On Windows, this can be stored within the inFileNameW field of _t_PDFLPrintUserParams. On Mac, however, this field does not exist. Where then, should the name of the document be stored such that it appears properly in the print queue?Thanks

In some of my company's applications, we open up the PDF via code and set the title as something more descriptive than the file name. This has worked for both Acrobat 9 and Acrobat DC. We're now looking to switch to Acrobat 2017, and it looks like for some computers it works (except the title disappears when focus is lost) and some computers the Acrobat will error out. Does anyone know a workaround? I open the debugger with cmd + J, type something like 3 + 7 into the console, and hit cmd + enter... all I get is an error sound.I have searched for an hour to find a solution to this simple problem. Hello, everyone;I'm looking for help with a PDF form that I'm currently working on. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC to build it. There's a section that has 18 checkboxes and my client would like for it to be a "choose all that apply" scenario (so multiple checkboxes can by selected). The idea is, when any of the checkboxes are selected, a text field labeled "Specify" will then be visible so the user can fill in specific details; otherwise, if none are selected, the text field will be hidden.I've created if/else conditional scenarios that have individual checkboxes or even multiple checkboxes where the user can only select one but I haven't done it where it's a "select all that apply" scenario. I hope this makes some sense. I was looking into "for" loops for a minute but I wasn't able to follow it that much. I've seen the JavaScript necessary to accomplish this in HTML and tried to incorporate it but as I'm not that great of a JavaScript coder, trying to respect the differences between stand

I hope this isn't too weird a question, but I'm using an Arbitrary Mask for the time 99:99 so the user doesn't have to enter the colon themselves.However, I was wondering if there's also a way to include either AM or PM in that mask.  I tried using 99:99 tt, but that simply added "tt" to the end of their entry.If not, it's fine, but it would certainly help distinguish from any loopholes.Thanks!

Hi,I am thinking of getting Acrobat Pro XI and have never used it before. I am currently working with a number of Word documents that embed Excel spreadsheets and Letter tempates in them. Due to the nature of the embedded documents they can't be put on the web with a link and I cannot mess about with the documents too much. When I save the document as a PDF using Word I lose all the embedded files. Does Acrobat XI Pro let me do embedded files with in a pdf? If yes, can I embed Word and Excel files or do I have to convert them all to pdf? Also, if I convert Excel documents using this software does it retain formulas/macros/lists?

I have a form with multiple text boxes with defaulttext.  Next to each text box I have a checkbox that starts out as not checked.  When I open the form I would liketo see the default text in all of the text boxes, check off the ones that applyto a particular record, then have the default text disappear if not checked offafter saving the form.  Any way to dothis?

Good Afternoon, I am working on making permit applications into fillable PDFs. My last hang up is our description dialog box. I have added a character limit to the box but would like  away to inform people they reached the character limit. Is there a way to create an app.alert for this or another type of notification? I can fill fields in a PDF using Excel VBA when I have Acrobat Pro installed however how can I fill the fields from Excel VBA if I only have Adobe Reader installed as I can't reference Acrobat Library in VBA.I need to do this however we only have limited Acrobat Pro's installed and I can't get it to work for users that only have Adobe Reader.I would have though there would be an answer to this however I have been search the net for days.ThanksGeoff

I am looking for a smooth way of searching text, not just single words in a pdf document using the api. I am not interested in using the Search plugin. I have started to put together a function using the word finder and a vector of words, but I am a little surprised that it does not exist a better way of doing this. Or does it?

Hi, I have a text field called “customerBName” which by default is always visible  and another two fields called “customerBAddress“ & “customerBTel” which by default are hidden.I need a script for the On Focus event on”customerBName” which will do the following:When the user clicks (or tabs)  into “customerBName” then the fields “customerBAddress” & “customerBTel” become visible(but not printable).If the user then enters data in ”customerBName” and subsequently tabs out then the other two fields remain visible(but not printable).However, if no data was entered in “customerBName and the user tabs out then the other two fields revert back to their original hidden state.

can't retrieve my serial number
