i was following along a tutorial for An and they used the pen tool, but when i tried to select it, the pen tool was completely missing! im pretty new to animate, so sorry for my ignorance. ive attatched an image of what my window looks like.

I recently got Adobe Animate 2023, but when i export the animation as a video, it plays a black screen with some glitch. I tried, uninstalling and installing it, i downloaded a different version and tried exporting other files but nothing works 😞

Hello. I have a problem I hope you can help me with. Adobe Animate keeps crashing for no reason, and I don't know how to fix it. It crashes when I import an image to the timeline, create a movie symbol and other times. I don't think it should crash just because of that. Does anyone know what to do? I have tried to turn off/on my Mac btw. 

I find the keyframes I draw in Animate is embedded as base64 encoded strings, but I want them exported as png files for further editing. But I can't find the option in those publish settings.

Is it possible to create a game that has inventory in html/canvas javascript?I wanted to make a game like the ones where you have a room and the user chooses the furniture and colors to decorate it, but it would be with javascript...

Hi Everyone,  I am having some issues with trying something new with my e learning and need some help. In Animate I created an interactive lesson. Basically clicking on objects to move other objects and some timeline navigation with some simple UI buttons. My question is on how or if i am able to export this in a way that I will be able to use in my LMS.  When I publish, I get a JS and chrome link. Thinking that I may be doing something wrong, I feel it should give me an HTML output as well as a JS output which I can simply embed the JS into the HTML with a <script> tag. Ideas?

New user here.  Going through my second tutorial.This is the Fish animation.  I attempt to export to *.mp4 and it stalls at 60%. (Never exports)If Adobe Animate can't export and create mp4's why am I paying for it?I didn't have time from when I started my 1 week free trial to now, so am a paying subscriber.Now My first hour into using Animate I have seen 2 bugs.The first appears to be minor, but not being able to export to *.mp4... that is my entire point of trying the software.

I'm working on a Web Banner project where I need a mp4 video clip to play under animation.Is there a work around to force the video layer under other layers?

Everything was working fine at first. Then all of a sudden, whenever I would try to place something on the stage it wouldn't show up. I checked the timeline and the keyframe showed that there was a change (Black Dot). Next, I checked to see if the layer was visible... it was. Next, I zoomed out and realized that everything that I placed on the stage was being offsetted to the far right off the screen. I closed animate and opened it backup again, I resetted the preferences and still no change. My issue is that whenever I place something on the stage, it has an offset to the far right. It doesn't go where I place the cursor. How do I fix this?

I like the onion skinning feature, but with it's defaults I find it awfully hard to know what's what. The colors are too confusing and I can't tell between whats before and what's after. Any advice to make this feature more easier and clear to see visually. Much appreciated. Thank you. 

Can someone tell me if layer parenting is possible when outputted to mobile app?Works in interface and when played,but all parents are lost when in debug mode or published to phone. I have a code that selects the current frame as follows:var dom = fl.getDocumentDOM().getTimeline(); var currentFrame = dom.currentFrame; dom.setSelectedFrames(currentFrame, currentFrame);This is a normal executable command, but when I had to use MMExecute to execute this command in swf, an error inevitably occurred.When a symbol is selected, all frames in which the symbol is located will be selected. At this time, the command will be invalid.Unfortunately, I have to select the symbol before executing subsequent commands.I tried several methods and still could not solve it. A few days ago, I deleted "RECOVER_" files from my computer and also some images which were part of the files, and then they got corrupted. So I recovered the "RECOVER_ files and today as I was saving them... they got corrupted AGAIN. And now I cannot access some of the files anymore because they keep saying "a problem occured when opening" Can you guys help me?

Hi all, I have condensed this example to the following issue. As part of one of my jsfl scripts I am trying to break apart a text object in a scene and then add some keyframes, etc., but I can't seem to execute any of the Timeline methods after running the .breakApart(), including just selecting frames. See the following example (run on a simple scene with text object selected) - if I leave out the last line it runs normally, but with the last line included, the application just terminates with no error message.Same applies for inserting frames, or anything else I've tried to the timeline. var tl = an.getDocumentDOM().getTimeline(); tl.insertFrames(100); tl.setSelectedFrames(0, 1, true); //have to do all this timeline stuff BEFORE breakApart - why?? an.getDocumentDOM().breakApart(); tl.setSelectedFrames(0, 1, true); Any ideas? Am running the latest version of Animate (24.0). Many thanks.

Hello!I'm experimenting with a simple 2d stick animation. I have rigged the stickperson so each appendage section controls the section below it. One of my sections (lower leg) I can no longer rotate using the Transform Tool. And when I select the lower leg, the object now has a thick black border around it. Normally the transform tool shows as a thin black border. Please see the attached image. Transform is set to "free transform". I checked the object's properties and everything seems normal. Can't figure this out, please help!

I've got a graphic symbol on a layer with a keyframe at the start of the timeline. A few frames later I created a new keyframe, moved the symbol to the right, and created a classic tween on the frames between the two keyframes. When I do this, the symbol in the first keyframe gets removed from that layer and moved to a newly created layer directly below it, which holds the tween (with no second keyframe on this new layer, so the tween doesn't actually do anything). The symbol is still on the original layer only on the second keyframe.  What am I doing wrong for Animate to be moving symbols and creating new layers instead of making the tween on the original layer? (I tried with a motion tween and it does the same thing)

So I just started using adobe animate a few days ago and was working on a sprite animation. Everything worked as it should, but now I tried to work on my animation and my audio dosent play at all unless I test my movie. I tried deleting my audio files and putting them back in, converting to HTLM5 (or whatever its called lol), restarting my computer, and the adobe software itself, but nothing seems to work and i dont know what to do anymore. If anyone knows how to help with this can you please shed some light on it for me?

Eu basicamente quero gerar umas animações com áudio gerados por IA só escolhendo o background e personagem e deixando o software fazer o resto, bem a funcionalidade do Adobe Free Animator hoje. O problema é que para áudios mais longos a versão free tava e não gerar nada, então assinei a versão paga para não ter esse problema. Só que não consegui descobrir de como utilizar dessa forma mais simples que nem tem o Free Animator, de só botar o áudio e ele mesmo animar no sofware pro, existe como fazer isso nele? Sempre que tento aparece um menus complexos de animação que não são meu objetivo.

I'm new to Animate so maybe it's me, but my version it's so buggy and lacks some things. Mainly on the propoerties panel, that howevere i place it on the screen it has like 1/5 of it cut out for some reason. Plus I did not manage in any way I've tried in reaching the possibility to change the brush. So yeah, apple silicon porting is surely not working on my M1 Max.

I converted my adobe animate file to a html5 version, now when I preview it, it is showing a blank white screen. I deleted my code/edited it there is no difference still shows a blank screen What do I do???

Hi, when adding an Input text for someone to write on it, I want the text box auto resize while they are typing, mainly when the user types Intro and the line moves up, but without dissappearing within the text box, but just resizing it.

I'm very new to Animate coming from Photoshop and Illustrator. Is there a way to turn on anti-aliasing in the Preview/Scene Window? My strokes will have anti-aliasing as I'm applying them, but become sharp after. The zoom level doesn't make a difference, either.Similar conversations I've seen were about exporting, but I'm nowhere near that step.
