Hey. Just wanted to put this out there. I just spent five hours of my live, that I will never get back trying to upload a simple video to Tik-Tok. The problem was that every time I exported the video, it was recorded at like triple speed. Not the video. Just the audio. So after hitting the forums since 8am. And trying a bunch of stuff on my end. I ended up downloading a program called shotcut. It's free. (so you don't have to rent it from adobe). And guess what? It worked... On the first try. So instead of wasting your entire morning trying to figure out something that should just be intuitive for a service that charges $50 a month. I recommend trying some of the free ones. They're far superior. Thanks for wasting my time.... A former customer.
Does anyone use timecode userbits or has its functionality been taken over by file meta data. It the old analogue days it was often used for recording recording date and it would also take a second timecode stream, useful for music playbacks.
General question about video hosting services:Does anyone have suggestions on alternatives to Vimeo or Youtube? Vimeo keeps playing bait & switch with features and I am about done with their buggy new player. Youtube is not the ideal place for my corporate training videos.Looking for an easy way to post simple Spark or Rush videos without the mindnumbing hassle of resetting presets (vimeo is driving me nuts with preset resets).
Each next Pr version is slower than the previous one. Adobe are deleting my uncomfortable comments about this, it proves again that their programmers has low skill and Adobe is not going to do anything about it.
So sad...someone sent me a 15 second 8K raw clip from the new Canon R5... Premier Pro would not play it at all. Then I put the same clip into Resolve and it played like butter! Adobe...keep up the good work. This is 2020. Its on the same computer...Resolve handles it perfectly and Premiere Pro - no matter how I change the setting, just sucks! How is this a thing??You occasionally ask me how you could improve Premiere. There is ONLY one answer if you're a real editor - ands the word is PERFORMANCE.
Here's what I think about the Adobe updates: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/premiere-pro-perfomance-all-versions/m-p/11910410#M335846
First off, I have been with Adobe for over 20 years since the inception of Premiere Pro. I have always loved the interface and its features. But… throughout the last 7 years I have struggled with instability resource-hogging issues like the majority of the users and clearly, Adobe refuses the memo. The tech department refuses to acknowledge the application is the problem but oddly enough as I have been using Resolve more and more lately it seems to glide right through projects without an issue. So is the problem my “32GB Ram Solid state drive 3700X AMD GTX 2060” or Premier Pro? Well the issues only happen when using Premiere.🤷♀️ My Office will most likely continue to use Adobe since its what the industry considers a standard, but just like Blender 3D did to pull customers from the 3D tycoons like “Autodesk” Adobe is next. Tighten up and remember you did it to yourself. ✌
Wish there was performance improvements on Mac OS Big Sur software to catch up with the other major editing software providers offering multi-core optimization for high core counts. This is the missing piece for Adobe's Premiere Pro.
Because poor Adobe is a teeny-tiny little company, who can't afford to pay someone to benchmark every single card on the market! And then I guess, they would have to post those results on their compatibility page, (oh God! the humanity!), so that people like myself, who have are fairly new, only having started using it in earnest back in August of 1995, (Brother theodore voice) ,would be able to check your list against the prices...without having to read anything about GAMING. Your customers, literally, by the thousands, have been pleading for this for 20 years! Un. accepatable. So for you marketing majors, this is one of those Edsel or New Coke case studies, speaking of ancient news, this is how, inexplicably, Final Cut Pro got started. Then inexplicably, Apple applied the same logic with Final Cut X, which put Premiere back on top, through no fault of their own. I guess it's almost time for the poles to shift again. just look at all the new sequence pre-sets f

I’ve been trying to get info from Samsung, Verizon and Best Buy and have not been able to get a useful answer. One of the primary uses for the new android cell phone I am planning to buy through Verizon is video recording. I would like to transfer that video to my relatively new desktop for editing. It has a fast processor, very good graphics card, and lot of memory and storage space. I’m looking at the Samsung S20 and the Samsung 21. The S20 is older and more expensive, but it has a mini SD slot. The S21 is newer, faster, has better cameras, and is less expensive, but it doesn’t have a mini SD slot. My question is, how much slower would moving video from the camera from with the S21 to the desktop with, say, a fast USB-C cable be than popping in the mini SD card from the S20 and accessing the video from there? I will at least start using 1080p for my YouTube channel videos, and possibly eventually go to 4K. Which phone would
I've been dealing with this upgrade issue for years. A few months back, an Adobe "rep[" tried to place the blame on the user. Told me the disc-based version was removed because we (you and me) were pirating Adobe Premiere. Yup, our fault. All I have learned is, if you create anything, keep that version of Adobe CC. When Adobe updates, in order to line their pockets and keep you buying new versions, they eventually eliminate the older versions. I had a sic of Adobe c6s, but then they blocked people from even using the discs they PAID FOR! Oh well, no new project going now, so it will be a while before I am once again dealing with crashes, workarounds, and fixes! Isn't it glorious having to work harder, pay more, and enjoy less????
Seriously, do you intentionally want to have THE WORST video editing plkatform out there?!? Is that your goal!?Premiere was really good up untill CS6 and ever since CC, it has been the worst crap that I ever worked on. I have 3950x, Evga 3080, 128gb ram, m2. ssd, what else do you need, do you want me to get a NASA supercomputer???I cannot even watch and scroll trhu footage!!! Your so called engeneers tried to help and they literally didn nothing but to take my precious time and waste it, they just copied and pasted few folders, and they didnt know what else to do.I experience tons of bugs on a daily basis, even the render donesnt work now!!!You are the worst and I dare you to respond to me. P.S. This is not just happening to me, lots of my editing friends, all of the who work in Premiere experience tons of bugs.
