Hello everyone, been looking into Dell G5 and i got a few questions:1. it has 4k screen, i heard from some people that with higher resolution I can open more windows in premiere pro, is that true?2. about the display, I couldn't find any specs about the display, I need a coloraccurate screen.Hope someone can help me with myquestions,Thank you!

Hello fellow gear heads, I have some 15 years of experience in the IT field, so I have a good understanding of what I'm talking about... But my time on Premiere is much more limited  The video I'm working with is not complicated, a few 10 or so minute clips from a pair of Canon camcorders totalling 30-40 minutes of teaching by a pastor at our church... A bit of color correction, some lower thirds and motion graphics templates and a pre-rendered open/close sequence from After Effects. I have to use software rendering or the preview rendering process craps out. I'm looking for input as to what is the first, best thing to do to improve performance for previewing and encoding/exporting. Current spec:4th Gen i7 6 core @ 2.9 ghz64gb ddr3 ramSata 3 SSDs GeForce 750TI 2gbI didn't buy / build this machine  I... Uh... Hi everyone!I would need advice for a good monitor to use with AE an PR (mainly in FullHD project, but now I'm starting to work on 4k video too and I assuming this standard will be more and more requested in next time).I read different post with complain about the AE and PR defects' with 4k monitors (performance of the preview of ae very scarce, problems for the tiny size of the elements of the UI ...) I focus on the BenQ PD2700U 27 "4K HDR... but have someone experience about it? Does it works well?(with a MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Ventus and 32gb Ram G.Skill Tridentz 3.200 mhz)Someone recommends moving, especially for the 27", on a QHD / 2k rather than on a 4k ... but considering what I write before, it seems more logical to opt for a 4K monitor.I did not want to go on screens larger than 27" both for the matter of physical space and for budget issues ...Someone could give me some advice?Thanks a lot!

Hi there adobe users!I just purchased some Samsung 860 EVO SSD's (2x 250GB, 1x 500GB) I have put all my footage and moved all the cache and temp files to their corresponding ssd's, I have a drone video I am working on (all footage is in 4k 30p, or 2.7k 60p slowed down to 50%) some footage plays back really nicely with colour grades and effects all the while WITHOUT being rendered but at the start I have some footage that lags to the point it crashes premiere... I have my project file and everything moved to the ssd's so what is going on? Also for whatever reason rendering is a joke, taking well over an hour for 7000 frames.I'm not sure if I went into this wrong, expecting it to flow like butter or whether I just need to lower my expectations but I heard using 3 ssd's and assigning them to a seperate task in premiere will increase performance heaps over a hard drive, but it seems that im getting worse performance out of these drives. I am getting a bit bamboozeled by all the new GPU technologies from NVIDIA: Pascal, Turing, Ray tracing, RTX, GTX. I just want a graphics card that will help Lightroom and Photoshop perform to the best of their abilities. I’m fortunate that I could afford a $400 card if that really improved performance, but I’m not sure that’s necessary, or is it? I notice that Puget Systems used to use the GTX 1060 as their base card, but now are using the RTX 2060 - which is a more expensive card.Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me?

Hi Guys,Looking to upgrade and can't decide between these two. I'll be working in Premiere and After Effects but Premiere predominantly. I need something fast for 4k multi-cam projects that are also effects intensive. Is the AMD TR that much better and also a good idea for future proofing? Also knowing that the i9 9900k only takes up to 64GB of RAM. I've read a lot of mixed reviews about the two so far, looking for some solid points to help me decide. Some are saying Adobe programs aren't designed to utilise all 16 cores yet, others are saying the opposite.

A few hours ago I installed the latest Adobe Creative Cloud" update and it disabled Areca's 1883 RAID card The only way to re-enable it was to roll back Windows operating system to a few days earlier' s install.  Anyone here experienced this issue??? CheersMichael 

Am coming from a position of Premier Pro ignorance (v18) so forgive me. We have a user creating large scale projects using Premier Pro. The sources for clips within the projects are variable: different types of media format, audio, but all located on a QNAP NAS. This NAS has muliple 7200 RPM spindles RAID5. Network is attached via core switching at 1Gbit.The HP workstation is decent spec: 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD HDD. 18 core processor. Windows 10 is the OS. GPU is NVidia P4000.The user is creating the project with around 200 clips from files on the NAS. Some of these video clips are 200GB in size. Problem is that we are seeing PP continually freeze and crash. We have attempted resolutions of many kinds not least: checked drivers for GPU, checked security updates, clean installed OS and Premier Pro, checked NAS drive speed. Hello,I wanted to play around with some video footage I took today. I am able to import it into Premiere, but when I drag it into the timeline, Premiere crashes.It seems to work when I turn off high efficiency in the iPhone settings, but that disables 1080p240fps and 4k60fps. Usually I would just use 1080p60fps, but using the other formats from time to time would be great without having to worry about it.Anyone got an idea?

