We've upgraded multiple systems running Windows 7 Professional with latest Microsoft patches from Adobe Reader 11.0.9 to 11.0.10 and we've run into an issue where users are unable to save over an existing PDF file on a network drive after adding a signature. Reader acknowledges the document exists and offers to overwrite, and comes back with no error, but when we re-open the document, no signature appears. If we save the file to a new name (such as the suggested "document-signed.pdf") that works, and we can then rename/copy the file. However, when saving documents to the local "My Documents" folder, the overwrite is successful. This appears to be a bug in the 11.0.10 release -- how can we best report this to developers? (Or did I just do that?)Thanks!
Hi, I noticed Acrobat have some blinking/flashing issue when hovering on buttons. The interactive PDF was created by InDesign. At first I thought there's something odd with my computer, or some setting with the file, but trying with a different computer and different file, same issue occured, looks like something to do with Acrobat... Can someone help me fix this issue? All apps are updated to the latest version. Thanks!
I can't open even small pdf files, Acrobat freezes at 'Content Preparation Progress'. Really, REALLY frustrating, I have never had any problems with previos versions. I tryed 'repair acrobat installation' three-four times, I untick 'enable enhanced security' in preferences all in vain. Please help.
Hello! I am in the process of developing tools that produce PDFs. The software produces PDFs that open correctly in all viewers except for Adobe Reader. I am trying to understand why, but all Acrobat says is: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired" I have bought Acrobat Pro, so that I can use the Preflight tool - but it will not function on files that don't open. Is there any way of getting more extensive debug information on why Adobe Reader considers the file damaged? For files that it does open, it seems to alter the PDF (repair it) and as such it seems that even the files that open are considered damaged but repairable. If I use the preflight tool on those files, the preflight tool will fail with the message: "The document structure is corrupt" Any help here is much appreciated.
Hello,I installed 21.011.20039 on my server but now anytime I open a .pdf the whole application freezes and the only way to close it is to end task in Task Manger. I can't seem to upload the .dmp file here even after zipping. Any help anyone could give would be great as the older version of Reader is a security concern. Thanks!
Pourquoi il m est impossible de télécharger des documents sur certains sites et pas d autres avec Adobe Acrobat?merci
Hi all, I have 3 Microsoft RDS servers and currently have the free Adobe Reader installed on them and we have 2 members of staff that we need to access the PRO version so i spoke to Adobe Sales this morning who said i can simply keep the free reader installed and then create 2 user accounts with PRO licences, then when these 2 users need to do something in the PRO version they can simply log into the FREE version with their logins (and PRO licences assigned) and it would activate the PRO components just for those users. I have given one of the users the login details and when they have logged in they then were told "something" would be downloaded and it has now downloaded and installed the Adobe Genuine checker tool but this is now prompting EVERYONE to login and so no-one can use the FREE version ? Could someone advise ? Thanks
I get an error message when I'm trying to add a comment for all the pdf files via Adobe pdf reader."An error has occurred that may be fixed by installing the latest version of the Korean language support package"I tried few links in the community also, but nothing worked. How to fix this? All my languages in the system are English.I still can place text boxes & type in English, with no more errors. But I wanna add text without text boxes.
All I see is a Progress dialog with no progress. How do I successfully print with Acrobat Pro (32bit)?
Hello,I'm not sure if this is a new issue or an existing one that is ongoing, but we have a handful of users in our environment that experience an issue where Internet Explorer will freeze when launching an embedded PDF to view within the browser. It appears to be inconsistent and often times when the issue happens, the PDF appears like it will load but it will show the blue progress bar and become stuck on "Initializing". Has anyone encountered this before and if so, have you found a fix for the issue? Thanks.
Hi Community, We have a little problem with Adobe Reader DC and several clients. As you see in first image, the font is weird, yet it's basic Arial Font. After multiple searches, we found a file with the sweet name : UserCache64.bin into folder appdata\local\adobe\Acrobat\DC and after flush or save this.... magic we have a good font into second image. But this solution is not durable. After few days open and close Adobe Reader, this problem is back on client station. The attached file is not an 8bf extension, for sure, but it's the guilty in this adventure. Can you see for a lasting solution, please.Best regard.Léopold.
I have a PDF document generated by a 3rd party tool. I can open it with Adobe Reader free version, then Save As.. to a different location. When I try the same actions with Acrobat Pro DC, I get the following error."The document could not be saved. there was a problem reading this document(14)" When I Ctrl +OK to get more information, all I see is "Expected a dict object" I ran the preflight analysis and don't see any syntax errors in the document either. My questions are:1.) Why does Save As work in free version, but not in Acrobat Pro?2.) Is there a way to pinpoint where in the document internal structure, this missing dict object is? Has anyone encountered similar issues or can answer my questions above and help me resolve it?I've attached a sample doc, if anyone wants to test it out.
