I usually like to show video and here is the video. https://youtu.be/wLGLhulj-70You see that I have dayselectionscreen a big large movieclip in the wholescreen, inside of it are little 'dayselectors', where you're going to be able to select what day of the game you're on, the left right page buttons are programmed to increase/decrease 'page number', each day selector is going to show you what day on each page 1-24, 25-48, 49-72, and until you get tired of clicking the button, leading you to believe there are going to be infinite days/scenarios. My coding works to generate day numbers, but it does not properly update the label on each day selector so each day selector says something like "" "1" or "111". But you can at least see that the variable going into the text box is correct because, I use trace commands. So what is causing the textboxes to show 1's, and not show correctly?

I have attempted every method I have looked online for, but none of them have seemed to work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, downgrading to an earlier version, and cutting up the video into smaller chunks, but it always goes white screen. This itself is only 45 seconds, so I know it is not the length. 

The first issue is the swf output not matching what it's in the timeline of the program. It works correctly in Flash CS3 but I'm looking to stick to Animate if possible.It's just two images, 2 layers, and 1 frame. If I do the same thing in Flash CS3, I get the left image and I don't understand why this is happeningThe second issue is figuring out how to attach the image that I want to use for the mask, to a specific object in the masking layer. For instance, if I move that graphic out of the image dimension for the layer attached to it, nothing is shown. So if I have motion going on this will be an issue. I'm assuming this could involve, instance names, and registration points, but I don't know how to apply this

When I open and work on a file or start a new one it all works fine as I'm working and drawing but all of the sudden it crashes.

Hi,Really new to using Adobe Animate, so apologies if this is a dumb question.I want to create interactive training videos in animate (i.e. couple buttons, pick one and it displays a training demo) - this part I can do.What I want to know is how do I export/publish this in a file type that is compatible with confluence? So that I can place that video on a confluence page and users can interact with it directly from that page, not need to download or play seperately.Has anyone done this and if so can you let me know how? If you can ELI5 this it would be super appreciated cause I am new new to Adobe Animate.Side note: This is for work purposes so needing to install or download addons is difficult. Hola a todos! Desde que me instalé Aniimate tengo problemas de exportación. Cuando intendo con h264, me sale que MEdia Encoder no puede codificar. Cuando intento con formato quicktime, se exporta un archivo vacío, de 0 kb. Es frustante, no puedo exportar nada de lo que creo. Me pueden ayudar por favor?

Why is Adobe animate crashing every time I try to change the width of the stroke on the property panel,  If I make a line with the paintbrush tool, line tool or whatever and then I try to change the width, the software crashes. Why is this happening?  

Hi,So I've installed Flash Professional CC and honestly I'm enjoying so far, although there are some features that didn't please me like slow respond when using brush when using Cintiq 13HD. I also noticed that when I use the brush with Cintiq, the button for brush pressure is missing. I need to know how can I enable brush pressure in Flash CC. There is an error with adobe animate. I am unable to publish when hitting a certain file size. when i do error #2136 is thrown. i have repeatedly tested all resources and code and have confirmed them to be free of errors. adobe please address because i am very unhappy that i paid for this program only to be hit with this crap

When I draw with the paint brush tool weird hatched lines apear instead of the brush style I selected, but once I lift my stylus it changes to the brush style i had selected. I'v tried changing the brush style and while it says theres that brush style is selected the hatched lines still apear. I'v attempeted changing the spacing  and closing the program neither worked.

A Resolve Library Conflict dialog appears and blocks my process. I'm curious if there is a way to interact with the dialog by JSFL script. I'm looking forward to your support. Thank you so much,Vietanh.

This issue could have been around for a while, but I can't seem to apply more than one single transform effect to my symbol. Anyone got a work-around?I haven't used 9-slicing a lot with Animate... but I'm familiar with it in Illustrator and it definately works in there! All my apps are up-to-date 😉 *I learned to illustrate with Flash close to 20 years ago, so I'm very comfy with Animates drawing tools and the illustrations in the grab are all lines with gradients (no bitmaps).

Hello!I'm trying to have the ability to make a font smaller if a variable string is longer than the textfield (function updateFormat). I've been able to do it easily in the past, but this time there is an issue. Problem is that it is on a movie clip that is clicked on by the user (and there are multiple instances of said mc on the stage). So I want to have the function execute on the textfield within the clicked instance of the movieclip when it is clicked. I thought just having the code use currentTarget would be fine; however I get syntax error 1084 as Animate expects the right parenthesis before the dot. Any thoughts on how I can make this work? Por accidente se apago mi computadora con mi archivo abierto, pero al volver a encenderla e intentar abrir mi archivo, este marca un error y no me deja abrirlo, como si estuviera corrupto, Ya intente de muchas formas pero no puedo recuperarlo, porfavorr ayudaaaaa 

I can't save my work in Adobe Animate. I get a warning that won't let me save it even if I change the name. I cleared the cache and it didn't work. Can you help me? thank you 

