Hi!I recently made a system configuration with:- ASRock X470 Master SLI motherboard, wich has 1 x Ultra M.2 Socket and 1 x M.2 Socket - 1 x SSD M.2 Intel 660p Series 512GB- 1 x SSD M.2 HP EX900 250GBMy purpose was to install the HP EX900 SSD (wich is faster: 2100 MB/s read and 1300 MB/s write) in the Ultra M.2 Socket, as a system drive.And the Intel 660p SSD was going to be installed in the M.2 Socket to run as a work drive for Premiere - projects 'm working on and Premiere's cache files.Now i have second thoughts... should i change them between each other?I mean system SSD on M.2 Socket, and work SSD on Ultra M.2 Socket?How is better?

Over the years, I've been tracking in a draft post render times for the first 10 minutes of a conference video.  It takes in two HD streams, resizes them with some voice and renders. It's not typical of anything, but I still track it cause I can.Thought I would share since I just ran another one on the new MacBook Pro Core i9 with the built in AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 and also running with the AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 EGPU (BlackMagic Pro).Spoiler: Pretty impressed with BlackMagic Pro EGPU. It's time for me to upgrade my mac. Is now a good time to buy a mac with the updated 2019 models or should I wait for what might be a significant change next year...or the year after if rumours are to be believed? If Apple moves away from the Intel chip would older Adobe products continue to be supported? And for how long? Were there any problems when MAC moved to the intel chip?Forgive my ignorance if this is not even an issue.Thank you.

I downloaded the Premiere 2019 to a recently purchased Asus AMD A6. As soon as the 2019 application launches it produces static through the speakers when the app is the active window. If I switch to another app the static goes away. The static in in the speakers only, not in the earphone jack.

It's time for me to upgrade my smartphone. And since I've taken on even more creative responsibilities, I thought maybe I'd spend slightly more to get an Android phone that can actually handle the load.So, any of you techie-people have thoughts about this? I'm totally not up on makes and models. I only care once it's time to buy, but with this crowd I thought I might as well ask.Good brands? Minimum specs for actual use that won't make me hate life? I've noticed that the edit bays at my work could use a update to have them run faster and smoother as they are starting to run a bit slower. I'm unsure if my boss would fully upgrade everything so I was hoping to find out what would be the best thing to upgrade first. CPU, RAM or Hard Drive? Our edit bays are all identical so here are the specs below. A side note is we tend to edit using 720p/1080p Pro Res & DNX HD with occasionally MXFs, I know in a perfect world we would transcode everything down to small proxies but that's a whole other can of worms, so just assume we will be cutting using the media specs above. Hi, Wondering if someone could give us some advice...We're ordering new computers for our Media programs with 15 to 18 year old students. We will edit mainly at 1080p with Premiere Pro..and also use some Photoshop/Illustrator/3d Modelling/After FX..We've had two quotes come back. Which option would you advise for us of these 2? hi, I have a problem with my notebook, I have a dell precision 5520 with 32g RAM, CPU Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU E3-1505M v5 2.80GHz and with 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD premiere pro crashes even when importing clips, it's impossible to work. can the problem be the CPU? would I solve the problem with an i7?I am desperate and I thank everyone who helps me!

Hello,I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light onto a problem I cannot work my head around. I'll state now that I'm not madly familiar withcomputing and specs (I'd be glad if anyone can point me in the direction of some material that will help me gateway into understanding more, as I need to!).I'm away from the machine itself, so will update specs tomorrow afternoon but it's a Windows 10 machine, running a 1080ti and 32GB RAM.When looking at Activity Monitor (along with another diagnostic plugin I cant remember the name of at the moment) all the work is done by theCPU, absolutely NOTHING is going into the GPU on playback, scrubbing, importing into bins etc.I do have to improve the fans, I know that - diagnostics have shown the machine to be running hotter than I thought.I've looked through all properties and and selected CUDA over software but this doesn't appear to make any difference.Many thanks in advance and apologies if there's any glaring things missed out of here.Cheers

Hello fellow gear heads, I have some 15 years of experience in the IT field, so I have a good understanding of what I'm talking about... But my time on Premiere is much more limited  The video I'm working with is not complicated, a few 10 or so minute clips from a pair of Canon camcorders totalling 30-40 minutes of teaching by a pastor at our church... A bit of color correction, some lower thirds and motion graphics templates and a pre-rendered open/close sequence from After Effects. I have to use software rendering or the preview rendering process craps out. I'm looking for input as to what is the first, best thing to do to improve performance for previewing and encoding/exporting. Hi everyone!I would need advice for a good monitor to use with AE an PR (mainly in FullHD project, but now I'm starting to work on 4k video too and I assuming this standard will be more and more requested in next time).I read different post with complain about the AE and PR defects' with 4k monitors (performance of the preview of ae very scarce, problems for the tiny size of the elements of the UI ...) I focus on the BenQ PD2700U 27 "4K HDR... but have someone experience about it? Hi there adobe users!I just purchased some Samsung 860 EVO SSD's (2x 250GB, 1x 500GB) I have put all my footage and moved all the cache and temp files to their corresponding ssd's, I have a drone video I am working on (all footage is in 4k 30p, or 2.7k 60p slowed down to 50%) some footage plays back really nicely with colour grades and effects all the while WITHOUT being rendered but at the start I have some footage that lags to the point it crashes premiere... I have my project file and everything moved to the ssd's so what is going on? Also for whatever reason rendering is a joke, taking well over an hour for 7000 frames.I'm not sure if I went into this wrong, expecting it to flow like butter or whether I just need to lower my expectations but I heard using 3 ssd's and assigning them to a seperate task in premiere will increase performance heaps over a hard drive, but it seems that im getting worse performance out of these drives. I am getting a bit bamboozeled by all the new GPU technologies from NVIDIA: Pascal, Turing, Ray tracing, RTX, GTX. I just want a graphics card that will help Lightroom and Photoshop perform to the best of their abilities. I’m fortunate that I could afford a $400 card if that really improved performance, but I’m not sure that’s necessary, or is it? I notice that Puget Systems used to use the GTX 1060 as their base card, but now are using the RTX 2060 - which is a more expensive card.Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me?

Hi Guys,Looking to upgrade and can't decide between these two. I'll be working in Premiere and After Effects but Premiere predominantly. I need something fast for 4k multi-cam projects that are also effects intensive. Is the AMD TR that much better and also a good idea for future proofing? Also knowing that the i9 9900k only takes up to 64GB of RAM. I've read a lot of mixed reviews about the two so far, looking for some solid points to help me decide. Some are saying Adobe programs aren't designed to utilise all 16 cores yet, others are saying the opposite.

A few hours ago I installed the latest Adobe Creative Cloud" update and it disabled Areca's 1883 RAID card The only way to re-enable it was to roll back Windows operating system to a few days earlier' s install.  Anyone here experienced this issue??? CheersMichael 

Am coming from a position of Premier Pro ignorance (v18) so forgive me. We have a user creating large scale projects using Premier Pro. The sources for clips within the projects are variable: different types of media format, audio, but all located on a QNAP NAS. This NAS has muliple 7200 RPM spindles RAID5. Network is attached via core switching at 1Gbit.The HP workstation is decent spec: 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD HDD. 18 core processor. Windows 10 is the OS. GPU is NVidia P4000.The user is creating the project with around 200 clips from files on the NAS. Some of these video clips are 200GB in size. Problem is that we are seeing PP continually freeze and crash. We have attempted resolutions of many kinds not least: checked drivers for GPU, checked security updates, clean installed OS and Premier Pro, checked NAS drive speed.
