for people who don't own any Premiere product? Thanks.LNovik
I have two hours of video on my time line and am wondering if I should stop or keep going on my video project before burning to blu ray? Hate to find out after adding more. The video clips are HD, some 4k. My instinct is blu ray can handle more, but I'm pausing. Any experience or input on what Elements 2019 can handle and output to blu ray?
Using "Adobe Premiere Elements 12"source: Sony "HandyCam digital recorderIn the past I have had no issues downloading from my camcorder to project file except recently the scenes or recorded segments are not being split up on the "Project Assets."Not sure where to find the "On/Off" button if there is one? Thanks,Gil