Hey everyone, just thought i'd post a few things i've ran into after updating to 23 over the last big project. These are things I did not really have a problem with in 22. 1. The asset warp tool is more unreliableOn multiple, larger warped assets spanning over 60 seconds long (at 30fps) of warped asset tweens, copying and pasting tween frames can randomly break the link to the asset with the tween. The warped asset will either change it's association to the next warped object in the layer below or above it, or the linked asset will show '---' and become invisible. Because there is currently no way to right click > swap warped asset with another like a symbol, the animation is corrupted. This doesn't happen on 22 when copying and pasting large warped assets. 2. Undos can become corruptedUndoing when a history path includes entering an exiting a symbol can corrupt the undo history. Pressing ctrl+z past this point will start giving undesired behaviour, where undos in a symbol

Hi Adobe Community,It's about the Asset Warp ToolMy files contains animated PNGs (with the Warp Tool). Everything was fine during the project in 2023, but I opened my files recently. The PNG & meshes are completely ''distort/torn'' now for no reason, cause I haven't touched it since. Could this problem come from software updates? Or for another reason that you noticed on your side? How to fix this problem?Thanks you all : ) 

I have just set up Adobe Animate (and some other art/animation programs) on my brand new Surface Pro 7 (i7/16GB). My pen arrived this morning and I have just started diving into the programs to test functionality, and almost immediately encountered an issue. Double tapping the pen in Adobe Animate only seems to register 1 out of every several tries. This happens when trying to enter and exit symbols, and also on layer text renaming.Has anyone else encountered this? This did not happen on my previous machine (Surface Pro 2) nor did it happen on a trial Surface Pro 2017 from a few years ago. General clicking and menu navigation seems fine, and outside Adobe Animate, I have not encountered any problems. I'm able to enter folders in File Explorer without issue, and can double tap to rename layers in ToonBoom perfectly fine as well. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution? Hello, I have downloaded Adobe Flash CS6 from prodesigntools, and I'm wondering how I can activate it. When I open up the installer im given the options of inputting a serial number (which I don't have) strating my subscription, or installing a trial version. I have no idea what I should do since I don't have a serial number, I obviously don't want to use the trial version, and I'm not sure what starting a subscription would do. I currently have a subscription for Adobe Animate CC if that means anything. If anyone can help em out here, please do!

Caught in a circle here when publishing an AIR desktop app that is using NativeProcess. In the publish setting s in Animate I tick JUST the ExtendedDesktop, so that NativeProcess will work. When I test my app in Animate (Ctrl-Enter) it works fine - a python .exe  I'm connecting to through NativeProcess works. However, if I try to publish the app in Animate, I get this error:Error creating files. When I'm exporting frames from Animate (usu. a PNG sequence from export video/media), if I'm exporting 10 or more frames, it actually renders the frame range I export in the settings. If I'm only rendering one or two frames, it instead renders an entire 150-frame sequence (a lot of duplicated frames) even when there are only two frames in the scene. Is there a way to get it to behave, or do I just need to plan on deleting 148 files every time I render?

Hi everyone! So I've used Animate for a while and this is the first time I have ever seen this issue. I just got a new computer (an Acer Aspire TC-885-UA91, to be specific), hooked up my Gaomon display tablet to it, and booted up a project only to touch the screen and see the picture attached. Basically, wherever I touch with the pen, it creates a line straight down. I thought that maybe this was a problem between the Gaomon and the computer, so I tested this on Illustrator, but the brush tool worked fine. Maybe it's RAM, so I replaced that 16 GB, but nope, still going straight down. I once got it to draw correctly, pressure and everything, but I have no idea what I did differently that time. Couldn't recreate the magic. Let me know if someone knows what's up! I'm sure I'm not doing something right. Thanks!

I have been painfully trying to get past this disgusting error for months now. Error: Error #2136: The SWF file app:/myaafile.swf contains invalid data.at flash.display::Sprite/constructChildren()at flash.display::Sprite()at flash.display::MovieClip() the sad part is that i have determined that it is nothing ive done wrong but a bug with adobe animate. how did i come to this conclusion? through hours and hours and hours of diagnostics. my FLA file is 667,191 KB. sure it is huge but that shouldnt make a difference. yes it takes nearly 10 minutes to open in adobe animate. the error first appeared when my file had a huge issue. it must have happened with the sh!tty adobe animate not saving correctly and corrupting my file. basically, ALL my actionscriptcode just magically disappeared from the file. no im not kidding, ALL OF IT just gone, over 200,00 lines of actionscript just GONE. so i went back months and pulled up an old version i had backed up that i knew had been working at

Hi,Ive been trying to learn how to use animater, and from everything ive watched its alot eaasier to make characters on illistrator. Ive followed to directions of importaing every single piece of the character from illistrater through the assets. When i load them in animater, i have to rebuild the character, when i go to create the warping it will select one area of the body but not work on others, i cant link any of the body parts together.  - How do i import my character into animate without having to rebuild?- How do i get the warping tool to work on all body parts?- How do i get all body parts to connect through the warping?  Thanks,J
