Hello, I am completely a novice at this, and borrowed part of a script from a sample online. I am working a stamp with a dialogue box prompting for the date, and defaulting to the current date if no response. I have gotten it to display the dialogue box and the default date. But, the results don't end up on the stamp. Hello Community,I have been trying to add a javascript extension to make a 'GET' request to a server upon pressing of a menu item created. On executing the folder level script, I got an 'object aggregate' error. I think it is not able to fetch data using the request. I tried searching for that error online but could not get anything. Hello everyone, I am a complete beginner in developing Acrobat functionalities. I had this task of adding a button to a toolbar which , on pressing would show a pop-up and I was asked to do this using Javascript. I successfully added the button to the add-on toolbar and found out that this add-on tool could be manually added to the toolbar with the help of customizing of toolbar. But now I am asked if this manual addition of the button to the toolbar could be automated using some script. I went through the Javascript API reference documentation and found that it has the execMenuItem method, but it can execute only specific commands (example: Save As). Could anyone let me know if this automation could be done using Javascript?( The manual addition I am speaking about is Going to View -> Show/Hide -> Toolbar Items ->Customize Quick tools )  I know that the button can be directly added on to the toolbar using plugins, but that would require development in C++ and w

Hi all - we have a couple thousand PDFs we need to export to PPT, and I am having trouble finding a way to do that in Acrobat Pro We've tried creating an Action in the Action Wizard to process multiple files, but this does not work because you still have to watch each file convert and then manually click to execute the next one, going through the same sequence of choosing what to export to and where to save, even though it is the same information every time. There is no way we can find to specify the settings in advance (what to export as, and where to save). We tried combining the PDFs into a single file to export, but the PDFs are different dimensions so that doesn't export to PPT properly Does anyone have any guidance? Would SmallPDF work better? Anything would be very, very deeply appreciated!  

I often will use the "Save as Other" function in Adobe, to change documents in pictures.  Recently, I noticed that when saving a document, the white in the background comes out tinted yellowy green.  Ofent these may be text documents originally created in word and then saved in Adobe.I did get a  new computer, and had to re-download Adobe onto it, so perhaps it is a setting that I am missing?I tried to use an online PDF converter (Zamzar) and it does NOT seem to have the same problem, so it is my adobe program's conversion of the PDF that is causing the issue, and not the PDF file.

Hello -  I am looking for a script that will allow me to merge two pdf files and place them in such a way that a source document page is placed in every other page of the exisiting document. For example, if you have an odd sequenced page number and even sequenced page number, and you'd combine them to form a 1, 2, 3... sequence.  Any help is appreciated!

Hi There,I was wondering if anyone could help me generate a code for a problem I have in Acrobat. I have two fields, one which will have a user entered number and another which will display a different number based on the user input.  For example: The user inputs (16) into their field and the second field would populate (3). Likewise, if the user inputted (8) the second field would display (-1). This was this code I've been working on but I cannot seem to get it right. The question is the same as the subject.  Is it possible to move to a specific page according to specific conditions ?  This question is not to change the page structure, but to change the displayed page.  Of course using JavaScript.

Hi,  I must preface that I cannot change the design or function of this form.There is an excel column of salutation containing mr, mrs, miss, ms & dr; that I’d like to transpose into the fillable PDF into four checkable boxes "mr, mrs, miss, ms" and "other" fillable input field (dr): I’ve grouped them under "Salutation", but they cannot be individually named as form fields to delineate them and the fillable field "other" cannot be grouped/linked into the salutation. The script would interpret the excel "Salutation" column and check the box thusly:Is any of this possible?  The next two fields are a work/home number:The excel column contains the 10 interger number with the 2 integer prefix followed by the rest of the number containing 8 integers.How can I link these two separate fields so that the first field transposes only the first two numbers (prefix) followed by the second field with the next 8?  Lastly is a single integer percent value wi