Looking for professional help here for my understanding. Does my conclusions make sense? I am trying to understand hardware encoding, vs cuda vs CPU software.So this discussion / question would be would the pros agree or disagree with my results. I am coming from a bang for buck perspective. I'm doing a bit of research in the GPU department. Mainly on Quadro RTX4000 vs GeForce RTX 2070.I'm aware that there's a small difference in Cuda core counts along with some other minor stuff. As far as i can tell the big difference is 10-bit output for OpenCL, Pr Ps Ae etc. But do the Quadros come with more perks over the GeForce line of cards? Like HW encoding for video exports etc?

First, I tried to join a printscreen lower than 900px either jpeg, png-24 or gif all saying the format is not supported.So I'll input the data as Text:Cpu is using 16-18%RAM is using 29%HDD is using 5% on OS DriveHDD 0% on export diskOther HDD 0%GPU PNY Quadro 4000 is using 0-1%I have a feeling I'M doing somethign wrong.  Many other might be in the same case.My question is clear, how can I make my CC apps either Encoder, premiere or AE to use one or the other material as 100% (Don't tell me I need a render farm, there's plenty unused material ressources in here.)Is there a plugin overclocking/customizable to manage these 3 apps ? I have a new Windows 10 build and the latest version of Premiere, all drivers up to date. I've run into an issue where if I use my second monitor to scrub through thumbnails, show lumetri scopes, use mercury transmit etc, playback goes black and won't work until I've restarted the program. Windows like effect controls, timeline, essential graphics, etc run fine on the second monitor. Even the program monitor works on the second. If I unplug my main monitor and run premiere on the second, everything is fine.I've seen a lot of threads about mercury not working on a second monitor but this is new for me coming from a mac. Hello!  I am adding an internal (PCI Express) SSD to my machine and I would like to know the best way to get the most out of it for Creative Suite.  Should I store all project and media files on the SSD?  Or should I use it as a scratch drive?  Or both?  I have a standard 7200rpm HDD, and now I will have a 1TB SSD available on the system as well.Any advice is appreciated!Thank you!

Does the Adobe Premiere and After Effects support SLI - two Graphics cards? I'd like to connect two Nvidia quadro P4000 cards to work as one, because the P5000 is too expensive for me.

I need some help understanding this. Puzzling to me.I got pretty simple system i7-4770  16gb ram, SSD and trying out various GeForce cards. Currently got the titan X 12GB Rendering a small 360 4k clip with Lumetric adjustments - about 2min30sPremierer Pro CC and Adobe Media Encoder CC both set to encoder Mercury CudaFirst I didn't disable the onboard intel graphics as I tried gtx 680, gtx 1070 and titan X  and all got about the same rendering time of 6minsI thought that was odd, surely should see some difference in those cardsTitan X - was using about 50% load and intel 460 was about 80% and CPU about 30%Then I read and found as recommended its better to disable the onboard intel 460 gpu, so I did. Results were puzzlingWith the titan X ..  load was 3% .. CPU 100% and rendering time 20mins (yes I disabled in bios and restarted .. etc)I checked rendering settings again .. defn set on CudaCould someone help me understand and explain my results pls? Much appreciated.

Using a MacBook Pro (15-Inch, 2018) bought end of last year.Using Premiere Pro 13.0.3. Had the notorious audio error today while changing audio levels on a file. Luckily hit mute before speakers completely blown but max levels were half as loud afterwards.

cpu - xeon 20 core @ 2.4mem = 256gbstorage = local SSD playback is not considered as I always use proxiesrendering by cuda is the question ... is it only about the cuda cores ???  I have seen gtx 690 (two gtx 680 gpu) working well in Pr CC 2019Essentially the 2x GTX 690 would be doubling the cuda cores from titan XWhat do you guys think?
