I am looking for a training that can help me to interact with PDF fillable forms. These forms are created by Acrobat DC Professional, and we want to put these forms online, and let users fill the form and submit the form online, and we will then extract the fields data after the forms submitted, and do some kind of workflow behind scene.I have some basic experience in JavaScript, C#, etc.Would someone give some suggestions, and where can I find the training? Hi,a simple API call to prefill a textfield is working perfectly in Acrobat Desktop and iOS, but not in Android. I downloaded a form with fillable data fields and it took more than an hour to complete.  After saving the file, when I reopen it, the data flashes in the form fields and then disappears.  Where does it go? And, how do I get it back?  What setting can I change to keep this from happening?  I really don't want to have to re-type all that data again...I'm using Acrobat Pro 9 on a Win 7 pc...EDIT... I changed my reader to Acrobat DC and got the same result.  The data flashes across the fields then disappears.  I also e-mailed the form (completed) to another computer with the same result on opening.Thanks,Bob

I am new to Javascript programming in adobe.  I have a purchase req that needs to multiply the qty and the unit cost to get an extended cost.  I know I can do this in a simple calculation, but I also want fields that are zero to return blank.  the code I have so far is:event.value=(this.getField("QtyRow1").value * this.getfield("UnitCostRow1").value);If(event.value==0) event.value = "";neither stablemen is working.  The first does not seem to calculate and the second give me the missing; before statement 2 error...any help you can give would be great.

Please help with (the script). Necessary to multiply the two cells. The first is the QTY (set by hand). The second cell is given a choice between four ranges (1 - 1 to 50; 2 - 51 999 3 - 1000 to 2499 4 - 2500 & up). The table looks like this: QTY Choice1 Choice2 Choice3 Choice4 Total Price!

In Acrobat X, is there a way to create a java script that would open up the print dialog and select black and white printing, and print the document? We have a color printer, and it is cheaper to print in B&W, and there is no color in the form being printed. We are currently changing it for this document every time we print it, we don't want to change the default because we do a lot of color as well. I'd like to assign the script to a button and add it to the form.If there is a different way to accomplish this, I am open to suggestions.Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi,I am trying to create an autofill date field on an Acrobat form that does not change once calculated, ie. the user opens the form and the date populates automatically, the user saves the form but on subsequent opening, the original date remains.So far I have successfully created a Javascript in Page Properties Actions to print the date on opening the form but I cannot find a way of prevent further changes.  I have tried various scripts to do this but none worked for me.I also tried creating a field level calculation which worked fine in so much that it populated the field with the date as required but I couldn't clear the form before saving it for use.  I found a debugging script to enable me to clear the field - great - but after saving and trying to use the form, the field remained blank.  So I'm back to square one.  I don't really mind if the field completes on opening the form or on a mouse click, as long as the date does not change if the form is reopened on

When I load copies in my HP Officejet Pro 8620 AiO ADF in an attempt to scan multiple pages, it only scans from the flatbed and makes no attempt to scan from the ADF. What is needed to correct this problem?? Please help

When I save a Powerpoint pptx to PDF using the Adobe DC plug in the content created with the Pen tool is missing.

I have two cells that need to be subtracted from each other.The first cell is Receipt Total ARow1.The second cell is the one that needs to be subtracted from the first cell, it is called LESS GST A BRow1.The third cell is where the total of this subtraction needs to show, it is called Net Expense A BRow1.Please tell me how to write this as a javascript and do I put it in Simplified field notation or in Custom calculation script.Thank you

Hello,I am writing a C++ Acrobat plug-in and I am new to the Acrobat SDK.What my plug-in currently does: Recursively iterates through all bookmarks, starting at the root, and gets the title for each bookmark.My goal: Determine the page number associated with each bookmark (if there is one) and then re-order all the pages in the document according to the order of the bookmarks.My problem: After reading through the Acrobat SDK, I cannot find a way to determine the page number for a given bookmark. Hi allI've created an interactive pdf that activates/shows different layers when you press the different buttons. The content works fine on the computer but doesn't work on either Apple or Android devices. When touching the screen it simply brings out the normal phone menu, or zooms in when double-tapping.Can somebody please let me know if it's possible to change this as everyone here uses Apple office phones (except me, I prefer Android) and sometimes they want to read this thing on their mobile device and I'd like to make it possible.Cheers all.

We have a webdav server.I can start Acrobat DC (or Acrobat Reader), go to File -> Open, and where it says "File Name:" I can enter the URL of a file on my webdav server, e.g. http://webdav.mycompany.com/docs/myfile.pdfIt opens perfectly, I can edit the file, and I CAN SAVE IT BACK TO THE SERVER - because this is webdav (something that apparently a lot of people don't know exists... see for example the final reply here: https://acrobatusers.com/forum/collaboration-commenting/open-pdf-file-http-url-through-command-line-option/  ) All well and good.The problem is that if I try to do the same thing by opening acrobat from the command line, with the URL as a parameter, like so:> acrord32 http://webdav.mycompany.com/docs/myfile.pdf or> acrord32 "http://webdav.mycompany.com/docs/myfile.pdf"I get:There was an error opening this document. I'm trying to create a PDF file from an excel file and get error "Adobe PDF printer failed to create the PDF file." I have been using this tool for many years with no problem. I've tried this several times and get same error.

I am trying to find a formula that will extract from page 3 up to the last but two pages of a pdf. I then want to save the eo xtracted file and save it to a specific file on the C drive using the original file name with a prefix of INNER.  All I have so far is the formula for extracting the pages -this.extractPages(2, this.numPages-3 );

How do I add the function for my form to self calculate cells?  I have several that I want to add together but can't figure it out.  When I'm in "prepare form" I right click on the cell and select properties, but there is not "calculate" option like I see in all the tutorials.  Should I be in "prepare form" for this, or where should I go?Also, why don't I see all the tabs that I can see in the tutorials?  I only have General, Appearance, Position and Options, but in the tutorial I see: General, Appearance, Position, Options, Actions, Format, Validate and Calculate.

We have fillable forms, I want to be able to add a row if the previous one is used. Is this possible with Acrobat or do I need Livecycle. Also, the forms need to be filled in on an Ipad.

I need to set/replace some values into a richText field, and I'm having a problem with the line endings.I am able to set the text, looping through the span objects, but I end up with a single paragraph, all of the line endings are gone.Even just setting the value to itself, without the code to do the text replacements, doesn't work:var spans = event.richValue;event.richValue = spans;orevent.richValue = event.richValue;I end up with the correct content, but all of the line endings are missing. And this is code that I modified from the javascript reference documentation. The code is in the Custom Format Script for the field.Can someone help me with an example of how to replace text (i.e replace '[NAME]' with 'John') in a richtext field and retain the line endings?

Hi All,Right now, I am creating a quiz form where I have a start button.The user has to complete the form within 30 mins. if it exceeds more than 30 mins all the fields should automatically become readonly and the form should save and close.So, I need the proper timing functions for this form.
