It's aAMD Radeon R9 M370XI see it's not on this list: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html#gpu-accelerationHowever, cards with both a higher and lower model number are.Is there something specific about the 370 in particular that could be problematic?Or is it safe to assume that since the 370 is very similar to other models that performance is about the same?PS: I know this is a very specific hardware question. Hello,I wanted to play around with some video footage I took today. I am able to import it into Premiere, but when I drag it into the timeline, Premiere crashes.It seems to work when I turn off high efficiency in the iPhone settings, but that disables 1080p240fps and 4k60fps. Usually I would just use 1080p60fps, but using the other formats from time to time would be great without having to worry about it.Anyone got an idea?

Looking for professional help here for my understanding. Does my conclusions make sense? I am trying to understand hardware encoding, vs cuda vs CPU software.So this discussion / question would be would the pros agree or disagree with my results. I am coming from a bang for buck perspective. This is rendering H264 onlyDon't need to consider storage as using 2x SSDs in both systems so I don't think storage would be bottle neckingNot sure if I need to consider ram as the 16gb ram is nearing but not topping out.I am not doing per second timed benchmarks as real world results matter to me more.I am rendering say 3 minute 4K clip with Lumetric effects - lets say 90% 2D stuff (hence I don't think cuda is used that much ??)Rig 1 - i7-4770 @ 3.4ghz (8 threads) - 16gb ram - GPU = built-in Intel 4600 + Titan X (maxwell)Rig 2 - Xeon 20 core server @ 2.4ghz (40 threads) - 256gb ram - Titan X (maxwell)What I found is it is all about intel quicksync Fastest I can do 3min 4k clip i7 -4770 with quicks

I'm doing a bit of research in the GPU department. Mainly on Quadro RTX4000 vs GeForce RTX 2070.I'm aware that there's a small difference in Cuda core counts along with some other minor stuff. As far as i can tell the big difference is 10-bit output for OpenCL, Pr Ps Ae etc. But do the Quadros come with more perks over the GeForce line of cards? Like HW encoding for video exports etc?

First, I tried to join a printscreen lower than 900px either jpeg, png-24 or gif all saying the format is not supported.So I'll input the data as Text:Cpu is using 16-18%RAM is using 29%HDD is using 5% on OS DriveHDD 0% on export diskOther HDD 0%GPU PNY Quadro 4000 is using 0-1%I have a feeling I'M doing somethign wrong.  Many other might be in the same case.My question is clear, how can I make my CC apps either Encoder, premiere or AE to use one or the other material as 100% (Don't tell me I need a render farm, there's plenty unused material ressources in here.)Is there a plugin overclocking/customizable to manage these 3 apps ? I have a new Windows 10 build and the latest version of Premiere, all drivers up to date. I've run into an issue where if I use my second monitor to scrub through thumbnails, show lumetri scopes, use mercury transmit etc, playback goes black and won't work until I've restarted the program. Windows like effect controls, timeline, essential graphics, etc run fine on the second monitor. Even the program monitor works on the second. If I unplug my main monitor and run premiere on the second, everything is fine.I've seen a lot of threads about mercury not working on a second monitor but this is new for me coming from a mac. Hello!  I am adding an internal (PCI Express) SSD to my machine and I would like to know the best way to get the most out of it for Creative Suite.  Should I store all project and media files on the SSD?  Or should I use it as a scratch drive?  Or both?  I have a standard 7200rpm HDD, and now I will have a 1TB SSD available on the system as well.Any advice is appreciated!Thank you!

I need some help understanding this. Puzzling to me.I got pretty simple system i7-4770  16gb ram, SSD and trying out various GeForce cards. Currently got the titan X 12GB Rendering a small 360 4k clip with Lumetric adjustments - about 2min30sPremierer Pro CC and Adobe Media Encoder CC both set to encoder Mercury CudaFirst I didn't disable the onboard intel graphics as I tried gtx 680, gtx 1070 and titan X  and all got about the same rendering time of 6minsI thought that was odd, surely should see some difference in those cardsTitan X - was using about 50% load and intel 460 was about 80% and CPU about 30%Then I read and found as recommended its better to disable the onboard intel 460 gpu, so I did. Results were puzzlingWith the titan X ..  load was 3% .. CPU 100% and rendering time 20mins (yes I disabled in bios and restarted .. etc)I checked rendering settings again .. defn set on CudaCould someone help me understand and explain my results pls? Much appreciated.

Using a MacBook Pro (15-Inch, 2018) bought end of last year.Using Premiere Pro 13.0.3. Had the notorious audio error today while changing audio levels on a file. Luckily hit mute before speakers completely blown but max levels were half as loud afterwards.

cpu - xeon 20 core @ 2.4mem = 256gbstorage = local SSD playback is not considered as I always use proxiesrendering by cuda is the question ... is it only about the cuda cores ???  I have seen gtx 690 (two gtx 680 gpu) working well in Pr CC 2019Essentially the 2x GTX 690 would be doubling the cuda cores from titan XWhat do you guys think?