I am unable to download the ADMX files. Are these files a free download or only for paid subscriptions. The problem may be on our Proxy since we keep things locked down fairly tight.ThanksPaul

Hi,I run Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Version: 2021.011.20039 64 bit) version on Windows 10. I had signed in my Adobe account. It kept on signing out and I had to sign in again and again. One day, it signed out and when I clicked on 'Sign In', the 'Sign In' screen appeared blank. I restarted my device, but the problem persisted. I uninstalled the app, restarted my PC, installed the app, again restarted my PC, but it refused to solve the problem, appearing blank again and again, please help, because I scan documents and need to save it to my PC, so I again and again have to login on web browser, cannot save it directly from 'My Scans' section. Please help.
Hi everyone, there is a strange problem I encountered on a single Windows 10 21H1 PC running latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Suddenly, it stopped printing PDF files to any printer. When trying to print, the Print window appears but both pressing "Properties" or pressing "Print" don't seem to do anything. I open the Queue print window while I try to print any PDF but nothing appears.Reinstalling the software helped, in fact, after reinstalling Adobe Reader, I was able to print. But one week later, while everything worked well, the problem came back. I reinstalled Adobe Reader and the problem was solved. But the problem came back one week later.I tried to follow this solution (https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/kb/nothing-happens-click-printer-properties.html) but this didn't help me. First, because an error stopped me while launching the mentioned update (a 2018 update that fixes a 4-years-later problem... hummm... anyway, the error said that I could not update the so
Hello guys,i've been looking for this topic on this website and didn't find anything about it.I'm using a "homemade" certificate for me and other people. We all need to sign documents but those certificates are not trusted by AdobeReady (that's normal). We all have the yellow message "At least one signature has problems". Using a GPO, is it possible to add my homemade ROOT CA as a trusted certificate for AdobeReaderDC and have the green message "Signed and all signatures are valid" instead of the one that i already have. thanks for your help Cheers.
I am trying to print out schematics on a plotter printer. It seems like one page with more complex drawings is giving me issues when I try to print it, but when I try to print a simpler page that has a single image and some spreadsheet cells, it has no problem The issue in particular is the printing progress window, which shows at 0% and just stays on screen until I click enough to make the program prompt me that it's not responding, or I end the program.
Half the time I need to sign documents with a certificate. The other half I need to sign with an image of my physical signature. However once I sign something with a certificate, there seems to be no way to get that copy of reader to sign a document with an image. Is there a way to make this happen? Thanks
Hi, I don't know if this is some weird default setting, or a weird glitch. I'm coming from Mac to PC and completely baffled. Hope someone can help! I can open a PDF and view it, no problem. The problem is that when I open a second PDF, the first one closes. It appears that I cannot have two PDF's open at the same time. Not in different windows, not in different tabs. Just one PDF at a time, full stop. I'm using Adobe Reader Touch v3.1, Build 87675 on Windows 10 Home v21H1. Any ideas? Is this a product "feature", setting or glitch? Thanks!
Hello, running Acrobat Reader 21.007 installed on an image on a Citrix farm and it keeps auto updating to the latest version after the servers boot up (when users sign in?) I have:-disabled the update service-disabled the update task in task scheduler-changed the registry key: hklm\software\wow6432node\adobe\adobe arm\legacy\reader\<random #> Mode 3 changed to Mode 0 Do I need to take more drastic measures and edit my hosts file so it can't resolve armmf.adobe.com? WTH Adobe. Everytime your application updates it breaks a medical application.
I have been using fill and sign for many documents for many years. The last two times, after completing many pages, then saving and closing, then I reopen and instead of the text that I previously entered, all there are are a few numbers and spaces in place of all the text. See attached snip. So frustrating! Please tell me how to correct!
My company deals with PDF copies of drawings on a daily basis, and all the myriad of tool bars and crap around the parameter of the application reduces the drawings to the point they are illegible. So the hundreds of users have to mouse around and hide these tool bars, resulting is countless clicking and inefficiencies on a daily basis. The reader is embedded into our PLM system as a viewer, but we also use the Adobe reader as a standalone applications too, and in both cases the situation is the same. How can we, by default hide, all these toolbars? 98% of our PDF work is simply reading the drawing/document, yet to do that we have to remove these toolbars each and every time.
So I'm trying to manually correct an OCR from a file. I ran into a problem that the OCR wrongly recognized some texts but it won't let me correct it.This is the original text. This is the OCRed text. As you can see, it only allows me to correct the text before the "A/4/". I wonder if there is anyway to either1) delete the recognized "A/4/" so that I can make up for it just by the red block before it. I know I can delete the recognition for the red blocks by leaving it blank.or2) there is any way that I can make that text correctable. Thank you so much for the help!
Dear Reader,We are currently using Acrobat Reader DC version DC Oct 2021 (21.007.20099) in Citrix. In last week of December, we received an error related to Citrix XenApp to which post troubleshooting we identified that RdrCEF.exe process running on the server is disabling the Citrix Universal DLL injection Driver due to which it impacted lauching of the applications from Citrix.Initially, server restart worked and issue did not appear.Unfortunately, in January 2022 we faced the similar issue.Workaround was provided from the citrix community to update UviProcessExcludes registry entry by appending the reader process.I would like to know what could be the probable cause of such issue? Is it a known issue which you have already acknowledged and working on it to fix it permanently?
