I have Steve Grisetti's Muvipix.com Guide to Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements 13. In trying to boost the treble in the audio track for certain clips, however, I find his instructions woefully inadequate.  Here's the situation: I have a two-hour television music clip that I cut into four separate clips—a different artist in each clip. The audio in the first clip is OK, no changes needed.The audio in the remaining three clips needs high frequency boost, a different amount in each clip.Although Grisetti spells out the function of the sliders in the treble/bass adjustment panel, he doesn't indicate how to tell the program which clip should be adjusted.Where should the CTI be during this procedure?Should a clip that needs a treble adjustment be "selected" or highlighted?  If so, does the program know just to modify the selected clip and not the entire four clips?How do I know that the sound on a particular clip has been modified?  Is there a visual indicator somewhe

I was working on a video sequence yesterday and today for some reason I am unable to play/pause my timeline footage. I need to insert a few more clips into my project and would like to upload this project to youtube this afternoon if possible. Hello,the double click in the monitor panel to edit (for example to edit a title text) does not work.Simple course of action:Add title - standard text. In this moment I am able to edit the text and its optinos. Save it, okay so far.When I want to change the text later, I select the title.Usually I double click in the monitor panel so that the text options and the text itself can be edited. But nothing happens now.I had no problem with these actions with my old computer and Adobe Premiere Elements 13. Last week I got a new computer and started on this one with the new version. It is a HP ENVY – 17-ae006ng with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. I already updated graphics driver with no effect. I also tried to reduce resolution, to use a second monitor, to start as administrator or to create a new project - all of these without effect.Who can help me?

What do I need and how do I convert Hi-8 so that I can import into Premier Elements 13?James Engles

PRE 12 and Windows 10. I am working on a movie consisting of numerous clips. I am editing one clip at a time, starting with a review of the entire clip, noting (using time) the areas that are candidates for trimming. Then I go back and review again, this time actually deciding and doing the trimming. The problem is that once I have trimmed at one point, all the other downstream times change, so I lose my time reference points for additional cuts.What I am trying to do does not seem unusual, so I suspect my method is at fault, since I am new to PRE. Advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.Ted

Hi. When I creaated a project in Premiere Elements 14, i mistakenly saved it to the wrong drive on my computer. I continued with the project and much later noticed my error. I saved my project to the correct drive and later thought that I could just move the preview files to the same location as the project files. I see that that was a mistake. Now I cant render the video files, but more importantly, when I try to export the completed project there is no sound. Preview files are missing. I tried copying the preview files from the new location back to the original location but it said that the file names were too long to move. They may not have moved accurately the first time. I belatedly see that preview files cant be moved. Is there a way to recreate my lost audio and video preview files? I cant render the project. The video seems to export ok but with no sound. I also mistakenly went into: edit, project settings, and tried to change the location of the preview files to the new projec

I am currently using Premiere Elements 2018 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.Here's my system specs:Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BKCPU: Intel Celeron G1840 2.8GHzGPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 750 Ti 2GB VRAMRAM: 16GBThe problem that I keep getting is when I try to rending a video that's about 30 minutes in length and has another video overlayed on it, I get an error that just says; "Export Error". I tried cutting the video in half and the render worked fine, but when I tried the full 30 minute video again I got the same error that says "Export Error" again.I also want to note that I did render the timeline of both these videos before the actual render.Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why looks like the timeline has hide/lost frames sometimes? My screen capture shows three points from same timeline. At first (top side) there was 00;00;59;29. Next frame (middle) has time 00;00;01;02 and last one (bottom) has time 00;00;01;03So I think that frames 00;00;01;00 and 00;00;01;01 are missing.Windows 7 PRO + Premiere Elements 14Have I done something wrong with settings or elsewhere?

With two bubble levels on my gear I believed the one on the tripod  and not the one on the fluid head (first time for this new head) and it was wrong. My two hour video is tilted to the left. Is there any way to level streaming video in PE13 or other version?Thanks!

I recorded a video with my laptop (it's a Lenovo ideapad 320) and imported it into Adobe Premiere Elements.  When I play the video in the computer's movie player or in Windows Media there's nothing wrong with it.  As soon as it's in Adobe Premiere Elements, the sound and the pictures get out of sync.  The sound track and the pictures weren't recorded separately.  Sometimes, without any exaggeration, it can be three or four minutes between the sound and the picture. 

