I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card to improve Adobe Premiere performance. My CPU is i7- 4790k. I want to upgrade graphic card only for smooth 4K video editing . Also I use after effects. Hi, I recently built a (very modest) editing/3d workstation pc:ryzen 7 2700 (all cores overclocked to 4.1GHz)32gb 3466MHz RAMGTX 1650 Super m.2 SSD as system drive (MyDigitalSSD BPXP 256GB)SATA SSD for various media (WD Blue 500GB) Bottom line: I'm trying to encode a 1080p (H.264) video with a very low bitrate (0.4 MB/s) and a very low sound quality - It's a reccording of a 4-hour online class that I'm trimming down, and with these settings it is only expected to be around 900MB.I set it to hardware encoding with 1 pass. While encoding, my CPU usage is ~15%~ and GPU is ~55%~. Memory is at about 10GB usage (out of 32GB)My SSD is writing at ~10 MB/s~ when I try software encoding the CPU constantly jumps between 20-80% and rendering time is 2x longer... Is the SSD bottlenecking the system due to multiple small writes it can't handle?  

Purchasing a laptop for college and I just need to be sure about it. How well would this one be able to handle Adobe CC 2019? The laptop Specs:CPU: Intel i7-4600u2 cores, 2.1GHz each; Turbo 2.7GHz dual and 3.3GHz single.RAM: 16GBGPU: Intel HD 4400Storage: 256GB SSD I'd rather be sure about this before I waste money on something that won't be much use. If theres better suggestions, I'd love to hear. On a budget too.

Hello, I am in need of purchasing a new computer as adobe recently stopped supporting the graphics card in my older dell laptop. Before buying something new (likely an older MacBook to work on for now) I wanted to make sure this problem didn't occur again for at least a while so I can save up for something newer. Will a 15" MacBook Pro 2013/14/15 still be supported for a while? As far as the graphics card goes, everywhere I look it just says "integrated GPU" with no specifics. So if possible, I'm also asking for any details on what is already installed. thank you!!

Hi guys,  Need some assistance from those who have more knowledge than me on Adobe Premiere and After effects. Please bear with me as i am quite at the beggining with Adobe (both premiere and after effects). I want to get a good base hardware for both Premiere and After Effects and i don't really have the base specs (beside adobe sys. requirements that are not that clear). So, in short i want to use Premiere and After effects in 4K mode. What hardware do i need ? My build is not made yet as i don't know what to choose these days.  Base hardware will be Z840 from HP - but this supports only Xeon !?! What CPU should i add? Intel i7/i9 vs Xeon E5? I assume that 4-6 core would be a minimum. It is better to have dual CPU or single ?  - i read that latest adobe versions benefit from higher clocks than number of cores. RAM: 32Gigs minimum (this is clear)Storage: 256GB SSD for OS + 1TB SSD for projects. Hello, I bought a Dell with an MX230 and was hoping to run Premiere Pro. I have looked up the drivers  mentioned in this forum on another thread and there is nothing between versions 442.74 and 445.87 in game ready drivers. The 442.92 that was suggested is only available as a a studio driver. I am a little confused as to what to use since the other thread said to use only a game ready driver as no studio drivers would work. I did post on that thread as well, but it is 6 months old so didn't know if I would get a reply. I haven't received the computer yet and am thinking about returning it. This may be one for Adobe Community Professionals ? - or anyone who has implemented/upgraded to the new Intel 10th generation CPU's in a Desktop.I'm currently using Intel 9900K overclocked and now editing most stuff  in 4K 25or 50fps.Using hybrid edit approach with ProRes 422 previews and generating final master in Pro Res 422.Some exports/features eg Warp stabiliser are very slow. Snail like.Machine runing all on latest Drivers and Intel Graphics Driver.I see no Adobe  info about any new efficiency drives to improve speed of Premiere Pro - just more feature stuff weighing it down.Can anyone enlighten me? - eg is it worth upgrading your CPU to these latest devices with Premiere Pro 14.x series yet , or just a waste of money ?.

