I've been working on a project for a month with Adobe Premiere Pro. This morning I clicked on the update of it and medica encoder. It has made it impossible to complete my work because it has rendered completion of the work impossible, as a 'frame substitution recursion - error' message is coming up a 100 times a minute and it has blacked out footage that has been perfectly okay for the past month. Now Media encoder won't let me convert it to anything courtesy of it's upgrade when the previous version pre upgrade worked with all of the footage I am currently working on. I need to seriously consider quitting my subscription to Premiere pro as the upgrade has rendered it useless, I have work to do and there are other software companies out there. mark D [Mod:]This topic was replied to the "September 7th Release Notes" thread on the Using the Community board, but has been separated from the post and moved to Video Lounge.
My name is Emily Stuart and I am a Volunteer representative at Cinepsace. I was just looking through your website and found your diversity and inclusion page which is something our production company is very passionate about. Cinespace supports the Victorian screen industry and Australian screen culture, ensuring that it is representative of the broader inter-cultural community. We work to create greater cultural diversity on screen and behind the scenes. We are currently putting together a short film competition online during Covid restrictions to help promote a passion for film and inspire creativity within our community. We are reaching out to companies such as yourselves to see if you would be willing to sponsor/contribute a prize to the winners of this competition. I was just wondering if this could be forwarded to an appropriate contact?
Hi Folks,Looking for a pointer in the right direction.I have footage of a group of people being asked the same questions that I need to put together into a short vid.Although they were all filmed separately, I want to make it look like a Teams or Zoom video conference with the current speaker taking up the majority of the screen with either still or a non-speaking loop of the others in smaller 'windows' to the side so I can cycle through each person's answer to the questions in sequence as if they were taking turns to speak.I can probably do this with lots of cropping and scaling but it feels like that's harder work than it should be.I've had a good search but can't find any matching tutorials or youtube vids.Anyone know of an example out there that I can learn from?
First off I want to point out I have been an Adobe Premiere user since 1999. I want to give adobe credit for releasing the cloud subscription because it brings its products to the masses. That is the good here is the bad. I have noticed a huge increase in frequent crashing explicitly in Premier pro. We all appreciate the updates. But Adobe! You need to start releasing “stable” versions of your software. There is nothing worse than updating Premier and then experiencing 3rd party plugins missing and once working projects start crashing. I always wait till the project is finished before I update. But… when a client wants a change months later I must troubleshoot deleting media cash resetting preferences reinstalling plugins and so on its ridiculous. I can understand a 1 year old project but not 1 month old projects. It’s to the point I will most likely need to look for other editing solutions that you have not monopolized on. I know I am only one person and you probably don’t care, but t
Hello friends. This is my first post at Adobe. Now I am an artist of the soap bubble show, I am here to understand who I can become later! All have a great day! And creativity!
Can you someone point in me the direction of what kind of sounds I can use to sound design titles and text animations?
Hello guys Im doing a Premiere Pro survey for College, questions are in spanish just to let you knowHola, chicos estoy realizando una encuesta para un trbajo de la universidad y necesito que me ayuden a completarla. preferiblemente gente de habla hispana o que entienda el español Survey LinkLink de la encuesta:https://s.surveyplanet.com/I3ASqLrL_X
Adobe is so pathetic! People dump Premiere and go with Resolve. It's free, stable, and highlights what a pos it is!
Sorry Adobe. You're losing a 10 year customer. You first enraged me with your legacy Title functionality "update" as it no longer works for me with the workflow I used. And you pointlessly keep rearranging icons in ways that I have to reorganize my layout. WHY? Your locate media option doesn't allow me to select my iCloud and I was told by customer support to change my workflow. You focus on minutia like layout changes, yet your platform can't support variable frame rate iphone footage, which is HUGELY idiotic when you consider about 80% of humans use iphones. Premiere has just become the laggy old lady that can't get up from the chair. It's ridiculous. I pay you a set amount each month to give me QUALITY products. I'm better off using iMovie which is free. I crank out about 3-5 vids a week, so I know it's not me. Your product is simply getting worse. In the most general of senses, you have regressed in
Hello Everyone. I have Bunch of DSLRs, such as Canon 80D,90D,5d MarkVI. None of these cameras have Peaking, Zebra. and other features. I heard If I install Magic Lantern you can have Peaking and other Video Features. Also, I heard this Installation can Damage your Camera Is that True? Thank you very much.
Hi. I'm not sure which forum to post this in so please move this thread if appropriate. I work primarily in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and VDMX (which is a live visual effects program), as well as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Animate. I also teach these programs, which these days means operating them while also livestreaming my screen and being live on a web-based video chat streaming myself as well as seeing student's screens. I enjoy working in the Mac environment, and have been saving money to purchase a new MacBook (I need portability). The new 16" 2019 model seemed to get good reviews and I was planning to spec it out. I was aiming for the 2.4ghz 8 core 32gb model with the upgraded GPU. I was assuming that would be powerful enough for my needs. I seem to have the most trouble when using After Effects and would like to be able to do more. My questions are:- With Apple's move to ARM based Macs how smart is it to invest in a new Macbook Pro right now? - Wil
Apologies as this is more a rant than a request for help...I am fulltime filmmaker but only part time editor. I got myself a new state of the art, high powered PC 4 months ago with the latest Premiere CC on Window s 10 and it is utter crap! It is so laggy that even watching proxied footage on 1/8 resolution stick and stutters. I keep having to go through the same process- i tell tech support, they take over my computer, they spend 20 mins checking/deleting/setting things and the computer will be running fine (not well enough for me to view 4k footage in my timeline, but well enough that at least the proxies work) but within a few weeks it gets worse and worse to the point where i have to go through the procedure again. I am really at my wits end. I have been paying the monthly subscription to adobe for 4 years now and this is actually the worst their system has ever been. Ive never been closer to switching to final cut...Sorry for the rant, thanks fo
Can the general viewing public tell the difference between these three formats?