Glad that you picked up Resolve! I do love the Premiere UI and customisability, and when it works it's my favourite editor, but like you since around December time I've spent countless hours trying to work around this error, and some people are great on these forums and try to help, others are set in their ways and blame the user for everything. Had to swap to Resolve since work was getting fed up with all the 'sorry this simple project took me all day my software isn't letting me export it' excuses. Takes a bit of getting used too but even though it has it's bugs, they are fewer and farther between than Premiere right now so it's a lot less stressful to use!
I hate you so much through your updates and your unanswered, I lost so much time that the money I give you every month since 2016 should be refunded to me. The hours lost with the customer services (nice be it) but as competent as a student who follows only a guide. You lost the copyright for Adobe Premiere 2017, your own software ... how amateur you are. Worse, is it supposed to be illegal to use it? wtf On Premiere 2017 I can edit as a charm with 2 sources 2k superimpose with a fantastic interface speed and executing. Since the 2018 release, every update is a disaster. Recently, I have a fresh version of Windows 10 that works terribly well and I was happy to see the 2020 version that seemed to solve all my worries... no. Only 1 source of 2k lag, the interface is slow until the provision of a text or font change. Even with all the tutorials to improve speed, it's not normal. This is not normal with the computer that I have, especially since
As you guys helped me fix my performance problem I thought I would help back, if you need virtual green screening software without using NVidia broadcast, I made something you can use -- video here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NjqR2vCV_k
I'm honestly just thinking I will start learning to use Resolve and some of the other software out there. Between this issue, the issue that Premiere Pro can't even playback an h.264 OBS recordings without spending an hour creating a proxy or reencoding to a fixed frame rate, and then Adobe's consistent abuse to its customers by trying to lay the blame on the customers and their devices instead of owning up to the issues with their software. I'm just done... I can play the exact same files back perfectly with resolve, but premiere pro is so stuttery it is at times literally unusable without creating proxies. The only reason I paid for Premiere pro was that it had support for my video card and made exporting 100 times faster and I get a student discount. However, with having to create proxies and these other issues I may as well just use Resolve, and live with the hour long plus export times or pay the $300 for the studio version (that's a 1-time cost instead of yearly) that will give m
Okay, so we're asking for Adobe to invest in implementing optimization for high core counts. How can DaVinci and FCP utilize this, but not Adobe? I hear it's a long list, it's not that easy, etc. If this was prioritised to begin with from a managment stand point versus a "hey, let's wait and see where this goes" then you are left behind and criticised for the lack of priority. More features are great, but if you can't be good at the one basic thing the program was supposed to be good at then all the other features are putting lipstick on a pig. It's beautiful, but it's just bulky and slow.
Got some old VCR's and micro switches and magnets lying around your workbench / tech store? Why not make yourself an editing console. No need for $20,000 of Davinci Resolve kit 😉 https://youtu.be/6V8MeBPohD8
If you really wanted to help your editors who have TONS of older codec material that needs converting then you would give the option to 'convert on import' or at the very least let it be imported and then convert via Media Encoder in the same way the you have set up the proxy convertions - so it is obviously POSSIBLE and tghe idea that it's all Apple's fault for changing it is not true - Adobe you can sort this to make it more convienient. At the very lweast just suggest a no loss Codec for use in PP 2020 to which the 32 bit Mov must be converted - the best one. What you don't get is that big editing jobs are very labour intensive and any fiddling adds hours and days to the process. Personally I don't care what's under the bonnet I just need to get on with the job - so give us one simple, convienient solution.
It's turned into a hardware forum. Luckily it doesn't effect the high end users who edit film festival entrees which are all premiere pro ( cannes,, sundance, etc. ) cause all that stuff is PPro now. ( inside joke to what's his name, who claims this is true).I'd love to hear from posters how to solve problems with shooting and editing stories at some point... tv commercials with lots of motion graphics, documentaries with language stuff on bottom of screen in print so I can understand what the actors said ( like foreign films ) and news, sports and ads that make the TV screen screen with fancy motion and graphics and fake effects.. that makes my head spin...Someone hear must have seen or heard of MOVIES and good TV commercials where a fluid beautiful lit and shot and editited and directed ( etc. ) product was SEEN by someone using Abobe products. You think I can possibly get what platform you have and your source material and test how it works on my own platform ( different than y
I couldn't talk to Adobe so I'm going to talk to you. What do you think about makinga TV / internet program like Masterchef, where filmmakers are selected and challenged to do editing, photography tests, in short, to do a lot of things, what do you think ??
Since Encore CS6 is no longer available, I use TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6. It is $99.00 for the PC only. It has many built in menu options. You can also create your own menus. When you burn your videos to DVD, Blu-ray, AVCHD, etc. Authoring Works reincodes the videos. I do not see any loss of video quality.
Will Premiere ever keep up with Danvinci? I am wondering because I have the feeling that Premiere is getting slower and more unstable with every update. There are great new features and hardware decoding is now available for rendering, but the timeline performance and the general stability of the program leave a lot to be desired. Is the Adobe team aware of this issue? Are you working on revising the program? I think (and I'm not alone in this) that I really have to switch to Resolve soon.I really want to use Premiere Pro and have a stable environment. It would be great to no longer see the GPU sitting betweeen 2-15% useage while Premiere ist struggling to playback 1/4 quality of my timeline..Would like to hear something from the Premiere Pro Team 🙂Have a great day!
Hi, I just thought with the new year on the horizon that I would write a post reaching out as I want to build up my network circle and seems with everything going on, the way to do this is online now. I just wondered how the rest of you are getting on with networking during this tough times? And I thought maybe to start a conversation, does anyone have any good shortcut tips for Premiere Pro? Thanks Rachel
