I am creating a form in "Acrobat Pro" and that has a drop down with list of 100 countries. I would like the user to begin typing part of a value and for the form to hone in on the value.For example: if the user type "Al" it would bring up "Albania" Algeria, etc.

Serait il possible de me fournir la licence. J'ai contacté Sony en leur expliquant mon problème mais ils refusent de me fournir la licence. En effet celle qu'ils utilisent pour faire leurs pré-installation sur les PC qu'ils vendent étant une licence permettant d'installer adobe pro sur de nombreux postes.Cordialement

Hoping someone can assist me, I am developing a acrobat form and am struggling a little bit! Basically I want the user to tick a checkbox and then click a button. If the checkbox is ticked when the button is pushed then the form should add a page template. At the moment I have the below code for this part however when I preview the form, it doesn't matter whether if the checkbox is selected or not selected, it spawns the page template anyways. This makes me think that there is something not right about my if statement. Hello,I want to create a "Send" button that sends the form as a "flattened" copy via email. In other words, the original should remain unaffected. Is this possible? Can someone help me?If I just use the command "this.flattenPages();" it changes my original form...Thank you very much!

I recently installed Windows 10 Enterprise (64 bit) on Dell Optiplex 9010 PC with 16 GB RAM as a clean new install.  After re-installing my Acrobat XI Standard registered version that came with my Fujitsu scanner, I am UNABLE TO OPEN MULTIPLE PDF FILES AT THE SAME TIME due to crash. I ran the update - currently running 11.0.15 version.  I also changed the Screen Reader Options / Page vs Document to "Only read the currently visible pages" but is still crashing. Does anyone know of another setting that needs to be looked at when running Windows 10 so that I can open multiple files at the same time without crashing?

The problem is sporadic, so there isn't a set amount of highlighting that I do that triggers it. Sometimes it occurs after I try and highlight the first line, other times I make it through most of the document before there is an issue. When the program freezes I can typically still save the document if I click the icon fast enough, but after that the whole program freezes. This also freezes my laptop and I have to resort to opening the task manager through keyboard shortcuts in order to close the program. Once I do this, everything unfreezes.I am running Adobe Acrobat DC Pro on Windows 10 Home Version 1607.I have seen some other similar issues, but no specific fixes. I have already attempted to repair the program and have reinstalled it twice. I also had Adobe Reader installed on my system and fully removed it in case the two were interfering with each other. Neither of these actions have corrected the problem.Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hello!I am wondering if there is any way to create a dropdown list with duplicate values in it. I have a list of numbers which when selected populate a description in a separate field. I have one number that needs to appear twice in the list, and populate one of two descriptions based on the export value.Any ideas?Thank you!

When creating a form using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, how can I format a text field ('Text_A' at top of page) to auto populate other text fields ('Number_1', 'Number_2', etc. at bottom of page) within the form? I want to minimize the number of times the form user has to type in the same information within a 10 page form. I included a mock up form below. From my research, it appears I'll need to add JavaScript to the Action tab within the Properties box.  I am a novice at JavaScript.  If you can help me, please include the code and necessary steps to complete the task.Thank you in advance as this formatting request is the final step needed to meet my deadline.

I found the same question on the forum, and the only reply was "why do you want to do that?"  That's an absurd question.  If you can't be helpful, don't increase your number of posts with worthless fluff.

I'm sorry for not taking a more research based approach but this is a side project for my job that I can't put too much time into - I apologize if some of these questions are just very silly.My form is meant to use if/then calculations to return information based on data from 240ish fields that may or may not end up with data in them. In October 2015, Adobe added a tabbed interface to the subscription of Acrobat DC Pro and even to the free Acrobat DC Reader.For reasons unknown that only disrespect owners of the desktop licensed version of Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe refuses to issue an update that adds the tabbed interface. For heaven's sake, Adobe, you're giving away the tabbed interface in your free Acrobat DC Reader. So why not add it for us paying customers with the desktop perpetual licensed Acrobat DC Pro (and Standard)? If I were cynical, I'd suspect this is a marketing ploy to get us to switch to the relatively expensive subscription version of Acrobat DC Pro, but you're giving it away for free in Acrobat DC Reader.Could Adobe please have the decency to issue an update to the desktop perpetual licensed Acrobat DC Pro and Standard that adds the tabbed interface to it? Is there a way to use the automation script from Thom Parker to redact an area of one page and then a different area of another page?What I'm trying to do is redact the name and address from page 1 of a letter (which I can do with Thom's script); but then I want to redact some other details on page 3 which aren't in the same place as the data on page 1. Is it possible to write this into the script or should I split the script in two and redact the information from page 1 before running a second script to redact the data on page 3.Kind regards,Martin

Hi Everyone,I would like to send some PDF-Documents to someone ouside of our Organisation. I would like them not to be changeable until a certain expiration date. After expiration I would like them to change automatically the secutrity setting to require a password to get opened. The goal is that the person has an expiration date and after that date he or she cannot open the file. Before that date he or she cannot change the data.Does anybdy have any idea? Currently I can not print and create a PDF file which I could before my Windows crashed and I had to reinstall all my software.  I used File, Print, gave the name of the file and location where the file was to be saved and a PDF file would be created.  I only get an error message in the print queue or nothing happens at all. 

Hi all:Working with Acrobat X Pro; would like to have a long, locked text field  ("txtWarning") with a default value advising the user to re-open the form with Reader/Acrobat and make sure javascript is enabled for helpful navigation and calculations. (So the default assumption is javascript is either disabled or it's been opened by something other than Reader or Acrobat - aka friggin' Preview.)Seems it should be possible to then, on document open, test to see if javascript is enabled, and if it is, change the value of this.getField("txtWarning").value to something other than the warning --- a helpful hint or something.  Been reading a lot about OCG layers, etc. for the problem of Preview in MAC or javascript being disabled but can't find anything on just determining if javascript is enabled, which would seem to be the first step.Thanks!Brian

I am working with Adobe Acrobat for about 6 years (since the time of acrobatusers.com). I have created thousands of forms with javascript. Today I faced a strange problem that broke me. I have written this code in a textbox calculate eventapp.alert("Hello World");According to my experience it should show a message "Hello Word" every time the form is opened. But it is not showing any message. I am on Windows 10 (64 bit) with Acrobat 11 and Reader DC.I have tried it on my old laptop Windowns 10 (32bit) but the problem is same.Please, please help me.

Hi All,I am new to IAC and I want to export all the annotation from the PDF using IAC SDK.AS of now I am able to export the Annotation using JSOObject but it is opening PDF and exporting the Annotation.What we want is to export the Annotation without opening PDF.Can you please guide me how to export the Annotation using IAC Silently without opening PDF.

Page items display changes based on item selected in dropdown  box. For example, if I select US, the 2nd dropdown box will list all the states, if I select China, the 2nd dropdown box will show another set of value for province.

Hey gals & guys,I am making a self-assessment test with 5 questions. Each question has 3 answers. There is no right or wrong answer. Each of the answers is 0, 1 or 2 points. Is there a way to use JavaScript to calculate the final results and output some text in a field and fill it with color? And is there a way to decide the color based on text? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