Hi,I have just installed a new C drive. Had to reinstall all my programs inc Premier Elements 15. I have tried to open an existing project which I was part way through editting. When I do, I receive a message stating I need to locate certain files. I can locate these, which are still sitting on my old C drive, (I kept it as a back up). So I can find the files and point the program to them but then I receive a message stating that the 'file is not suported or the required codec not installed'. Can anyone assist? It makes no sense as the project was part way edited so these files have been used by Elements before. Can I simply move these files to the a new location on the new C drive? Any asistance appreciated.Thanks - Brian

Hi,after formatting my hard drive I had to reinstall all my software. Some years ago I purchased and downloaded Premier Elements 13 and I still have the file Setup which I downloaded at the moment of purchase. When I click to install it goes OK, then I write my Serial Number, but then I'm asked to insert a CD which I don't have and I never had. So the installation stops.Please, anybody knows how to proceed? I have the Serial Number written in my account, should I have also a CD?  I don't understand this.Thank you very much for your help!Best Regards.Tom

Whenever I work on a project I usually am setting In and Out markers along the way and rendering different sections.Once rendered these sections obviously stay selected, thus whenever I am working on something further down the timeline and I miss-press delete, the whole prerendered sections get deleted.It's even more annoying when your far enough down the timeline and you don't realise this has happened because you cant see it.You cant just Ctrl+Z to get it back because you will lose everything you just worked on.Plus when working on big projects, if I delete a huge edited section of the timeline and then Ctrl+Z to get it back, it lags out my whole computer, crashes and then I've lost everything since my last save.I don't know if this is a common problem among users or whether its just me and a weird setting I have enabled, but it seems far too annoying for people to just ignore.Does anyone have a solution for me?

Hi could you help please, I have mp4 files some of which do not fully load into PE18 (Premier Elements 18), only the sound track loads, these files do play using the Windows default program, other files recorded at the same time and from the same folder work perfectly in PE18.  File size, around 3 GB.Camera used, Drift Ghost S.PC operating system, Windows 10.Adobe program, Premier Elements 18.Thanks, John

I recently had to reinstall AP and since then cannot open a project to carry on working on it. However when I try to do it I get the message – “File Import Failure. This type of file is not supported” Also reference to maybe not having the right codecThe files are still sitting in the directory they always were which is the one AP sets up on my drive when installing. No external drives involved.Thanks to these forums these are the things I have tried –Installing Quicktime – No differenceLooking for a dialogue box asking me where my files are – I don’t get oneUsing Project Archiver – When trying to work with the archived project I get the same messageEdit – Locate Media (This option is always greyed out)Would really appreciate help here as what works for others does not seem to work for me.Thanks

Have large map as a background. Trying to have photo of a dance (first, build up to video later) appear small at the country it is from, expand to fill most of screen, pause, shrink back to the country. Next photo do the same thing from next country. Have been working with Pan/Zoom, image mask transitions, etc., etc. Not finding a way to do it. Just putting the photo in another track on the timeline does not let me expand/shrink it. Any suggestions from out there?

I am trying to make some sense with light room and feel that it is getting more complicated.  I want to just take family photos and make phonebooks.Lightroom wants you to use their phonebook people.  Plus it seem to be too complicated.  How do you get your edited photos up to say a Shutterfly

Hi I downloaded (and paid) the latest Premiere Elements version (15) recently and tried to install the app. Doesn't work. I am getting an Error Message saying "Installation fehlgeschlagen" - yep, I am German - but on hint whatsoever to why that failure occurs - and no hint on how to get my money back. Anyone had the same issue? Anyone around with a solution? CheersJens

New to this so be kind.I'm trying to export video for use on YouTube but the file size is too large for my internet to upload quick enough. I'd like to have a more managable file size but I'm unsure if I'm doing something wrong. I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 18 on Windows 10 (64-bit)The file I am uploading into Elements is a wmv. file at 146mb, see screenshot for more specs. What is the best export settings for this? The default export settings jack the size up to 450mb+ and I've been unable to get this size down. What project settings should also be selected when starting the project? Any help is appreciated.

Just like using a Slide Show for jpeg images in a single file, is it possible to put a number of videos or videos plus jpegs in a file and watch them sequentially?
