Hello out there!Ok, so I know just enough to get myself in trouble sometimes and don't know how to write scripts 😕😕I'm looking to set up a form for my business to make quick work of estimating and am trying to create what I believe to be a simple calculation as follows:Form field 1 is a drop down named "Box Type" and may contain the following drop-down options: "Frameless; Faceframe; Inset"Form field 2 is a text box called "Base Amount" with the Format set as "Currency", and I want that box to display a dollar amount based on the option displayed in form field 1.Hope I've made sense here! Hello, I have created a character sheet for a game and I am stuck trying to translate drop down menu choices into numerical values to work with. The point is that a character is supposed to gain different bonuses according to the race chosen (as shown in the human/elf example below). I´m trying to create a java-instruction, that, when I press a button, save the current PDF-form under a nwe name. The name of the PDF will be fetched from a field within the PDF-form.BUT - I can´t get the "saveAs" function to work!I´m using the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.I want to use the java-command because I need to be able to name the new file from a field in the form.I´ve been trying a couple of different syntax:this.saveAs();this.saveAs("file1.pdf");event.target.saveAs();event.target.saveAs("teat.pdf");...I am lead to belive that it is a problem with security, a saveAs or save function might be able to change data on the computer without the users controll. BUT - the command exists - how do I set it up to work?!The form will later be mail to different recipients, where I need the same function to work. SO - I can´t place a script in the Java-folder since it won follow the document to the new user?!

I need JS codes for the create date of a pdf formular and a code that takes the windows user that oppened the documente.I use "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC"Where can I fill in the JS codes in the pdf document?1) tools, JavaScript, under add the code right?, under Skriptname any name right? and how can I fill it in in the pdf formular after I did this?2) tools, Formular prepare, dobble click a description field, format, user-defined, user-defined key input, edit, give the code in and how can I fill it into the pdf formular now?If non of those two versions work can you tell me howI can fill it into the pdf correctly?If one of those versions work, can you tell me than how to get them into the pdf that I see them?Thanks for helping in advanceYannick

I have multiple forms with document level scrips.  I need to find a way to have the document fully open PRIOR to the cripts running.  Is there a way to do this or do I need to copy all my scripts in the Page Open area

If anyone can help with a scenario that I'm struggling with I would be eternally grateful.  I am learning how to write in Javascript but am very new to this.  I'll do my best to describe what is happening and how I'm trying to write the script.  Below is the breakdown:Line "J10" is a sum of 5 lines. Line "J13" is the sum of line "J10" and "J12" ONLY if Line "J10" is greater than 0.  If Line "J10" is a negative number then Line "J13" should return 0.  I've written the script so many different ways I think I've thoroughly confused myself.  At one point, I thought I solved it.  When I enter the number and it gave the result I was looking for on the positive side and then changed the number to a negative but the result from the previous script didn't change but stayed the same.  I want to be able to write the Javascript so if I test it with a positive result it gives the result I'm looking for and if I change the test number to a negative number that

Is there a way to search, highlight, extract, but instead of extracting the entire page, I only want to highlight/extract the sentence or paragraph the term is contained in?I ultimately want to be able to export a "summary" into excel of a predefined set of search terms and pull the surrounding sentence or paragraph so that this exported list contains the context of how the term is being used in the document.Is this possible??Thanks,

HelloI am trying to import multiple (6) rows into a text field from a text file. If i add 2 or more rows it gives me an ouptut of 0. The code transfers all the values from the PDF file into my Excel sheet .... I thought so .... On page 2 and following, after two-thirds of the page the enumeration ends and it continues on the next page ... On page 1 but everything is transferred .... has anyone ever had the phenomenon? Hello,I made a pdf form that has a table that has calculated fields, in them there is a formula that takes the data from the fields of its line and the result serves as the starting value of the lower line.But since at the beginning there are not all the fields with their respective values, the formula lacks arguments and the Javascript warning sale appears informing me of it.Is there any way to disable the Javascript warning window?Thank you so much

Hello,We are using Adobe Reader DC plugin and would like to disable Adobe keyboard shortcuts like F8 to show/hide the Adobe Toolbars, Ctrl+Shift+S to Save, Ctrl+P to Print, etc programmaticallyWe understand that in previous releases of Adobe Acrobat/Reader this was NOT possible or restricted. Something seems to have changed in recent updates for my Acrobat XI Standard.  Just in the past month or so, Acrobat has started defaulting to using the document title rather than the file name.To give some background; my company has several Word templates from which we create documents, which are then PDF'd (via Save As function) with the Standard options, which includes bringing across the document properties.  In the document properties, the Title (under details) shows the template name; but the File Name has important information such as job reference number and date.  PDFs have just recently started to show the document title (template name) in the bar by default, and I have to manually change it back to file name under the initial view settings in Properties. But this is tiresome to do for every document I PDF. Why has this changed?  Can I change it back to always PDF with document title?I have Office 2016/365, and I'm on version 11.0.12 of Acrobat XI Standard

Newbie.Looking to add a calculations tool on my form that will fill various fields.This is an evaluation form that asks multiple questions, and the responses either gives you a best answer, good answer, or wrong answer with a value assigned to each response. The form has a total of 48 Groups. Each group contains either 2 or 3 selections (some sections have just a right or wrong answer). I have named each group the same to allow only 1 selection per group. (i.e. Group1, Group2, etc.). I have assigned a Choice value to each with some questions having more weight than others (values 5,4,3,2,1, or 0). Points would be awarded depending on the question and best-worst answer (worst always being 0). No question will have more than a value of 5 for the best response. Lastly, each question group has an "N/A" block that would void the points from that question if the evaluator deemed it not required.Example (made up): How do you change a tire? Is there a way to script that?The logic would be if the field CONTAINS this specific text, change the text color. Hi, I am a novice but have enough knowledge to have created several complex engineering calculation forms.Currently I have the following situation and need assistance:Field "volume required" = calculated based on user entry (other fields in the form)Field "depth" = calculated as:  "volume required" / ("area" *2.32), taking that number and assigning it a value based on the range it is in (using if...else if)Field "area" = user enteredField "volume" = calculated as: "depth" * "area"I want to add a "plus" and "minus" buttons on either side of the "depth" field which should allow users to increase/decrease the value of the "depth" field in increments of 0.33.
