Three different threads on this site state that it can be disabled. Two that said Edit>Preferences>Page Display>Zoom to Fit Width. This does not work. The third says Edit>Preferences>Documents>uncheck Open tools pane for each document. This does not work. What works? and why on earth is this the default position to have this pane open? It makes no sense.
I am trying to sign a document with my digital certificate, but suddenly this message pops up: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC quiere firmar mediante la llave "privateKey" de tu llavero. Para permitir esto, introduce la contraseña del llavero "inicio de sesión". That password is not the same as the one I use to login Adobe. I have no clue which password they're talking about, but what I do know is that I can't sign.
I have updated my Mac to OS Big Sur Version 11.6, but when I click on a pdf file a notification pops up that says "you do not have permission to open the application" I've already tried adjusting the Sharings and Permissions in Finder and made sure that I had Read/Write access as an administrator but nothing seems to be working. I would really appreciate any advice.
This is the message I get when trying to open unemployment notices thru the website. I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader twice and reinstalled it. Nothing helps to open them up. Please help!!
Hopefully someone has some insights on this issue. We have a PDF form that has a submit button to forward completed forms to supervisor. The backend stuff works great. For staff with Outlook client it works. For those staff without Outlook we have gone ahead and set up the webmail (add account) preference and this is where the issue arises.Default: incoming: outlook.office365.com, advanced SSL 993outgoing: smtp.office365.com, advanced TLS 587 (although I have tried 25 default as well with Security and without)After filling out the form, clicking submit, the progress bar begins and after trying to authenticate it fails and requests your information again. Type it (making sure it is correct) and again the progress bar show preparing to send then quickly the progress bar completes and window disappears with no sign of error.Of course, if we do these same steps on same computer with local user signed in (not a domain account) the same procedure yields better r
I have to manually rehab PDFs exported from excel for accessiblity. For some reason, the "Order"/"Reading Order" tools are not functioning or displaying properly. The reading order panel shows up, but the table editor stays grayed out no matter how I try to select things. There are also item that show up in the order sidebar and in tags but don't have the boxes around them in the main document view. I've uninstalled and reinstalled acrobat, restarted my computer, and the same issue persists. When I looked to see if there was an older version of Acrobat I could revert to, only the most recent install showed up as an option.
I've been using Adobe Reader on my laptop for years without any issues. All of a sudden, I can no longer access PDF documents. When I click on a document, it opens, but the message below immediately pops up. When I close the window, my PDF document also closes. I've reinstalled the Adobe Reader program, but still no luck. Any suggestions?

Hi, We have a case where someone goes down a number of scans in a folder and checks the preview pane on the right side in Explorer to see what the file is and then renames it and then selects the next one. They do this quite quickly, renaming a number of files in succession but then reaches a point where the preview in the right pane stops displaying and is just blank. They would then have to reboot to restore the preview. I have noticed a number of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC background processes running in Task Manager and when they're killed the preview pane works again. I created a batch file with taskkill to kill the processes as a quick fix but is there an alternative one that's better at all?
Since yesterday Wednesday 6th October 2021 I am now unable to open email PDF attachments.I use EM Client and my provider is Orcon.net.nz I can open older files received in the same format from the same sender, no problem, but since trying to open anything I received via email from yesterday, I get the following message: "Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open Invoice 1234 because it is either not a supported file type or because this file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." I have received these invoices for years from the same provider, so I am reluctant to accept that all of a sudden they are doing things differently. I also have saved these files, and tried to reopen in a web browser, and receive errors there as well.Thanking you.,Liz
Hello and thank you for your time. Im currently assisting a client who uses USPTO to file pdf files in Japanese. File is failing and from my understanding the application needs a font and language pack to format correctly. The MSI files ive found are specifically for the Acrobat Reader DC and not the Acrobat Reader PRO DC version and will fail during install specifiying that the version is not installed. Please assist. Does the PRO version come packed with this or is there another installer that I cannot locate. Thank you again for the help.

I am needing a PDF reader not a software to ruin my computer and change and take control over what i have already. What is this crap? I have created a form with a submit button "mailto:", this brings up an email template to send the PDF, I can type in the address I want to send it to and and push send, then it goes to outbox and doesn't send until I reopen the mail app on the iPad where it sends automatically without me pushing it through anywhere? This problem doesn't exist when I use the form on the desktop computer, just the iPad. It doesn't fix the problem having an autopopulated email address in the code part either eg "mailto:joe.bloggs@gmail.com" produces the same problem. Any suggestions??
Hello, everytime I extract the pdf page and go to file save as. The box is blank and will not allow me to save it.. Please help!
This is a recently new issue that is driving me mad. I have form templates I regularly use, fill out, then "save as" under the file drop down menu. Recently, when I open up the form template and fill it out, I cannto acces the file menu from the Adobe menu bar. When I have the form open on the screen, the bar is completely inaccessible, and can't be brought back at all. Oddly enough, when I simply have the basic Adobe Dc onscreen without the form brought up, I am able to see the menu bar and the save as option, but what good is this if I can't actually use it to save different iterations of my document? I have gone through the settings, installed and deinstalled, and even updated my operating system (macOS Big sur); nothing has fixed this issue. Please, help me figure out how to use the save as function!

When we use any of the share buttons at the top right of the screen we get a blank box pops up and nothing happens, the butons affected are the "share this link as a file", "Send file as email" and "Share with others". This happens for all users. I have reset the preferences by moving the appdata\adobe\DC folder and also the registry key then relaunching adobe reader which recreates new folders/regkeys but the problem persists. I did uninstall and reinstall Adobe DC and it worked on the very first time we opened the application, but then instantly stopped working.
Gracias
Me and one other user in the building are having this issue. When you press email button a window opens and just sits there; it never opens my default app and opens and attaches email as it always has. Also, now when we try to use the "Save As" feature, same thing, window opens and is and remains blank. This is frustrating. Since the 14th September we have had the following issues after Adobe Reader tried to update itself from 21.005.20060 to 21.007.20091Server 2016 RDS farm. We get a bit of a mixture of things happening. When opening from the start menu:Users get a windows installer prompt with a progress bar stating 'Preparing application for first use'Then an RdrServicesUpdater.exe - Application Error notification "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application." But Adobe opens fine.If opening a PDF file from explorer it can open fine for 2 or 3 times in a row. But then get a mixture of the above. Sometimes the installer appears upon close. Additionally the folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Readercontains multiple folders 'acrocef_1' through to 'acrocef_32' which is using 5.2GB of data on a very small C: drive.I checked the link Basic Configuration — Deployment Planning and Configuration (adobe.com) It showed how to disab
