hey guys! if you are even reading this, im having a problem with Adobe Animate's "Allow Smoothing" feature. For example, i Ctrl + A, go to Properties and change the smoothing, but it doesnt work! the result....  However, when done for singular images, un-ticking the box and all, it works! However, i dont want to go through 90+ frames ticking a box, and the way to do it for all the images doesnt work! If anyone has a solution, I will be so thankful!  

Everything was fine up until recently where I can't save any changes without it saying "please save under a different filename or location". Also if I make a new file, it creates an Autorecover duplicate. I've never had these issues until now. I don't know how to fix it. 

Hi community. I have a sequence of 100 frames of an animation. Each frame is 500 x 500 pixels. I import my PNG sequence on the timeline and then Select all frames, and generate sprite sheet. in order to get  a vertical sprite sheet generated I do the math: 100 x 500: 50000px Height, 500 width, but the limit is 8192, from what animate is allowing to be. Is there a work around this?  

Hi everyone, so I have a really annoying problem here. When I open one of my projects, in a few seconds, Animate crashes. Now this is a huge annoying problem since this is a resource file I have for all my animations. There has to be something within the .fla itself that makes it crash because it doesn't happen for my other projects. Could it be corrupted symbols since when I copied everything to a blank project, Animate still crashes. Trying to learn Adobe Animate. There are constant references to the F6 and other 'F' keys. I am using a Mac Notebook Pro which has no F keys at all. What to do please? 

This is a pretty easy question.  First, let me say that I am NOT a coder.  The work I do thus far is able to be done quickly and easily with Code Snippets.  However, there is not a snippet for "STOP SOUND" for a button.  The coding for Stopping All Sounds, is not what I need for this project.  Is there such an animal?  Would anyone happen to know where I could get a tutorial on this?  I have searched the web and YouTube, but I only find the tutorials for creating start and stop coding.   The thing is, I created an animated character that talks and blinks, which is all that I need.  The mp3 is streamed and everything works with no problem...until I want to move to the next page BEFORE the puppet stops talking.  As I said, if I use the code snippets stop all sounds, then the puppet on the next frame will not talk.   Any advice? Thanks in advance, Terri

Hey,I was carefully working on an animation and saving a lot of backup files, but my PC burned out and when I restarted and tried to open my .FLA files, they couldn't be opened anymore. It goes on to say, "Could not load scene into memory. Your document may be damaged." After hours of searching, I found this way to repair .xfl using Winrar, but it still didn't work. Most I didn't even open anymore (?). Please someone save my life, my deadline is today.

Hi AllI have a web-page (simple HTML/CSS page content) and I want to find a way of embedding that page into my movie (e.g. as a symbol or a frame, etc).e.g.Is there a way that I can do this?Perhaps it is possible to create an IFrame (within Animate) and load the web-page into it?  However, I dont know how to incorporate HTML (e.g. IFrame)Please note, I am new to Adobe Animate and I have been trying to figure this out for days and have had little / no luck (I have searched various forums with no luck).Any help you can provide would be appreciated.Rolento.

I have created a series of motion paths so 3 different arrows travel across the same line. To do so, I've created 3 layers (arrow_1, arrow_2 and arrow_3) and a guide layer for each. I copied the path I drew for the first guide to the other two so that each arrow follows the same path. On the animate application itself, the arrows follow the line one-after-another perfectly (with black path still being visible). To remove the black line/view the clip without the line, I "command entered" to open the preview that takes me to a web page. In this web preview, only the first arrow follows the path now - the others just move directly from the original spot to the end spot (in a straight line - not across the curved path).  

Hi community.  I need a tool (software) which generates PNG stripes, vertical or horizontally. So I thought of Adobe animate, unless there's another application anyone can recommend.  So I have made an animation in After effects, and exported the PNG sequence, and imported it into Adobe animate. All the sequence gets places into the stage. So can any good samaritan do a small tutorial showing whats the next steps from here to make a PNG vertical sprite sheet? PS: I also noticed some quality loss when I imported the PNG sequence in Animate. is this automatically done for quality compression? Thank you.   Example of PNG sprite sheet (vertical direction).    

I have some old fla files from 2007 that I want to open in Animate. When I try, I just get an error message. The only help I found was to try Winrar to repair the file. I followed the instructions, but that made no difference. Any other ideas? ThanksDan

Before I finish drawing the line it has these horizontal lines going through it. Is that a feature to make it run better and is there a way of turning it off?

I've made a custom palette with colors in one project file and I'd like to import it into another file. I've saved the CLR file correctly, but in the swatches menu I've used both "Add Colors" and "Replace Colors" and neither option works... When I click those options nothing happens.I have the latest version 23.0.2.I know for sure I've imported saved palettes into Animate. It seems like every update this program has, it gaslights you into thinking you can do something but now all of a sudden I can't? Ridiculous.I don't know what version I have to revert to in order for this to work but it's annoying and inconvenient. 

The .cer certificate that I purchased and extracted from a device cannot be converted to .p12 or .pfx.  What are the risks of self-signing and what are the other options?

I have a project in Arabic in Animate 2022:Arabic text is displaying incorrectly.I cannot find settings to change the layout or text direction, like in InDesign for example.During installation, there is no option to choose the English/Arabic version as in other Adobe products.This script does not work in the 2022 version: https://sourceforge.net/projects/arabic-letters/ Is it possible to apply standard methods to correctly display Arabic text?

I'm probably missing something, but I've been using my M1 Macbook for my projects, but whenever I open a project on my Windows desktop, this error pops up. It's probably b/c of the M1 chip, but idk how I can fix this problem.

Basically, I have made a refined asset of a symbol that I am using in an animation, however I realised that I would have to swap the symbol from the old one to the new one on every keyframe because I already animated motion with the old one Is there a way to swap a symbol in the whole document rather than just one keyframe?

I am looking for a good animation software that is free and that doesn't have free trials. When I saw I could still download macromedia flash 8 off of third party websites, I wondered to myself: "would it be illegal to do this?" Which is why I'm asking this question.

Hello everyone can anyone please help me with this, I have tried deleting and reinstalling animate, made it the administrator and keep getting this  

I am quite new at certain things in animate.I am trying to make a spinning logo png and I am doing so by just distorting the image thinner and thinner, reversing it to make it bigger, and putting it in a loop. the problem is that my logo, disappears when i make it too thin. Is this something to do with my logo? Or adobe? idk. ive tried to bring it into photoshop to make the design thinner there, and then bring it into animate but i cant match up the sizes properly.

Since Animate 2022-2023. Saving .fla files in our Synology NAS (SMB) will removed itself when using or quiting the application. Save to local or using Animate 2021 does not have such issues. How to avoid Animate delete .fla files by itself expectly ? Thanks 

HiI can see this was discussed backed in 2019 but I have virtually zero js knowledge. I understand the issue that chrome (canvas) wants the user to click before it will play my audio file and I added a button to do this. Still I get the "It must be resumed (or created) after a user gesture on the page" message. let root = this; this.mybutt.addEventListener ("click", playSound); function playSound () { createjs.Sound.play("mymix"); }  This is my attempt and it works locally. I can see there are posting about resummed and suspend AudioContext but these dont go quite simple enough for my level, ie I cant find the whole piece of code or tutorial. Can anyone signpost me where I can find the whole solution to what must be a very common requirement? Many thanksGrouse
