Hi, sorry, I've seen all kinds of questions concerning this, but am not quite satified with the solutions.The problem:We have different programs in the disk space management field. Often these need to be started elevated. When a pdf file is opened via double-click or context menu Open command, this causes Acrobat to only start 2 AcroRd processes in the background, no GUI, no error. As a further complication, Acrobat Reader cannot be started normally, as long as these processes are running.Common solutions I'm aware of are: (1) don't start program as admin or (2) Turn off Acrobat's protected mode.But actually both solutions are not desirable. The programs rely on being started with administrative rights. And telling customers to turn off the protected mode is not a solution either. What we find most irritating is that opening Acrobat from an elevated process works for some programs, but not for others. Hello,I work in a large organization, since updates of the new version began on 21.011.20039 on every computer that has an update of Acrobat reader installed, the default program for opening PDF files has changed.Has anyone else experienced this?

We received an pdf file from an government authority and the pdf shows garbage characters in Acrobat Reader DC for some of the text (see screenshot). The pdf file should be OK because it is displayed correctly e.g. with Chrome or Edge on the same computer. The same pdf file is also displayed correctly on another computer with Acrobat Reader DC (same version 2021.011.20039). Therefore it seems to be an issue with the installation on that specific computer. We already tried to uninstall Acrobat Reader, delete the C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat directory and reinstall Acrobat Reader but without any noticable change. We also tried to delete the Windows font cache file C:\Windows\system32\FNTCACHE.DAT. Strangly one reader displays a different actual font for the exact same pdf file (Arial instead of ArialMT)Any help would be very much appreaciated. 

My acrobat standard was somehow replaced with the dc reader when I opened a pdf which has less functionality (no merging or extracting pages). I tried to reinstall acrobat standard but a pop up says the reader DC has more functionality and won't install. When I try to merge documents or edits I get a pop up that wants me to buy a subscription. I just want acrobat standard that I previously paid for. HELP!

Hi there,I am trying to open secured files (from Intralinks). Normally, the pop-up log-in window will appear while I try to open the file and the area of ID and password will be displayed for keying in. However, my reader is only in blank as in the image below. Could you please help find the way to fix it so that I can open the secured file?Many thanks.

A fillable form displays in Acrobat reader with all fillable fields displaced upwards loks like an overlay on the actual form.

I have a button overlaying my Microsoft office that says "Open PDFs in Adobe Acrobat" with an "X" for closing the window. However now matter how many clicks, this box will not go away. How do I turn this insanely frustrating thing off since it is in the middle of my email and literally blocking part of what I am trying to write or read.  

Hi,I have installed an Adobe Acrobat XI Standard (11.0.0.0). It is registered with serial no. It is showing message for product activation on install completion and asking for registration while opening pdf. After some time pdf file closes automatically. I purchased the premium version and could not do some of the things I wanted to. So I cancelled my subscription. I paid $104 for a year. So I had it for a few days and now I don't have premium anymore but am out of pocket. Do I get a refund? Or at least get to keep the Premium service for the year?

Whenever i open pdf file in my system it close automatically after some time. Same is the case from past 4 months. Can you tell me is it the adoble issue or my system issue? Thanks in advance

Hello - i keep on getting this message since i installed OS Monterey on my mac.The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.  I have uninstalled Adobe and re-installed and also unchecked show online storage whn opening files and saving files. Not able to save any editable PDF using Adobde Pro DC.  Please help..ThanksManoj    

Can aynone help with this issue...Anytime I open any acrobat Reader DC file , I can view and it works fine, however, when I click to select text the area of the page distorts. Any fix to this please? I did try to repair and update Acrobat Reader DC... I have Windows 11, RX 5700 XT  GPU, AMD 3900XT CPU, 32GB Memory. I can use Acrobat, but it is very annoying... See attached image

Hello,Im trying to share a PDF form created by me a third party by using the "Share this files with others" button.I tryed it at first with sending to my self with a diffrent account. The problem is that I can't fill the form, only add comments. What I can do is open the file in Acrobat reader (with the desktop app) and then fill the form, But whem I submit the form by clicking "Done" the changes are not saved.Is there any way to overcome this problem besides sending the form via email and asking to return it filled? Thank you!

..and have no clue how to edit an IRS Form 1095 once I saved it, and have tried to edit it and save then print. Each time I click the box and try to enter data it deletes the box, and I am a mess. Hours of searching how to edit this form without success. Lost in Adobe...

Adobe freezes when trying to scroll.  I have to go to task manager and kill it and then re-open and try again.

I am using a Mac running Catalina as an OS and am now using Acrobat Reader DC to view the 3D pdfs. I can’t figure out how to make the 3D image smaller so that the whole tooth image can be seen on the screen. In Acrobat Pro 9, I was able to resize using 2 fingers on the Magic Mouse. I can't seem to resize the 3D model using Acrobat DC. In addition, moving the 3D image on the screen in Acrobat DC is really choppy and doesn’t change directions smoothly. When I used Acrobat Pro 9 it worked perfectly but Acrobat Pro 9 is now unusable and is not supported. I have attached a screenshot of the 3D pdf file that I created. Any assistance would be appreciated. 

I have a Dell laptop that I recently updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11.  The reader version that I have installed is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Version 2021.011.20039 | 64 bit.  If I have a pdf document open and I try to print using either control-p or select the print file icon I do not get any print dialog box and the document closes.  I have removed and reinstalled several times with no change.  I would really like to know if this is something unique to my machine or if others have had a similar problem and found a fix.  My workaround is to use a program such as PDF Pro but why should I have to buy something as a workaround when printing from Adobe used to work.     You need to ask program questions in the forum for the program you are usingTo ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/Moving from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... We have recently seen a problem with a client saving PDF files to their network share. This has only started happening in the last couple of months.Environment is Windows 2012 R2 Server, fully patched. Windows 10 clients, fully patched. BitDefender AV, Adobe Reader fully patched. Flat network, GB all over.Client saves court bundles ~ 200 to 250MB in size.Regardless of whether the PDF is opened in Adobe Reader, Chrome, Edge, the file save process either hangs or says it is complete. It then shows the file on the server share with 0bytes file size. It then increments in random file size chunk but takes between 40 and 60 seconds to save.The app says the save is completed within 10 seconds and the user closes the app, this cancels the save which leaves a part saved and now corrupt file on the server which is not noticed until they go back to open it again.If the file is saved locally no such issues exist and the file saves, opens and closes within seconds.If i manually copy the file to the

I downloaded the newest version of adode reader, library instructions said to choose "OVerdrive" but I didn't see an option for thatauthorized but still can't open a library book with adobe readernever a problem with win 7message said adobe acrobat reader could not pen  (name of book).ascm becaue it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged... nothing from library site has worked help?   

I'm using Acrobat Reader DC and when I click on the rotate button to try to rotate a page I get a pop-up asking me to sign up for a 7 day trial.  Are simple PDF manipulations such as rotating a page not allowed anymore.  I know I am able to do that before.
