Hi! I'm working on an animation (Adobe Animate 2024) with lots of objects in one layer and I need to convert them into separate symbols in order to create motion tweens etc. I can't figure out how to convert multiple objects into separate symbols as when I select them all and just hit "Conver to symbol" it creates a single symbol with all the objects grouped together, but I need them to remain separate.  Feeling pretty stupid by now.. Any ideas? Best wishesRando 

I am a HS animation teacher. After 3 years of teaching myself animation I am still an a novice. A student and I have been trying to figure out how to make our symbols move in a loop motion using a tween. We are knowladgable about classic and motion tween. We have been trying to use a classic motion guide but the object skips the loop part and continues to follow the path. Does anyone know any solutions to this?I have attached a video and image.

I made a project but the preview looks one way and whenever I do the Ctrl + enter it shows a messed up thing that does not sync the way I did

Hello, I'm having issues with the brush tool in Animate CC 2022.As you can see in the video below, tried in other software to compare.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have used the coding action script SoundMixer.stopAll(); to stop my song when going to another frame but when I go back in the previous frame the song doesn't play. I have to be at the first frame again for the song to play. How do I want to make the coding only stop when it reaches the desired frame and return to the frame where there is a song, the song will play again. Actually, I am making a learning application that has three parts is learning, quizzes and games.

Evening lads. I've spent a few days working on a project, and I want to include a camera so I can change up some scenes. Whenever I try to test the movie however (Ctrl + Enter), the movie plays at the incorrect size, which messes up what shows on the screen. Say I want a line to draw across the screen, and it's the same size as the stage. If I test the movie, it shows the lines ending before they touch the sides of the screen. Stuff like this is making it difficult to tell if I have the camera located where I want it to be. The stage is supposed to be 1920 x 1080, and I can tell the movie is playing at different proportions than this because when I test the movie and manually adjust the corners of the window myself, I can make the window smaller for quite a bit before the actual content begins to resize.

So I'm working on an animation and I finished the project, and all that's left to do is add some pictures of text that fade in over the top of the animation. To do this, I created a classic tween, the first frame using the Alpha color effect to be entirely transparent, and the next frame being completely opaque so it fades in like I wanted it to. This effect looks fine before I export it. However, when I export it, I get a series of errors and my export is all messed up. The exported video's camera tool doesn't work anymore, along with the text not fading in, and simply appearing. How do I fix this? These are the error messages I get when exportingI've also attatched what my export looks like when I don't add the words, and what it looks like when I do add the words.

I want to display the readings of a multimeter in HTML5 Canvas project. So I need a font which resembles the digital numbers shown in an actual multimeter or digital clock. Is there such an Adobe Font?

I'm trying to teach my students to use more vector and shape based animation to possibly speed up their process so they can create more animation content faster. After all, this is small part why traditional died (I know there's a vast history of why :). Are there any youtube teachers with free courses online that really go deep into type in using Animate CC? I've been watching tiptut alot but it looks like he also traditionally draws a lot in his videos. Thank you in advance for the recommendations. 

Hey all. New to the community and Animate and wondering if I can get some help on a concept I'm having trouble teasing out.Basically, I'm trying to create an informational graphic that allows users to click on one of four buttons and show different corresponding information in the main circle —images attached of the four graphics with filler content. In actuality, the real graphic will show different intertnal text in the big circle whebn each of those four top buttons are clicked. I had originally created motion tweens for each layer going from 0 to 100 on the Alpha and back to 0, with two stop actions, then made the four top  buttons trigger each tween accrodingly. But that breaks after two layers, I realize now. I'm hoping there's a better way to animmate and make the big circle info change with the top buttons being clicked? And thanks in advance, all!

Hey, all. I'm wondering how best to mask along a path (I think that would be the right terminology).See atatched—I know how to animate a motion tween along a custom path, so I know how to make the leaf of the vine move like it's growing, but how best would I mask a path along the underlying vine to make it look like the whole thing is growing as one?Thanks in advance!

