I've had my 7900X system for well over a year now, and I am still using the GTX970 I bumped from my old system because I didn't want to spend dollars for a new card that might soon be superseded.  Truth be told, I am not seeing noticeable performance issues, but I spend a lot more time with Photoshop than Premiere Pro, and the Puget Systems tests do not seem to indicate massive advantages with newer cards for Photoshop at least.  But it is starting to feel crazy spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar, so I am finally going to replace the aging GTX970. I can't justify a really high end RTX card, but I want to see a worthwhile improvement, so I am thinking RTX 2070.    What I don't understand is the difference between different manufacturers?  So the only criteria I can think to apply is looking for a card with similar outputs to my current card so I can use the same cables. Preface - I'm seeing now, reading on this forum, that graphics cards seem to cause various problems (it pays to read stuff, who knew). Hello,I have an older PC (maybe 5 years old) and want to buy a new one or upgrade this current one because whenever I use dynamic link from Character Animator to Premiere Pro, I get about 1 frame every 10 seconds when I try to composite a scene. I don't mind having to work with the lowest settings on playback, but I would like it to play at a decent frame rate. First question, which drive is best to render to, the same drive as the project? Next questions, I have:OS/Programs on a fast EVO Pro M.2 I have another even faster EVO Pro M.2 but I'm trying to save that for 360 Virtual Tours. I've thought about using this for scratch/cache but I'm not sure if the performance boost is worth wearing that drive out (should I be worried about that?)Projects/assets on an SSDScratch/cache on a different SSDI have room for another M.2. When I get this 3rd M.2 should I put projects/assets on this or keep them on SSD and use it for cache/scratch?Please don't refer me to another website. I'm so crunched for time. I am currently upgrading my 2009 Mac Pro.  I would like to use Premiere Pro running Mojave so I need a metal compatible graphics card.  What do people think of Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8G GDDR5?  Some forums are suggesting Nvida would be better for Premiere, but they don't have drivers for Mojave.Any other suggestions?Thank you.

It's probably been asked before but please bare with me since I could not find a relevant solution.My CPU is i7 @3.50, I have 32GB Ram and Win10.My Graphic card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX660.When editing 2K and above my system stutters and that's a pain.Will a new better card do the trick or is only a more comprehensive upgrade do the work?I do not want to upgrade my entire pc obviously but do wish to work properly...I'd really appreciate your experienced feedback.Thanks

Hey, recetly I bought Asus ROG GL703GE, and I noticed my main video card is nvidia uhd 630.tried to updating bios, and in the bios section i have "video configuration" set to grey, and only 64mb selected. I tried updating drivers, went to nvidia control pannel and set it to 1050gtx ti and max performances, but it still using my intel graphics for some reason. Im very upset, I can't edit normal and using the 1050gtx for rendnering/playback. Also the 1050gtx ti usage is 0% on windows when im editing/rendering. Please let me know how to fix this

Hi!I recently made a system configuration with:- ASRock X470 Master SLI motherboard, wich has 1 x Ultra M.2 Socket and 1 x M.2 Socket - 1 x SSD M.2 Intel 660p Series 512GB- 1 x SSD M.2 HP EX900 250GBMy purpose was to install the HP EX900 SSD (wich is faster: 2100 MB/s read and 1300 MB/s write) in the Ultra M.2 Socket, as a system drive.And the Intel 660p SSD was going to be installed in the M.2 Socket to run as a work drive for Premiere - projects 'm working on and Premiere's cache files.Now i have second thoughts... should i change them between each other?I mean system SSD on M.2 Socket, and work SSD on Ultra M.2 Socket?How is better?

Over the years, I've been tracking in a draft post render times for the first 10 minutes of a conference video.  It takes in two HD streams, resizes them with some voice and renders. It's not typical of anything, but I still track it cause I can.Thought I would share since I just ran another one on the new MacBook Pro Core i9 with the built in AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 and also running with the AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 EGPU (BlackMagic Pro).Spoiler: Pretty impressed with BlackMagic Pro EGPU. It's time for me to upgrade my mac. Is now a good time to buy a mac with the updated 2019 models or should I wait for what might be a significant change next year...or the year after if rumours are to be believed? If Apple moves away from the Intel chip would older Adobe products continue to be supported? And for how long? Were there any problems when MAC moved to the intel chip?Forgive my ignorance if this is not even an issue.Thank you.

I downloaded the Premiere 2019 to a recently purchased Asus AMD A6. As soon as the 2019 application launches it produces static through the speakers when the app is the active window. If I switch to another app the static goes away. The static in in the speakers only, not in the earphone jack.

It's time for me to upgrade my smartphone. And since I've taken on even more creative responsibilities, I thought maybe I'd spend slightly more to get an Android phone that can actually handle the load.So, any of you techie-people have thoughts about this? I've noticed that the edit bays at my work could use a update to have them run faster and smoother as they are starting to run a bit slower. I'm unsure if my boss would fully upgrade everything so I was hoping to find out what would be the best thing to upgrade first. CPU, RAM or Hard Drive? Our edit bays are all identical so here are the specs below. A side note is we tend to edit using 720p/1080p Pro Res & DNX HD with occasionally MXFs, I know in a perfect world we would transcode everything down to small proxies but that's a whole other can of worms, so just assume we will be cutting using the media specs above. Hello,I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light onto a problem I cannot work my head around. I'll state now that I'm not madly familiar withcomputing and specs (I'd be glad if anyone can point me in the direction of some material that will help me gateway into understanding more, as I need to!).I'm away from the machine itself, so will update specs tomorrow afternoon but it's a Windows 10 machine, running a 1080ti and 32GB RAM.When looking at Activity Monitor (along with another diagnostic plugin I cant remember the name of at the moment) all the work is done by theCPU, absolutely NOTHING is going into the GPU on playback, scrubbing, importing into bins etc.I do have to improve the fans, I know that - diagnostics have shown the machine to be running hotter than I thought.I've looked through all properties and and selected CUDA over software but this doesn't appear to make any difference.Many thanks in advance and apologies if there's any glaring things missed out of here.Cheers
