Questions

Size to comp stretches everything.  and fit to width or height dones't work for everyrthing since they're differenty ratios.  If AE doesn't have a way to fit pictures to the comp without stretching then they need to fire every developer that works on AE.

I just installed AF Created a comp and tried to import an image the image is in the comp but I can't see itI tried with other stuff also like solids or text it seems I can only see it if the comp is on 100% zoom and it's not showing anything over the edges

Hi everyone,I’ve created several strokes under the composition file named "Stroke", and they were working perfectly within the main animation earlier. However, the strokes have suddenly disappeared from the main comp, they’re still visible inside the "Stroke" composition, but not showing up when combined with the other layers or the rendened video.This has happened twice now. The first time, they somehow reappeared on their own and I’m not sure what I did to fix it. Has anyone experienced this issue before or know what might be causing it? This is kinda driving me crazy...I’d really appreciate any insight!

Hallo liebe Community, wenn ich After Effects auf Version 25.2.2 update und anschließend versuche das Programm zu öffnen, bekomme ich auf meinem Macbook Pro (Apple M2 Pro) eine Meldung: das Program sei beschädigt.After Effects lässt sich weder öffnen noch lässt sich das Problem irgendwie beheben.Das einzige das hilft ist, wenn ich auf eine frühere Version downgrade. Falls jemand das gleiche Problem hat oder hatte und eine Lösung gefunden hat, würde ich mich über einen kurze Austausch sehr freuen.Viele GrüßeBenjamin

Hey Everyone,So I'm creating an animation in AE, but first I wanted to create a custom logo in Illustrator. It's a simple word and rectangular box outline. I had separated the text as individual shapes so that I could manipulate each one manually in AE. Having separated each shape into its own layer I saved the file. I only used ONE artboard. The background is obviously not black, and it's in RGB colorspace not CMYK. Going into AE I import the file with the following setup: All layers import. The problem is that they are all black when I open the composition.If anyone can please answer this question it would be greatly appreciated as I haven't found the correct answer after searching the forums for the last couple hours.Thanks!

There are unknown marks in layer. What is the reason?

What is the good mouse you suggest for Ae? I use regular mouse many times precision is impossible. For example if want to zoom in using Alt key and mouse wheel many times it jump in and display larger image than what I wanted to.  

Got an odd problem. Since upgrading to AE 2020, in the "Top" window, the y-axis arrow (of the camera) doesn't work. I can drag on the y-axis in the comp layers but not in the "Top" window. The z-axis and x-axis work fine.Been actively using After Effects for fifteen years so I'm not a rookie. All my layers are set for 3D space. I recreated my scene three times; one of the recreations was one layer and a camera (no luck). I reset all the settings in After Effects (no luck). I went back to my other computer with 2018 on it and it works great (as it always used to). Any hints???  

I am using it with Ray Dynamic Colour. But it may be an issue without it too.

Hello, im new to AE. I try to use rotobrush but When i pause on the second frame im not able to modify my rotobrush like on the first one and it doesnt change if i hit the button "freeze". Does anyone has an idea why i can't? everything look the same in the second frame except that the outline doesn't change. Im really stuck

This is ridiculous that i've now saved my projects in the new Adobe After Effects and can't use my plugins. There should have been clear warnings before updating that Rosetta will be gone. Adobe, bring it back. It is a crucial component to using your software and I can't think of anything more important that's missing. It's truly usability breaking

Hello there, I would like to know how to add a material to a 3d model (obj) that I  imported into aftereffects? i can add lights to it but i want to add or change materials

I m trying to do a simple text mask on a video.I have a video layer and a text layer on top that I convert into a mask (create / create masks from text).I copy this mask and paste it on my video layer, and it just create another layer with the outlined font.Can someone give me the trick to mask the video with the text outlined.Thank you

The meaning for Mask in Cambridge dictionary is FACE COVER. That means it hides. But in Ae mask means everything is hiden outside the masking region. That means inverse meaning in Ae. What is the reason for that?

Facing a problem with a specific AE-project. Everytime I try to close or import that project !After Effect crashes and shows following error.Is it possible to fix that file?

I'm trying the new After Effects 3d model import workflow on my Studio M1 Ultra and when I import a 12mb .glb model it all works fine. However, when I include environment light with cast shadows enabled and create a shadow catcher, the shadow appears for the first frame but then the render is stuck and doesn't render any of the remaining composition. Fast scrubbing along the timeline sometomes renders a frame or two but I switch to Draft 3d mode to be able to render the composition and the shadow is completely gone. Finally, when I want to do a final render of the whole composition, the rendering process takes forever and the progress bar (both in AE and MEdia Encoder) doesn't move at all, even after 30min trying to render a composition that is 30s long. When I deisable shadows completely the rendering works as expected. I know that the Studio Ultra M1 is no super computer but I I was al least expecting to be able to render shadows on the lowest setting. Hi All,Im a bit of a novvice in certain areas of after effects, I work for a small agency so enevitabley end up creating everything for a brand. I have recently seen this animation https://ashfall.studio/work/fifth-row, and other changing pattern animations. this one in particular caught my eye and and wondered if anyone had a good resource on learning to create such a dynamic looping pattern.It could be expressions controlling line widths and lengths in a very clever way but I would love some kind of tutorial on this. Im not sure where to start. Any ideas?Thanks 

Hi, I have a serious problem with a live concert footage (see attached) where one of the monitors recorded zebras from my GH5 camera settings, which means that a lot of the highlights are showing up with zebras. I've tried multiple ways of erasing them but it seems a lot more tricky than I thought, and unless I want to spend days editing every frame on photoshop, I'm wondering if anyone has a clue of what the easiest process would be... I've tried some bluring, wire removal, and others, but nothing really works and it's a very painful process so far... Obviously deleting zebrasfrom the main light spots is easier because i can sort of replace the lights, but it gets much harder when it comes to the small zebras on the skin or on the instruments... And because the light changes a lot, any rotoscoping other tracking is difficult because zebras will show up anywhere on the screen from one frame to the next...Anyway, any help appreciated ! It would save me a lot of time !

gente troquei a placa de  video do pc pra um Rx590 Series, mas não reconhce no after effects 2024 nem 2025 , entre tanto testei um gtx 1050ti e fucinou.  apois isso testei a RX590 em uma versão  do after effects  de 2022 e fucionou  ja pesquisei fis tudo que manaram porem  não fuciona!
