I want to create Adobe forms for internal employee use.  These forms will not be published on the web.  I created my first form and since it had fairly simple calculations I was able to muddle through it.  For my next project, there are some relatively simple formulas if I were using excel.  However, I need help with actually getting the process started.  Specific questions are:1. Must I add custom calculation script to each individual box or can I use the JavaScript tool to write code for the entire form?2. Where do I start since I am not publishing to html?  My research indicates that JavaScript should be placed into html code...do I really need to do this?3. Before I get overly ambitious (it may be too late), I want to make sure it is possible to do what I want to do.  So based on the below, I want the PaymentD_"x" boxes to use the Repayment_Start_Date +14 days...thus a payment every two weeks.  I think with these points answered, I will be ab

Hi all,We install Acrobat (either standard or the pro version) on WIN 7 or WIN 10. By default window creates an "Adobe PDF" printer. When our application (written in C++ using VS2015), prints to the default printer, in this case "Adobe PDF"; normally the print dialog comes up and you can specify name and folder location for the PDF output. I can disable the Print Dialog box and system uses the default applications window title. There are various options in Acrobat to setup folder path and other features of the Acrobat. But, I like to configure the output file name and path through our application.I have downloaded and spent many hours reading.... no luck yet. Could somebody point me to the right direction.Any help is appreciated,..Terry

Hi!Sorry for this noob-question, but that is what I am.Regarding Acrobat Pro DC and field data export.I want to export field data to a CSV, with the field names in one vertical column and the field values in the next vertical column. I have three fields. Two of them are input fields. Field1 is to enter the foot measurement of length of board. Field2 is to enter the specific size I want to get out of Field1. Like for example 8' / 3' = 2pcs. I don't want the scrap amount, just to show 2pcs. I have the following script to do the division,var v1 = +this.getField("Field1").value;var v2 = +this.getField("Field2").value;if (v2==0) event.value = "";else event.value = v1 / v2;the script works to do the division, but it rounds up. Unless I select one decimal place under the Number pane. But, I don't want that result. I would just like to see the whole number. Not the number with the decimal place. Hi,I have users who have old versions of an action wizard (version 1.10 and version 1.11) I created.  I now have an update which is version 2.0.  I want to make it so that when they import version 2.0, the code looks for version 1.10 and 1.11 and deletes them.I realize there is a way to manually do this by going to Edit Actions and deleting the old action wizards.  However, I don't think my users will actually do it such that there will be 3 versions on their system.  I can imagine they will use the other versions which have some bugs.Hopefully someone can help.  I am using Adobe Acrobat XI.Thx.Sue

I have an editable .pdf form that has a Submit button with a Java script running to send the completed form to a specific email address in our company.  I need to change the email address to another.  I have changed the script to the appropriate email address but that does not change the function on the form, it still submits the old form name to the old address.  It is possible that the script is not running, but where else would it be getting its direction from?  I am unable to see where else this data should be changed.  Please HELP!

I'm creating a form within Acrobat Pro 9 and need assistance in a few areas. The form is for my wedding videography business. I've created the form which has a calculating table to calculate the total cost of the production. First,I offer 3 Packages (Bronze, Silver and Gold). Each Package has a radio button and I want only 1 of the buttons select at a time. How do I do that? Is it better to use a radio button or a checkbox?Second,Once a button is selected, I want the Name of the Package and the Price of that Package to auto fill in the table.Third,If the Mic'd Groome radio button is selected I would like to auto-fill the price in the table.Please provide detailed instructions. I'm limited on programming skills. I'm guessing some of this will be if/then statements. Hi JS experts.I'm having hard time understanding how Willprint document action actually works.As it sounds, it should allow a js code to be triggered just after the Print button is hit, and obviously before the real printing.But I got this situation where code is triggered after the printing... which would be a Didprint behavior as I understand it...Code is about spawning a template:a=getTemplate("myTemplate");a.spawn();Doc prints without the spawned page and then adds it.Thanks in advance for your enlightening help...Vinny

I've been able to use the GetNthWord function to extract invoice numbers from most pdf documents but now I am encountering image documents that have varying numbers of words (post OCR) before the desired invoice information (different addresses cause the word count to change).  I was told once that you can crop the document to the rough area where the invoice number should be, ocr the area and then grab the invoice number.  the OCR part and grab the nth word part I think I can handle.  I can find any examples of cropping with JavaScript and then restoring the document to orig full.  I need to do batches of documents this way.

Acrobat X was working fine last week in Windows 10 and now this morning it won't launch in windows 10 when I run the trouble shooter it says its compatible with windows 7 how do I fix this?

For example, for folks in Texas, only a few handle accounts within a 5 digit zip code range with a prefix of 750**. So, i got a button which grabs a employee number from a field and adding it to another field. I want my from to add a number behind the number it just grabbed, but so far i can only get it to add the number to current number instead of putting it behind it. Everything else i've done is wrking (Got an alert if the field the button grabs data from is empty and got it to grab the number and paste it in the field) but from here im lost. Everything i've tried just aint working. I am trying to get a form to auto fill from a tab delimited text file when a button is clicked.I have a Mouse up triggered run JavaScript that is runningthis.importTextData("/c/Users/username/Desktop/filename.txt", 0)When I manually enter the data through Manage form data > Import data it accepts the data just fine so I know the file works I just want to make it so it can be run with just the button.What am I missing?

Version in use Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release (Classic) Version 2015.006.30119Issue:  Redaction of text clips the bottom of the row above due to redaction tool selection box height attributes.  Initially desire to redact with white fill. Unacceptable result. I have an option to insert word "[Reserved]" using Properties Appearance\Use Overlay Text, and Redacted Area Fill Color set to "none" or "white" but I get the same result, regardless of Font Size set.Text alignment is Top justified and I cannot see how to change this.  I can Left/Center/Right justify text alignment, but not vertically.  If bottom justify was available I believe it would work.Is there a way, with the version in hand to either adjust the redaction tool box height (for text redaction, not image) or to force bottom justify of the Overlay Text desired?The only immediate solution I can find is to hover outside the test to get the cross-hair selector, size my own box

Hi,I have a field called «ID.number» where the users fill inn a number. The number contains a birth date and five other digits and will always be in this format: "DDMMYY00000". I want to extract the birth date from the field and add it to a new field called «birth.date.» The output should be: dd.mm.yy (or dd.mm.yyyy) Can anyone help me with a script so I can extract the numbers and add punctuation marks between the digits?
