Hi dear community,   I have a really important XD document that I was able to open in another computer (which I don't have anymore). However when it try to open this document in my new computer this is the message I receive: "Sorry, we can’t open this document". I've tried everything mentioned in this forum in order to open the file, but it is impossible.   In addition, the last version saved of this document in assets.adobe.com is from October, 2019 but the last modification I made to the file was a week ago (before I changed my computed), it means it seems that more that a month of work has been lost.   I really appreciate any help in order to fix this issue.   Thanks,       <The Title was renamed by moderator>

So I notice now when I save a new Document:  CMD + SHIFT + S my document is saving to the Cloud and not Local. I guess there is no way to redefine the command? I use Google Drive to cloud save my work from a Local folder and do not need this functionality.    Is redefining Keyboard Shortcuts something in the pipeline?   {Renamed By MOD}

Hi! I'm facing this issue from long time I tried a lot and there is no related video on xd tutorials also. So when I create a full website page like homepage and i want to put some animations I couldn't find how to do. Like I know all theanimations when I make mobile app but in website design when I need to scroll the whole page I wanna swipe the cards and wanna put auto animation on the images I can't. Hy, my proposal is to make interaction triggers distinct, because when working on let's say 20 arboards with MANY triggers from one to another and if you make a mistake in one to find the wrong trigger in web of them is very annoying process. But if sound trigger would be red and all tap trigger blue you woud see it immediately.   {Reanamed By MOD}

Hi, Prototyping is currently not working for me. I can't connect the link to other artboards. I can't even make my main artboard the homepage.Does anyone know why this is happening? If so, how do I fix it? I currently have macOS Mojave and the latest update of Adobe XD (29.0.32.13).  

Please help me with this urgent issue, I'm totally lost. I was working on an XD document and saved it to cloud.Suddenly I lost access and can't open it again, I tried recent files but there's not response.I can't find it in my cloud documents. I have a link I used to share it, that still works, any chance I can retrieve it from there? Also, I think there's a chance that while i was working on my project I was logged in as some sort of temporary account or something like that? I remember that on the top right corner, where the profile info is, I saw some sort of a code or something like that with random characters and digits. Maybe I need to log in to that account again somehow? Thank you so much!Daniel

I'm working on Xd and I need to edit an image in Photoshop, but when I'm trying to open it from XD directly, I have error code 29.  I can open Photoshop by myself and I can click on any image on drive and open it in Photoshop. The problem is only inside the XD.

Hello,Since 1 week ago more or less, some of the prototypes I open using my computer through different browsers are shown badly: backgrounds full of dots or empty, missing layers, etc... I have tried to open it with Chrome and Firefox and the problem remains.I have tried to open it in another computers and, in that case, the prototypes work without any problem. I have updated Adobe XD and browsers in my computer (Windows 10), and the problem remains.I have tried to generate again the prototypes, but the problem remains. Any idea? Thank you!

Hello, I have a dashboard with a side menu. The side menu has two controls: - one it's a button that collapse the menu and turn it in a mini side bar. In order to do it I have simply duplicated the main artboard and then resized the side menu.- the other one it's nothing more than a menu button that once clicked opened a flayout menu that was animated using the overlay function. For it I've just created a new artboard only with the menu that overlayed in the main artboard.First I've duplicated the main artboard and in the new one I've created the collapsed menu, and then later on in a second moment, in the main artboard and only that, I've created a flyout menu with the overlay animation. Such animation was only present in the main artboard and not in the artboard with the collapsed menu.So far the two animations were working without interferring each others. I could collapse the menu without problems and get back to the original size.Because I had to modify the collapsed men

I'm looking for some top notch UI kits that can help me prototype very quickly.  With this I don't mean that it needs to contain very advanced graphics, but it needs to contain as many elements that would need to prototype rapidly.Since it's meant to be part of a design sprint flow, I basically have 1 day to prototype -in most cases- applications.  I currently have build my own ultimate elements file, but now I'm looking more into interfaces, modules en templates.Thus anyone that can hint me towards a great kit (doesn't have to be free), kuddos to you.

