Hi! I was wondering if there's a way to have the "primary - secondary" tool combo modified in Modeler like it was in Medium in VR. Can i switch the original Smooth Tool hotkey in VR to be the Warp Tool instead?
March 2024 has brought another edition of the Game Developers Conference, the premier event of the gaming industry. The Adobe Substance 3D team presented Substance Days at GDC, and we were once again delighted to be able to meet so many of our 3D community in person, in San Francisco. Big announcements during our keynote presentation this year included: Substance Connector debuted at GDC this year. Take a photo of any surface; convert this photo to a modifiable 3D material in Substance 3D Sampler – and now, thanks to Substance Connector, send this material directly to Unreal Engine 5. Materials appear in UE5 in real time; they’ll load in your UE5 project, and can be modified there, right away. Available for UE5 right now, it will also boost artist workflows incorporating Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, and Unity in the near future. Wes McDermott discusses Substance 3D developments in our keynote presentation. On this theme of connectivity, we also a

I'm trying to import a Benchy STL file as a mesh, but I keep getting an error stating "Failed to initialize stage with given file". This isn't an error with the file, I've downloaded multiple from different sites and it happens every time I try to import one as mesh. I'm on Windows 11 and I was initially using the newest Modeler version (1.7), but even went back all the way to 1.4.2, but still receiving the error. I'm following the same steps as the video tutorial here, but it's not working: File > Import mesh > Select File > Change unit scale to Centimeters > Import > Error Message

I am a newbie in 3D modeling. I recently tried to scan still life objects in daily life, such as fruits, plates, ornaments, vases, etc., which require higher texture accuracy. I already have a MIRACO 3D scanner and have learned to use it for scanning modeling. Now I want to use third-party software to edit and enhance the model. I would like to know what file formats Substance 3D Modeler supports for import and export. Is it possible free trial and what features it has (it would be better if there is a learning tutorial)
Can I bypass the system requirements for Adobe Substance 3D Modeler by obtaining a compatible Tablet? Will the tablet suffice on its own or does it still require a discrete GPU on the PC?
Can somebody let me know how to bring up a layers panel in Modeler so you can see the layers you have created .... I can't see any option for that. So you click on create a new layer.... where is it ?Thanks.
Any reccomendations for a Windows laptop that can run Adobe 3D apps? In looking at the system specs for the various apps it seems that GPU requirements drive the choices. Stager rendering uses only NIVIDIA for example. Also, i am assuming the specs listed in under the system requirements for the apps are for destop GPUs and hoping that the same named GPU (e.g., Geforce RTX 3080) laptop version. Big assumption since benchmarks are generally lower for the laptop versions. Laptop is a must for me. Also, how about the NVIDIA geforce RTX 4080 which seems to be a newer version of the 3080? Thanks - George
Is there a way to organize Stamps into folders? I keep looking... but I'm not sure there is. Like it would be awesome to have a folder for bits so its organized.... ZIf you use a lot of custom stamps it gets pretty cluttered.
New Latest 1.7 version have new update for performance panel. This panel has options to limit your framerate on desktop. Setting a framerate limit decreases Modeler's resource usage, and keeps hardware temperatures lower. But I can't see Checkbox as in image for overriding. Does it depends on GPU, I am on AMD Radeon RX 580.
Is there any chance to see Substance Modeler come on a version for Mac users? What is going on with this? Its been a century since ADOBE released it and until todaywe have no sign about a Mac version. I see it in my subscription but unfortunately there nothingfor us (Mac users). Does anyone knows something about? Thanks in advance.
Hello Substance, I have Modeler Steam version. After the update, the name in the Steam library changed from 2023 to Modeler 2024. NICE, Thanks! Will the name of the others also change to 2024? I also want to ask if any update would change the Modeler icon. In the Steam version, the modeler icon is still blue and white. I would like it to be the same as the others. Thank you.
How do I include reference images in Substance 3D Modeler on PC? The documentation only provides instructions for VR.
HeyI tried the program and liked it a lot, but personally I have a macDoes the program work if I download a vitual computer like windows 11 ARM og windows 11 x86?
Any reccomendations for a Windows laptop that can run Adobe 3D apps? I'm especially concerned about getting the right GPU. Laptop is a must for me. In looking at the system specs for the various apps it seems that GPU requirements drive the choicesfor a computer configuration. Stager rendering uses only NIVIDIA for example. Also, i am assuming the specs listed in under the system requirements for the apps are for destop GPUs and hoping that the same named GPU (e.g., Geforce RTX 3080) in the laptop version would meet the requirements. Probably a biig assumption since benchmarks are generally lower for the laptop versions. Also, how about the NVIDIA geforce RTX 4080 which seems to be a newer version of the 3080? I've used my older MacBook Pro to run all the Substance 3D apps (except, of course, Modeler). Looking to move to Windows to run various apps not avialable on Mac. Thanks -George
With OculusQuest3 already linked via wireWhen you start SubstanceModeler``VR not detected'' is displayed on the top right of the screen.I can't work in VR mode, is there any solution?Quest3 is connected via USB2
Downloaded a model from 3d assets just to fool around with modeler. After importing the mesh I can only see portions of the house depedent on how close or how far I am zoomed. Seems like the draw distance is very short. How do I adjust this?
PSA: For those looking for Substance Modeler for Mac, I just want to clarify that it's only availble on Windows. (I'm sure this is common knowledge within the forum community.) Unfortunately the landing page makes no mention of any platform limitations, and the download user flow is also absent of any explanation or information. Tapping "download" simply opens your creative cloud app on desktop and the modeler app is not present. There's no further information or explanation about what the download button did when you clicked it, why you don't see the app you're trying to download, or what to do next. Hope this message finds its way to any other frustrated users out there. Looking forward to the eventual launch of the mac version.
Does Adobe Substance 3D Modeler support Intel Arc GPUs?
Hey I am just learning to use modeler and trying to make a toaster from the tutorial. The problem is that after using the split tool, the edges of the different parts are jagged. I've also tried increasing the resolution of the object, up to 6 times, but it doesn't have much effect, whether I'm using a square, a sphere or something else to cut out the shape. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it?
I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Substance 3D Modeler. When I start the application I get the message 'Profile unavailable'. What should I do to resolve this? I can't use the application right now.
