The custom calculation script shown below is working for some users and then not for others. When it's wrong, it's REALLY wrong (like 11 months off) and the font doesn't even appear correctly. So far the 2 users who reported the issue use a Microsoft Surface. Could this be the problem or is it something else? For context, i created a dynamic stamp with some javascript that allows you to input text on a stamp before its place (I.e a name or a date). An issue I've run into while using the stamp is that when you save the PDF you're stamping in, the text you input into the stamp cannot be undone. I've deleted the stamp from the drawings and tried applying it again but the previous text I entered keeps reappearing, no javascript prompt asking me to change it. Is this something that can be fixed within the document? The only way I can get around it is to start over with a PDF that hasn't been saved with a dynamic stamp attached to it. The only issue is that sometimes a backup isn't a available - As I said, just wondering if there's a work around to fix this in the original PDF document.Thanks,Paul

I have a drop down menu in a PDF  called "selectedReg" that changes a text field.I have the following in the Custom calculation script for the text field:if (selectedReg=="1") event.value = "Text for option 1";else if (selectedReg=="2") event.value = "Text for option 2";else if (selectedReg=="3") event.value = "Text for option 3"; After the text is displayed, I need to add some additional text to it.  But when I click out of the text field it will keep reverting to the default value.Any easy way that I can make changes to the text field and make them stay?Thanks!

(for another production step)I need to find an exact position, where the info appears. I have a form with a drop down list...-optionA-optionB-optionC...each option in the list has it's own email address-optionA@email.com-optionB@email.com-optionC@email.comBased on the choice a user selects from the drop-down list, when they submit the form I'd like for corresponding email address to be selected/listed within the email client so the user just has to hit "send" to fire off the email with their attached. I have a 12-page PDF calendar (1 page for each month).  How do I use javascript inside the PDF file to auto-select the current month page to display based on the user system date (month).  I am trying to display the current month of our club calendar that is launched from our webpage when the user selects "Calendar".Presently, the PDF always displays the first page of the PDF file (January), and users must scroll down to select the current month.

I was trying to mess around with maximum values within the fields of my Adobe Form document.I learned how to do this through the validation tab in the text field properties, but I was trying to set it so that the maximum value for that field would be based on the value of another field and the checking of a check box.So for instance...Field1 is titled LvlField2 is titled StrCheckbox is titled KeyAttribute1Str would have a maximum value of Lvl+2, and if a value higher than that would be entered text would appear that would say "Strength cannot be higher than your level + 2". Alternatively, if KeyAttribute1 were selected it would change the maximum value and the text would change to be Lvl+5, rather than Lvl+2.   I have read things that show me this is possible, but I cant seem to figure out how to make it work. II a person enters a date, that is less than 3 years from today.  The message would open and when they close the message the form would also. The field is currently a date field m/dd/yy format.  No other validation or calculations currently set on the field. The field they would be entering the date in is called APPOINTMENTDATE.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

So, I've found a few suggestions in the forum on how to do this, but I can't make it work, and my situation is much simpler than all the other conversations that I can find.I have a Drop Down menu ("Banked Weeks") that contains two options: "No" and "Yes".No is the default selection and remains there at all times, but the user can switch it to Yes.I then have a text box ("How Many") that I want to autofill with "None" when "No" is selected and be fillable - and become required - when "Yes" is selected.Any help would be appreciated.

HelloHopefully I can explain this issue well enough I have a multi layered form that feeds data to various sections depending on the kind of trading error someone had made.  One of the layers is a "notification" layer to alert the order execution desk to correct an erroneous market trade.  I have an "error" table and a "correction" table so it is clear what the operators have to execute and what they need to fix. When completing the "error" table, the user will BUY or SELL from a dropdown.  I have the export values in this dropdown set as the opposing action, so the "correction" table will automatically show (for example) a SELL if a BUY is selected from the dropdown.  This is all fine, but I now need to show the raw values in the body of an email (upon submit via javascript) for the order execution team so they do not need to waste time opening this massive PDF for a small part of a process - and also a time sensitive one.  Everything is coming across fine, as

If a number has been set on a particular field then set the focus to the next field in the sequence.I've been using the code below to set the focus:getField("theNextField").setFocus(); What I haven't been able to do yet is combine the 2. Hi,I'm new to Javascript and am trying to learn as I go but I was hoping someone could help me out with some script and implementation tips for the following scenario:As part of a form, I have four text boxes and a check box.  If the user enters anything into any one of the text boxes I want the check box to automatically be ticked.  If the user unticks the check box, I want the four textboxes to be cleared.So far I have got the checkbox ticking automatically by adding the below custom calculation script to the text boxes (name altered for simplicity sake).if (event.value==""){this.getField("textbox1").value="Off"}else{this.getField(textbox1").value="Yes"}This code causes an issue though, in that because there is text in the textbox, I cannot untick the checkbox.Can anyone offer any help please?  Thanks in advance.G.
