How do I scale or move an animation without affecting the keyframes or animation?

I was in this old thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate-discussions/html5-textarea-multi-line-text-in-animate-cc/td-p/9165270 and could not really find what I was looking for.I wanted to add a multiline text entry field into an Adobe Animate canvas doc.Animate has a TextInput component but it is limited to a single line.Eventually I found this: https://www.mathparami.com/including-a-element-so-that-it-displays-over-the-canvas-in-animatecc/ and I just wanted to share my own version.I like to make various objects (movieclips) that I can just copy and paste from one file to another and the movieclip just works (after naming the instance). I put all the code I need inside the movieclip. The movieclip is otherwise empty. So now I have a movieclip in the library called Textarea_Component.When I use it, I just drag it from the library and hopefully it works. Here is the code inside the otherwise empty movieclip: //***** Building a Multiline Textarea Input ***

Whenever i Export an fla file to a mp4 file, the file is enormously big for no reason, doesnt matter if the animation is complicated or not, i was working on an animation that is less than 30 seconds long, and the file size is 7GB! How do i fix/change this?

whenever i make a new symbol, the symbol immediately gets replaced by some other symbol. and it always gets replaced by the same one, and it doesnt matter what i insert in it, (watch video for proper explanation)

Im using  Adobe Animate 2024 and I've got an armature created (with icon of running man to the left of thelayer name (Armature_26)). Is this automatically a 'pose layer' ?  if so, why I am not able to see the 'joint speed' option, when I select a bone , in the properties panel ?

Animate doesn't allow to export a video containing an imported video.Case example: drawing or animating over an imported video. Animate won't export the video.One is forced to match the two videos together in an editing software, which is often an unnecessary passage.In ancient versions of Flash or Aniamte this was totally possible and extremely useful.Why can't it be done anymore?

Hi everyone,I’ve been working on a project in Adobe Animate and was wondering if there’s a way to use external templates or assets in it. I came across some great ideas for video editing templates by other platforms.Can something like this be used in Adobe Animate? If so, what’s the best way to import and customize it to fit Animate projects?

I just noticed the "deselect all" shortcut, command-shift-A has stopped working. When I try to overwrite it in the Shortcuts settings, it appears as command-shift-three dots  (see attachment), as if the "A" didn't exist on the keyboard.This doesn't depend on the keyboard layout: all the layouts I use have the A in the same position.The strange thing is: if I use "deslect all" from Animate's dropdown menu, it'll start working again. To stop, apparently randomly, again soon later. The issue has started since I updated my Mac system from 14.something to the latest 14.7.1. But I also updated Animate to the latest release, so I have no idea which is causing the problem, if either.I am using a customised set of shortcuts. I don't know if other shortcuts are also affected by this problem, they might very well be. Could trashing the preferences solve it? I don't remember where to find them, though.

In Adobe Animate, using the HTML5 canvas, I've created a boolean variable at the root level called var_grandparents. I've now created a movie clip. When the movie clip gets to a certain frame, it's supposed to reference the variable and, if the variable is true, start another movie clip playing, but I can't get it to see it. I just keep getting 'undefined'.I've triedalert(this.parent.var_grandparents) andalert(Object.var_grandparents)but I just get 'undefined'. Is there a way to reference it, please?

Is it possible to create a custom avatar from existing video, and alter what the person is saying/or singing via input text? If not in Animate, does Adobe do anything like that? 

I've been using Adobe Animate for a college class on my PC, and it was functioning fine until one day randomly, it opened up like this:Just this tiny little black screen. I can't interact with it, I can't move it, nothing. I have no idea what could have caused it to do this, and I haven't found any other reports of something like this happening. My other Adobe apps work fine, Animate works fine on my other laptop, but Animate on my desktop refuses to work. I've tried restarting several times, uninstalled and reinstalled adobe in its entirety twice, made sure my computer was updated and even tried checking to see if my graphics driver was updated just in case that was a problem, but nothing has worked so far and its starting to irritate me because I would really prefer to do my assignments on my desktop and not my laptop. If anyone has any ideas on how to solve it, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am going to restart my laptop window but I have some files in progress in my Adobe Animate on which I have worked a lot and spent time, so how do I save them so that if I restart my laptop window and come back to my laptop and I can continue working on these files, how do I save them?

This doesn't make sense. Why did Flash Player get the boot when web browsers now have more extensions than ever? Even a Flash emulator "Ruffle" can be used by Firefox and so forth but not the original Flash player? HTML5 sucks! Multiple files of third party scripts but we can not have the simple and small SWF file that we loved? It just doesn't make sense to me at all. Flash was so much fun. BRING BACK FLASH PLAYER! PLEASE!

How to import keyboard shortcuts into adobe animate 2020? I can export by copy clipboard and paste the notepad file. But I cant import this file in the animate 2020. Please help me. Sorry to my english.

Hi. I'm repeatedly facing an issue - probably a bug - which costs me a lot of unnecessary working time: E.g. I create a rectangle to highlight a header. I then convert it to a symbol and create a classic tween with effect: Classic Ease-Out - 100. At the start the tween the rectangle is then transformed to 10% with alpha = 0, in order to create a zoom in effect. When playing the classic tween I experience almost each time that the last frame jumps unnecessarily, even though the anchor point i centered. See the attached example. Is there anything to do/work around in order to eliminate this irritaing effect?Thanks, Thomas

I must first preface this with the fact that I am not very experienced in using animate. I have made essentially a doll using numerous symbols and all connected through the parenting tree. With some objects (not all), when I attempt to rotate or move their rotation axis, they move erratically, usually towards the bottom right. When I hit ctr + Z, the rotation/axis movement undoes itself, but not the erratic movement. This happens when I am attempting to use motion tween. 

Project is in HTML5 Canvas..I want the video to stop looking (which I know how to do this) BUT I want the button to still animate (when I hover over it it gets larger).  It seems it will do that, but then once it reaches the end, it stops because I did the this.stop() How do I stop one with out the other stopping?

Hey all! I am very new to adobe animate and am using it for a class that I have. I am trying to create a very basic puzzle, but when I use the "Drag and Drop" code snippet the project stops working when I test it. I have checked to make sure my puzzle pieces all have their own Instance names, but that particular code line just results in a syntax error when testing it in the browser. I am not editing or doing anything else to the code line, just adding it to a piece (PP1 in this case) and I get a white screen when it loads in the browser. Is the code itself bad or am I doing something wrong to cause this?

This seems like the simplest thing in the world, but I can't figure out a simple way how, if I'm currently in a symbol, to get access to the element that IS the current symbol I have open, on the timeline of the symbol that the current symbol is in.The way I've done it until now is really clunky. There has to be a better way. Currently, I use document.exitEditMode() to exit into the parent timeline, and use document.selection[0] to access the currently selected element. Is there a way to do this without exiting the symbol?

Hi I want to move my animation to a new position. But if I select every frame it moves only from where my time indicator is. How can I move everything to a new position?

When I test my video in aminate, the visuals (especially test) are crisp, but my media encoder MP4 export is softer.  Output quality is 100%, are there other formats I should be paying attention to?   Would Premiere Pro improve results? Thanks