Back when I submitted my results to Bill for the benchmarks, he mentioned something about Premiere (and other CUDA apps) not allowing my GPUs to keep their memory overclock.  Specifically, when I OC my video cards, I not only bump the core clock speed up, but also the memory speed.  Here's a quick screen shot of my 2080Ti OC in MSI Afterburner as an example:I've added a +110 to the Core Clock, and a +801 to the Memory Clock.Well, Bill was right.  I watched Afterburner one day while I was messing around in Premiere.  Sure enough, the GPU's clock kicked back down to its default.  Hm.Apparently this is a thing with the NVidia driver, and it can be changed.  Obviously: do this at your own risk, etc, etc, etc.  But what you're going to need is everyone's favorite NVidia hacking tool: the NVidia Inspector.Releases · DeadManWalkingTO/NVidiaProfileInspectorDmW · GitHub Again: use carefully and at your own risk.  You can ROYALLY screw up your NVidia drive

Hi Guys,I am building a PC on a budget for personal video projects. Render times are not a huge concern to me.I have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 + 16gb of 3000mhz RAM with 1 SSD and 2 HDDI am trying to save some money on the GPU and am wondering if I can use any Nvidia Cuda card or if it has to be on the recommended list?Is a 2GB GT 710 DDR5 enough to get Premiere running and editing / scrubbing smoothly? I am also ok with using an older version of CC if that helps (ie: before the GPU requirement was listed as mandatory)?Thanks!

Hello there, I built my computer around 2011 and since about 2015 I've barely used it as I've had superior machines at my jobs that I was allowed to use for personal projects. Now that I am no longer in those jobs I'm doing some editing on my machine and it's barely usable. Here are the specs:Windows 10 Pro version 1809Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.4GHz16GB DDR3 1600 MHzNVIDIA GeForce GTX 550TiGigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5HSo as you can see that's a whole lotta oof in 2019. So my question is, would I see a better performance increase if I upgraded my CPU to a i7-3770 (which I believe is the highest that will fit in my LGA 1155 socket) or upgrade my graphics card, as right now I'm not even getting GPU acceleration? Or are both options just spending money to put lipstick on a pig, and I'm better off biting the bullet and upgrading everything but the case? Hello everyone!I am looking to speed up my editing , and looking for the M2 NVM drive.... Intel® SSD 660p 2TB  - that kind of cheap ... +- 200 EUR, what are your thoughts about it? maybe some one had an experience? Hey all,I've got a home server with Dual E5-2690v2's and was hoping I could run Premiere Pro CC on that for the extra grunt.However the minimum specs on the Adobe website say I need a 6th Gen Intel Processor for hardware acceleration. Is that correct?Was hoping to use a GTX 1060 and the Dual E5's to increase my render speed as my main PC is a Surface Book which is painfully slow.Any assistance on the topic would be greatly appreciated.Cheers

I would like to buy i7-8700k or R7 2700x as they are the best CPUs in their price segment 300$-400$ (tell me if I am not right )So, the question is "What CPU is better?" Alrighty, I'm upgrading gear and trying to figure out if I should get the AMD Threadripper or the i9 9900K, what do you all think? Also, I am thinking either the RTX 2070 or 2080 and 32 Gb RAM. I use premiere more than anything for multi-camera editing. I'm using a 1st Gen i7 980x with a GTX 680. So, I'm very excited to make this upgrade! I was thinking i9 9900 but the benchmark is so much better on the AMD (e.g. AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X) (PassMark Intel vs AMD CPU Benchmarks - High End ). I have read that AMD sometimes doesn't work with premiere though. Greetings!I belong to a photography club that is currently in the market for a 50" Flat Screen 4K HDTV that will be used for display purposes of members images.These images are uploaded to a laptop that will be linked to this flat screen for critiquing purposes.Currently we use a pull down screen that inadequately displays our photographs from a projector.Our main concern is with any color management issues that may arise between the laptop and a new HDTV, and how to offset them, (in the event there are compatibility problems) so that our work is properly displayed at the meetings.I thank you in advance for your input, and I will look forward to your replies.Best,~Angelo

Hi,, I work with Logic Pro X, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.  My current computer (2009 iMac) is slow[edited by moderator] and I'm looking to make a serious upgrade (thinking iMac Pro) .. But it's still unclear to me what would be an ideal processor to choose, particularly in terms of "cores."  Some folks have said "the more cores the better".. while others (including an Apple representative) have said "no more than 2 cores are necessary" (which is particularly odd because my current decade-old iMac already has 4 cores)..  Anyways, any guidance would be much appreciated, thnx!
