I have an Auto sizing box I made but I am running into a little problem. I imagine their is a fix but my experience in expressions is limited, and my searching online has yet to yield any answers for me.Right now I have a rectangle shape layer that is the child of a text layer. The box automatically resizes with the text using sourceRectAtTime() and I have an offset paths for the padding. These text boxes are sitting in the bottom right and bottom left corners of a text-safe zone I have for the final video and I want to keep them there when I edit the text.I am easily able to keep the left and right edge there by simply changing the text to right or left justified depending on the side of the screen they are on, but if I add a line or add hanging letters (j, g, y etc.) then the bottom of the box drops out of text-safe.I also am running into the issue of keeping a paragraph that is center justified, on the left/bottom corner of text-safe. I've set up a comp with a light behind a large number of grey solids aranged in a grid. The light shines through the grid and onto a perpendicular solid ground-plane. The thing is, the grid solids aren't casting any shadows. Now, they're in a precomp which is set as a 3D layer, but all the materials options are set correctly. All of the solids AND the precomp are set to cast shadows, and the ground-plane is set to accept shadows. The light casts shadows (and it works with other objects in the scene), but no joy on the solids grid. Here's an image showing two views of the scene along with the corresponding overhead view to show the camera and light placement. The horizontal line in the overhead view is the solids grid. Also, Trapcode Lux is on to visualize the light cone, but it's not to blame, since there are still no shadows with it off and removed from the comp. http://www.leonid-studios.com/Personal/ShadowTest.jpg Let me know if you can figure this out. I am a beginner and I downloaded this green screen from Adobe Stock to place an ad I made. However, there is no tracking when I open to AfterEffects (that I know of) and now I am following this tutorial below to learn the tracking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPg1Byc23q8 My trackers start getting jittery and I'm really upset because I spent money on this stock video. Is it true that for all particle-related effects,applying a freeze frame after precomposing the layer has no effect?(CC Rainfall , Particle World,CC Star Burst ,etc)I want to achieve a freeze frame effect similar to pressing the shutter,but the freeze frame function is not effective for this type of effect.

To be honest, I don't understand at all what happened. Everything used to work fine.The "grid" effect was superimposed on top when added to an additional layer, but did not overlap the lower layers. Now the grid has a background and it cannot be removed either by changes in the render and composition settings or by overlay effects.Please tell me what can be done?

Hello.(I am not an expert). I am tryting to remove a moving peron from a video. I am using the Generate Fill Layer on a Video in After Effects trough the Dynamik Link from Premiere Pro.It works perfectly, but the issue is, that it is generating since two days.  I dont know if the Visuals on the Video are very complicated. I am using a MacBook Pro M1, the Video itself  is 5 min. long and 4k (needs to be), the part where the person is removed is 30 seconds long.I dont know, if I should have done something differently, if I should cancel the process and to it differently again so it goes faster? Maybe wihtout the dynamic link and just putting the needed 30 seconds into After Effects. Or should I just wait?I will attach some screenshots.Thank you 😊 🙏.

We have a client using AE 2018 and we need to QC their jobs.I went to: https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2018-direct-download-links.html and at the bottom, it looked promising but the links no longer work.I had reached out to Adobe and they gave me a direct link to v.18 (v.2021). Hi, How can I make a smooth transition of the Wiggle Position effect? Currently if I start with one value of Wiggles/sec and want to transition it to another, the effect goes a bit odd and starts moving the object erratically between the values. I need to basically start Wiggle at an object at 0.5 Wiggles/sec and then have it transition at a point straight to 2 Wiggles/sec. But no matter what I do, the transition isn't smooth. If I try to hold the keyframe, it still makes the object jump briefly but noticeably before switching to 2 Wiggles/sec. Thanks,

I bought aftereffects the other day but I can't figure out how to say it when I go to the app I'm offered to buy it again who can help?

Was wondering if anyone has any samples or ideas regarding effect plugins that require other frames for processing?From what I understand, it isn't really possible to force AE to render sequentially, which is unfortunate, as in my case the processing requires processing from start->end sequentially. Is there a way to tell AE to "try to render this later" if it doesn't have the data it needs? Put simply, its a heavily optical flow based effect, that has to take into account the entire sequence, not just neigboring frames. (otherwise I know that could be a simple checkout) 

I have an after effects project file of another person i dont have the clips he used but I want to use my clips in place of it so when I replace it it shows black screen for that particular screen and if I place a picture instead of it, It works as the project file is followed. Please how to fix it.

Hello!I'm experiencing an issue in After Effects where a red banner with the message "Unable to solve camera for this frame" appears across my composition. Not that I'm looking for a solution to this, but I want to turn off the warning, make it invisible. Basically, where can I find the "turn off warning banners while rendering videos" option?Thank you!

Hi everyone,I have a workflow question regarding a 4K 50fps project that is quite heavy on effects and rather lengthy. The render times are going to be substantial on my Mac with 64GB of memory.Due to a delayed schedule and conflicts with another project on the same computer, I'm considering rendering the project in smaller segments, around one minute each, during breaks. I plan to compile these segments together later.I haven't attempted this approach before, so I wanted to ask: Is this a problematic method, or is it a normal workflow?My understanding is that I can set a work area and export each segment individually. Is there anything specific I should watch out for?Thanks in advance for your help!

According to the link below, I should be able to import these 3D file formats into After Effects, but they do not show up as available to import (grayed out), or as acceptable file formats within the dropdown list. This happens both in my After Effects 23.6.2 and After Effects 24.0.3 versions. All I've got here are those 3d rotation handles which are diagnal instead of round. How do I get back my regualr rounded handles?

Adobe shot of stock video MOV file  H264 codec. Plus shot of luma key result.  Part of  image is black on black background.  I'm trying to change background to a cream color.   Flower part is very detailed and there's a lot of movement.  Could use rotobrush but would take days since I'd have to make frame by frame detailed adjusts and it has to perfect.   Tried using luma key, color key - but get some holes in the black sleeve. Played with threshold, tolerence etc. No luck.   Linear,  color key turns sleeve white.  Also every work around I can think of. Video attached.   Been at this for 4 straight days.  Combed through everything on internet and out of ideas.  I'd be terribly grateful for your help (plus it's driving me crazy that I haven't been able. to figure this out!!).   Many thanks in advance.

So I downloaded this template for my current project in After Effects, but it turns out that some of the layers in the timeline look like this, and I don't know how to edit it. Can anyone please help me with that?