Hello , I will be working on a project this summer , a movie for raising awarness , So I needed a movie editing software , so I was wondering if you can help me out.
I need help please. I can't see the video on my external monitot. I installed the latest driver and when I click on Desktop video setup, I get an error that syas "No desktop video device detected". I use a PC.
Hey Guys, Need some advice and suggestions please. I'm basically trying to re-create the effect that Comixology does, where I can create artwork for a comic strip, then zoom and pan to different panels. While it would be pretty easy to create this effect in say, After Effects or Premiere, I'd like the functionality of being able to click or swipe to move back and forward to the next panel or the previous panel.Ideally, it would be great to be able to export something to an android/iphone too.Can anyone suggest some adobe suite software capable of this? Or some combination please? Thanks.
I'm truly hating the new 'grouped' icon colours. They bring nothing in terms of recognition and make finding the right app harder when working quickly. It's a problem that wasn't looking for a solution and makes my dock a worse place to be.
I am made a feature film and shot in 24fps and when I go to burn the file, it drifts slightly out of sync. I know blurays are not exactly 24fps but rather drop frame 23.976p. Thoughts? I use Nero to burn.
Just wanted to express my frustration with Adobe. I purchased CS3 back in 2008 and it works perfectly fine. But when I've reinstalled it on my new computer it asked me to reactivate it. There is some kind of bug that when I try to do so, it says no internet connection; but I have one. I tried to use the phone option. Numbers don't work. Tried to get help from Support Live Chat - Completely Useless; they only tell me that it is no longer "supported" and the like. But that is total BS. Why they heck did they put this STUPID Re-Activation forced feature? Idiotic!!! Adobe essentially blocks us from using software we purchase and just wants to force us to buy more unwanted stuff. This is THEFT. Criminal. Shame on you Adobe. You only care about profits and screwing us little guys. Way to go. You'll definitely be 'Company of the Year'. Keep counting your millions you make by screwing us little guys. Pathetic! Will never buy or use your crap again!
Adobe, your "answer" of File --> Close Project frankly sucks and is borderline condescending. BTW - FCP is/was horrible. There's a reason why people prefer Premier over FCP. Can we not be like FCP? Thanks. Moderator Note: Post edited. Please do not condone the use of internal editing tools. Thank you.
Adobe, I want my money back. I'm working on a feature documentary and you have cost me many days of troubleshooting. See my other posts. You shouldn't be able to release a new version until people working on large projects with varied media verify that it will not break their projects. This has happened with PP2017, PP2018, PP2019, and PP2020. Get your act together. Sticking with an older version is OK, until you have to work with other editors or the latest OS doesn't support your version.
unless Adobe totally restructure the entire way the app functions, otherwise many are going to move to Resolve.Premiere performance is diabolical in comparison to Resolve. This latest Nvidia GPU update is too little too late, and no good for Mac users as I have just switched to AMD from Nvidia so I have native Mac support.I have a Vega 20 Macbook Pro - 32 gig of ram and the fan goes on Premiere even when I am LOADING THE MEDIA CACHE...!!On Resolve I never hear the fan on the Mac - plus I never hear the drives clicking away, which they always do on Premiere. The play back on Premiere is really really poor - and I have a top end machine and fast drives and I have tried every fix in the book. When I switched from FCP7 the change was relevatory, but ever since them the performance has dipped.I started on Media 100, cut on Avid, FCP until 7, Premiere and now I'm going over to Resolve full time.I've seen the GPU upgrade but really Adobe need to do a complete re-design of all the ar
As we've all come to realize in one way or another, the best way to solve this problem is to use Adobe less. You'll of course lose your effects, but if you can't output, it's not like you can actually utilize them anyway right? As a final work around, DaVinci Resolve imports xmls, and is free. Just search for Black Magic Design DaVinci resolve. No promises this'll solve your issue per se, but free option is free; you'll only lose time (that you'd likely be using fruitlessly troubleshooting premiere) trying to find a real solution from a company's product that clearly isn't focused on solving your issue. Best of luck all, I'm all ears to other solutions. /rant incoming. brand new computer - workstation level power, mid level, 4GB usable quaddro card - same problem. I'm in the enviable position to cut ties with Adobe later this year. This was the last straw, for all of Adobe's programs. Already can't wait. Lightroom = slow as a dog. Illustrator = for my purpos

You know how sometimes you read a book that is sooooo good you wish it was also a movie ? Of course some books just should stay books cause they cant be improved by being a movie. But given the right treatment etc sometimes a really good book can also be a really good movie. Most good books that get made movies have to introduce characters or voice over or something so that what characters only ' THINK TO THEMSELVES ' in the book can be delivered to the audience of the movie. Thats kinda tricky.Anyway, this book I'm reading now would be a great movie if it could be treated well re: the above problem. It is " The Mouse In The Moon ". It's the same author who wrote " Beware The Mouse " and " The Mouse That Roared ". The Mouse That Roared got made into a movie ( I think with Peter Sellers in it ? ) and was hilarious. The Mouse In The Moon ( copyright about 1962 ? ) happens after the mouse that roared...Grand Fenwick ( a little country started by some wayward Englishmen back aroun