Hi,   Can I publish a standalone version of the prototype for sharing purpose. Maybe a zip file of the html. I am using Adobe XD CC enterprise version.  If yes, then would like to request in guiding me in the process of creating a standalone version of my work. Thanking in advance Diya.

We are attempting to simulate a user adding feedback to a number of records.  Say there are four records on the screen (a modal dialog for entering data) and when the user clicks one of three values this should visually change the record.  We would like to simulate the user not entering feedback, entering feedback on some records, entering feedback on all records, etc.  This is not a parent/child relationship as I've seen others suggest in similar questons.  Ideally the record is a componet, the feedback area is another component and the two together are in a repeat grid (for the four records). If we were to handle all of this through artboards and transitions the combination would create quite a huge undertaking.  

Dear XD team,   We have been testing using the Beta option with multiple designers within the same Cloud Document and are experiencing a lot of issues:   • Users tend to drop out and disappear a lot • The warning notification along the top that 'changes have been made elsewhere' appears and when 'Update' is selected the document reloads and wipes anything the user who received the notification has done. Voiding any co-op work.   These may or may not be caused by: • When the original author periodically hits save (a Ctrl-S twitch we all have from habit). • When the document has too many canvases • When the document has too many placed BMPs   I hope we can help to improve this feature, it is very exciting to have a workflow similar to Google Slides with multiple designers all beavering-away at the same time!   Cheers, Andy

Hi,I'm more of a UI guy than UX and I'm designing a simple app.A two dropdown system would save clicks but are they a good practice?Something doesn't feel intuitive about it.Just wondering other's thoughts on the matter.-bestKevin  

XD still has such bad support for font managers in Windows, considering how good Illustrator/InDesign/After Effects handle them I am very surprised by this?I have wanted to make the switch to XD from Illustrator for UI mockups for over a year now, but this one issue is ALL that is keeping me in AI. Having to install fonts on my system is tedious, especially when testing different fonts.Can this please be finally put very very high on the list of very very high important things to fix?Steps to replicate:1) Install font manager, such as Fontbase or Nexus.2) Activate a font, any non-system-installed font.3) Open XD, check that it is not available,4) rinse, repeat..If anyone has any workarounds other than system-installing them, please let me know.

So what i'm trying to do is change color of two shapes that has been subtracted each other, one is outside the circle shape i wanted to change the color, but seems both are together and i'm trying to change the color of 2nd shape (not the circle one).When i do subtraction black is changing to white too.i want both different colors.any help ?

Working with component states is frustrating. Every time I add a default state and then create another state that differs from the default, the change is never applied. If the instance state change is applied, it then applies the same change to the default. Also when I create a button and drop the opacity to 0 for the default state, I am unable to raise it for the instance state. The colour change does not come through.I’m metaphorically going round in circles.When I watch tutorials online, no one else seems to have this problem. Is anyone else experiencing this or similar problems, and how can it be resolved? It would be helpful to have a save button against each state so that you can save the change to prevent overriding. It takes up a ridiculous amount of time to resolve, if I ever do resolve it.Please advise.

I have designed multiple options for a landing page for my organization and have received comments from co-workers on each of them. As I begin to incorporate their feedback and distill these options into a single landing page, it would be helpful if I could print out the artboards with the comments (pinned and not pinned), similar to the comments on a pdf document. Is there a way to do this in XD?   {Renamed By MOD}

Hi I'm relatively new to XD so if anyone can help with this issue i'm having that would be great. So I have some clickable icons on a questionnaire and the first one opens and the page is in the right position, but then when I scroll down and click the same icon on another question, it takes me back to the top of the page and I have to scroll down again to see what I clicked on. Is there a way around this so the further you scroll and click the page position stays and doesn't take you to the top again? Thanks in advanceSabrina 

Hello there, I'm struggling with an issue for a while now: is there a way to share more than one prototype in the same XD file? Let's say I have several user flows in my file. I'd like to be able to generate a link for each flow.I tried to create a link with home artboard set on user flow A, then create a new link with home artboard set on user flow B.Unfortunately, in the end all sharing links have the same home artboard (i.e. user flow B in my example). I came to the conclusion that the only way is to have a specific XD file for each flow. Any solution ?