I have a PDF that is displaying a 3D object. There are some other fields that I would like to hide/show/relocate on the click of a button and expand the 3D area to maximize the viewer size. The Annot3D object exposes a rect property similar to a property that fields/buttons expose. When trying to set the rect property on the Annot3D object, it does not resize. I follow this same process when resizing/relocating fields and buttons and it works just fine. I have confirmed in the documentation that the field is both readable and writable. If I select the frame while using the "Prepare Form" tool, I can resize it manually, but that does not work for my use case - it must be done programmatically. See below code sample - the code works for altering the display state of the list box and the placement of the button, just not the sizing of the Annot3D object. How can I set the DuplexType Property of PDF to Duplex Flip Long Side using  Acrobat SDK preferrably through Javascript or IAC using VBScript?I am generating a PDF which needs to be set to Duplex mode by default, no matter even if it gets overridden in print dialog.Can it be achieved through PDDoc.SetInfo() method? I am concatinating two fields with a text string using the following as a custom calculation:event.value = "Words" + this.getField("D1").valueAsString + this.getField("F1").valueAsString; Field F1 is actually a numeric value.    I would like to chnge the fomrattign of how F1 appears for readinility.  Something as simple as making it bold would be enough, but also increasing the font size would be good as well.I do not want to change the formatting of "Words" or D1 so I don't think I can do with global formatting.Is it possible because F1 is a number I could use soem conditional statment to bold only numbers in event.value?

Hello,I am creating a diagnostic tool for PDFs and the output from the diagnostic tool is a tab delimited file.  I would like to use Javascript to add a flag for whether or not the document is read only.  By read only, I mean any of the following:1.  If you go to the location of the PDF file, right click on the icon of the PDF file, click Properties, and then on the General tab in the Attributes section at the bottom, the Read-only checkbox is checked. 2.  The file is open by another user3.  The file is lockedWhat has not worked is the solution offered in this post:Determining if PDF is read only​appRightsValidate({nValidateOption: 1});  Any ideas are appreciated.Thanks,Chris

Running this script in a custom calculation in a text field: event.value = "Words" + this.getField("Number").valueAsString; Would like the value for Number to come out as bold but not the "Words" portion.If it helps the "Number" is always a numeric value so don't need to get it as a string. Was wondering if that could be used to have it show as bold, that is, can the value type be used in a cusotm format script to make only numbers bold? Thanks all for your help. (P.S. thought asked this question last night, different wording, but is was 3am so maybe not)

I have a piece of script that was run by a mouse up event within a button field that used to work on a previous version of Acrobat Professional on a Mac (I may have had to change a setting or something to get it to work but I can't for the life of me remember what). I have upgraded to Catlalina and due to non-64 bit software being allowed I am now using DC but I am now getting a security error. Just open any form class in the designer view.2. Right-click on the toolbox and select "Choose Items...".3. Select "Adobe PDF Reader" under "COM Components". (if it is not there, then it is not properly registered in the Registry)4. Click "OK".5. Place the new toolbox item on the form.Now you automatically get the reference to "AxAcroPDFLib".I have never found an alternative way to add these types of references. 

I am unable to open Acrobat reader I have had it on my computer for 4 years and a dialogue box appears telling me an error has occurred with this code 930368 then I am unable to access any of my files 

I've created a PDF form in InDesign using the Digital Signature form field, but that field's requirement to create and configure a Digital ID will likely be confusing and onerous to users, and that level of security is unnecessary in this case. I would prefer a behavior like Acrobat Reader's "Sign document by typing or drawing a signature" > "Sign" > "Add Signature" where the user can just generate and place their typed or drawn signature in the proper spot. I've read elsewhere that functionality may be achieveable by replacing the Digital Signature field with a button that uses JavaScript to activate that tool, but I don't know the right syntax to activate that tool. After a ton of searching around, I've tried:app.execMenuItem("OpenApp_FillSignApp")... on a button's Mouse Up event, but that doesn't want to work. It's hard to believe that this is such a hard question to find an answer on. I regularly have to scan 5-10 pages at once but I need to name and save them each as an individual PDF file. When I scan all documents at once, I get a 10 page pdf file. I know I can then extract the pages to a file - but then I need to open them one by one to see what they are and name them.When using Windows Fax/Scan, I can set it up so each page is its own separate file, but it doesn't handle PDF's....The only other option that I have, is that the scanner I use supports blank page recognition. So if I separate each document with a blank piece of paper, it will automatically separate each PDF. This is just a little cumbersome.Is there another way that I'm missing?I just want to scan 10 pages and have it show 10 files that I can name and save individually... Possible?