Last year I made an animation. It worked fine with code and using the camera layer/tool. Ive reopened the file this year to make some changes. The "Do you want to turn on advanced layers" box appears. If I say "yes" to this, then all the references in my scrips to my movieclips stop working and throw up an error Access of undefined property xxxxIf I turn off the Advanced layers function, my scripts work but then I can no longer use the Camera tool. Is there anyway to install last years version of Animate CC? Or how do I reference all my movie clips in my code with advanced layers turned on? I don't really need advanced layers...just the camera feature.This is really frustrating.Any ideas?

This is my first post so uh yeah...So when I try to use a Vcam, it doesn't show in the "Test Movie" or when I export it into Swivel and it shows the whole picture, not just the section inside the camera.I'm not that new to Adobe Animate, and I dont really understand the ActionScript code behind itI've tried different Vcams, like Jazza's Vcam and Shuriken's Vcam and both of them don't work, and speaking of Shuriken's Vcam, I used it before and it worked, but now it doesn't.If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!

I worked on mine for a whole month and then my program stopped working and I couldn't even log into my project. After that, I decided to transfer the project to another computer via a USB flash drive. And as a result, I take and delete my 2 projects to the trash along with the Adobe Animate program, and then I clean it up. But when I insert the flash drive into another computer, it writes that it needs to be formatted and all the data has disappeared from it and now there is no access to this one, it is damaged. And it turns out that I have no projects not on a flash drive or on a computer. What should I do? Adobe Animate program.

Ok seriously. I like using a Vcam more than the camera tool because its just easier in my opinion and recently I have been having problems with my vcam. So at first the vcam would work perfectly fine, I would have no issues and it would work the way I want it to. But the moment I add a color effect on literally anything, suddenly the vcam stops working entirely and it does not even tell me why.And YES I know a salution to getting the vcam working again is by turning off advanced layers but then I'm unable to add color effects. Please help, I'm going insane!

When Import AI(adobe illustration) vector graphic, animate change movie clip symbol. But It's so annoying and unacceptable(Because this make some trash from library and symbol decomposition work.) I have not experience that before 2023 version. 

Hi, can someone tell me how to change image.jpg to base64 code in HTML5 canvas file? Animate generates JS with images in this form: {src:"img1.jpg", id:"img1"},{src:"img2.jpg", id:"img2"}, etc.Is there any way I can change to base64 code?This is an HTML5 animated banner.

Alright, as you can see in the video, I'm trying to use a classic tween to make the arm go from one place to the other, (I do this by swapping the symbol because I got a library full of assets) but when I do this, I have to flip the arm vertically because it's the wrong way round, and because of that it does move but then it flips the tween. Please give any way to fix this!

When I create an armature using the bone tool, all of the objects (drawings imported from Illustrator) I draw the bones over seem to move to the armature layer. As a result, hiding the armature layer hides the objects/drawings that they're attached to.This also prevents me from editing the different objects' layers individually, as they are all on the same layer.This does not seem normal to me.Thank you for your help.

How do I call class file in action (javascript) in Animate with codes.

I have an issue when exporting a  file which shows in photoshop as 300 Dpi but when I check the export in bridge ir shows as 72dpi ?? any ideas why

Is it possible to have a classic tween with easing that goes over 100% at any point of its easing curve? Like in the below image: For example, I would like to have a classic tweened symbol "Pop" into existence, but mid-way through the tween have the symbol become bigger than what it would be on its final keyframe in the tween (i.e greater than 100%).This would give more emphasis to the Pop animation. But I don't think it's possible with one classic tween alone unless I'm mistaken?If it is possible, it would certainly save me time as I use this type of transition a lot for symbols and I would like more flexibility than what I currently have with the pre-defined easing types that animate already provides. Perhaps motion tweens would be better for this?

I'm a complete beginner, so forgive me if I describe this poorly. I made a simple animation with rotating gears in Adobe Animate. I also added some static items. My hope was to export this as an animation that could play on loop on PowerPoint presentation slides and in a social media toolkit made for Canva. However, the static items seem to be appearing a split second before the actual animation, so the animation won't loop without the gears disappearing for a split second before resuming. Is there something I can adjust to make this a true looping animation?

Properties > Frame > IK Armature > Options > Style > None/LineThe History panel does not display the code of these operations.Perhaps someone knows how to access these parameters?