Hi Everyone, I hope that I posted my issue in the right place. I've a PC built with AMD Ryzen 3800X 8-Core Processor 3.89 GHs, 32 GB RAM and GTX 2070 Super GPU. My problem is that the regular & ram preview is too slow. I know that my PC is more than enough to handle AE because I use other 3D programs and they are working fine. I so other topicts with some tips to faster the preview but nothing helped me. One of the topics suggested that I enable the Multiprocessing option in the memory tab. However, I can't understand why I can't find this option! Is it an option available for Intel processorts only? Or there is another issue that I can't find it or solve it? Please I need your help ASAP. Regards,

Just purchased this Computer a few days ago mainly for at home video editing and thought this would be the perfect graphics card. Boy was I wrong. Cuda drivers downloaded, tried every trick online to get that GPU acceleration red bar to go away. Simple drag and drop transitions on small clips are not working. i9 processor, 32gb ram. Help. 

It's time for an upgrade and I'm looking for suggestions for computers that meet all of the recommendations for optimizing found here. Things to know:The non-profit I work for typically uses HP or Dell but we are not tied to those brands, I just don't think IT will allow a mac in our world. Ideally, I'd like to be mobile so a laptop is preference but would not rule out a desktop.My current system is terrible (16GB memory, Intel i7). When I asked IT to get me a quote based on the recommendations linked above, they came back with a $11,800 Dell computer. This seems crazy. I do a lot of video editing but by no means require this type of system. Systems requirements is a world I do not understand well enough to dive into so I appreciate any suggestions, links or thoughts. Hi all,I'm finally ditching the 3-year old laptop and building myself an editing rig (or mini-rig, since it's a pastime) and I need your help. I'm going to be using Lightroom and Photoshop a lot for workflow and editing, respectively, and Premiere for video editing and creating slideshows/films using both photo and video.What I'd like to know if whether I'm better off investing in more CPU power or GPU power? If one or the other, what should I be looking for? I'm on a budget (under $2k, ideally under $1500) so please keep the suggestions reasonable. I won't be working with 4K video or 50MP images, mostly just 1080p60 and 24MP images for at least a couple of years.Thanks for your help!

Hello!  I will be editing a small independent feature that will be shot on the RED Epic at 4K 2:1 with 8:1 compression.  There will be some chroma keying and a little AE work.  My challenge is to build a PC capable of handling this in the latest version of Premiere Pro with a budget of $4K.  I don't want to go any higher than $4K, but I want to try and maximize the bang for my buck.I've been doing a lot of research and looking at other people's builds.  I put together a part list in PC Part Picker.  It has the CPU, GPU, MOBO, etc.  It has an SSD for the Windows boot drive, and an extra HDD for my gaming needs.  Is this a good configuration?  Anything I should change out for better parts?The one thing I have not included are the editing HDDs.  I have not been able to find any good advice that fits my situation.  I've got $1,500 left for the HDDs, and I want to create an internal system that can give me the speeds I need for 4K video

Hi all,I've just recently upgraded my system by buying 2 extra SSD drives, one for Cache files and the other as a working project drive, so now my main C drive only has programs on it, a lot is filled up with all my Creative Cloud Programs, mainly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition etc. However my C drive is still almost full. It is a 500GB SSD. How can I safely clear out all the files connected to these Adobe programs that are not used anymore and do I need to uninstall old program versions etc? I am worried about losing my program preferences (tool bar layouts etc) any help on deleting old unused files/programs would be greatly received!All the best Jake

However since I've to buy a company laptop for my company, they have ask me if this laptop Lenovo ThinkPad T14s AMD Ryzen 5 with integrated graphic card:"AMD Radeon Vega 8" will be supported by Adobe Premier Pro? OR they will need to go with a laptop with a high end GPU graphic card on this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html ? I would like to know so that I don't waste the company money on buying a laptop that can't even run the Adobe Premier Pro software for video encoding at 1080HD and 4K. Your system requirement page doesn't show this new mobile graphic card type so I need your answer to my question? Please advise?

My system is not by any means slow but I am struggling to playback 4k footage when editing (takes a solid 2 seconds to build the buffer when I hit play even with 1/8 resolution set) and render times for a 4k, 30fps, 10 minute video take upwards of 2 and half hours. Is AMD really that unoptimized for Premiere Pro? It's not my GPU and my system in general kicks ass for gaming (190fps in Overwatch with Ultra settings). Pretty sure the issue here is that the program isn't optimized to run on AMD. Any ideas?
