My Bridge program has been crashing and freezing consistently for months. I have done everything the articles on the Adobe website suggest and have read through a lot of the user comments in this forum for help, but nothing has worked. I reached out to customer support today for assistance because I'm at my witt's end and was shocked by the lack of support I received. It took almost twenty minutes just to get a clear response from a customer support employee to begin troubleshooting my issues. I repeatedly asked for a contact phone number so that I could expedite customer support, but was not given one, instead I was sent a number of articles, which I had already read and did not help my issues. The communication was sporadic and unhelpful and nothing was resolved. I am completely frustrated at this point and still don't have a working system. If anyone has any tips, I would appreciate it. I use Adobe Bridge to color correct camera raw files. It can take anywhere from 30 to
I can't write metadata to DNG files, either on my Hardrive or Networked files. I'm on the latest Bridge (10.0.3.138) latest Mac OS (10.15.3) and latest Camera Raw (12.2). I've also recently reset my Bridge preferences and restarted my computer. I can write to other files like jpg and png. Thanks!
Problem started after I updatet my Keyword list from a security file. There is no longer a connection between Bridge and Photoshop. However: I can open the Photoshop files in Explorer. I suspect the error to be located in the setup of Bridge.
Dear Adobe: It's not clear how to use the "feature request" page to log a request any longer, so I'm posting this here:Please DO NOT have the "Copyright Info URL" photo metadata field turned off by default in Adobe Bridge. Yes, for those of us who already know it's there, we can go in and turn this on, but many will not even be aware they can do this. Especially given that Google has added this as a way to point out to others that an image is "Licensable" (see https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/image-license-metadata for details). I would highly recommend that all five of these photo metadata fields being used by Google Image Search be visible in the Metadata Palette and/or File Info by default. Google Image Search is currently using the values in the Creator, Copyright Info and Credit Line fields, and "Copyright Info URL" (aka Web Statement of Rights field, which is labeled as “Copyright Info” or “Copyright Info UR
Hi I am new to Bridge and dropbox and I don't understand this technology. When I downloaded Bridge, it brought all of my photos from dropbox in automatically. I want to organize my thousands of photos and delete some, but would like my original camera upload file in my dropbox, just in case I make mistakes. When I organize and delete on Bridge, does it automatically make changes in my dropbox? Thank you,Jane
Since the latest update, all my EPS and PNG file thumbnails display strangely, with a dark, chunky, checkerboard background. See attached image, which is a CMYK EPS file, saved backwards to CS1. Illustrator files look fine. All files display correctly in the preview window. Anyone else seeing this issue? Adobe Bridge 2020 (latest build - 10.0.3.138)Mac OS X Catalina (10.15.3 (19D76))
I was having major trouble with Bridge 2019 because I couldn't view any files in full preview mode, they were entirely pixelated and obscured. I was told to update to Bridge 2020, but now when I'm culling and trying to delete files, this error message pops up. After I click "okay" the file disappears, but it's still in the folder, Bridge just hid it. Another problem is all of the photos in Bridge look super desaturated and less contrasy and muddy then what they actually are.
For a certain logical reason I need to enclose a particular set of keywords in some form of parentheses but not round brackets.[ and ] cannot be use as they have special meaning in Bridge i.e. excluded keywords.I tried < and > which work in Bridge but when exporting to Lightroom they are stripped because Lightroom seems to interpret them as hierarchical separators. Finally I tried { and }.That seemd to satisfy both Bridge and Lightroom. I was happy for a while. Then a noticed a curious occurrence - If I reimport my keywords into Bridge, keywords enclosed in the { and } characters are not imported. Their parent keyword is, but not the keywords themselves.Does Bridge attach a special meaning to these characters which I am unaware of?
Oh my goodness, why do simple things need to change. ACR 2020 under Bridge. How do i set an 'auto' preset so I dont have to 'select all' and 'auto' when i open my files? the new 'raw defaults' is an absolute beast, why do i have to create a 'profile' to save my edits to and why dont they work right? Cant i just "set as new CR Default"???!
Hi, I have used adobe PS and bridge for years. Suddenly I cannot rename a folder or image using mouse right click. This no longer highlights the folder name etc. Folder definately not open in windows or another program, no message when R click just nothing. Bridge totally up to date and cache compressed. All preferences reset. Any ideas? Ive found a workaround by using "reveal in explorer" and renaming there but would rather have straight forward R click to rename.
Hi, I've tried deleting & reinstalling bridge however the same issue occurs where I'm unable to see the file names as it cuts most of the titles off. Previously this was fine, though for a few months now it's become annoying. Also unable to rename folders in Bridge & have to reveal in finder to do so on the folder itself. Any help to resolve this would be great. Thanks
Hello everyone. I am getting frustrated because Adobe Support keeps transferring me and wont get a response until 2 almost 3 hours later. My app for Bridge doesnt work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it will not open at all. I dont get an error message or anything. Has anyone else run into this issue? THank you for your time.
cant change the fonts on my laptop . they are to small for reading!! see the setup for the Camera Raw interface. the only thing that changes when i setup the preferances are the fonts on the Bridge (not the ACR or the camera downlader). i have trued also to shange the fonts ot the win font size to 150% > nada
HiCan not open lately Ai, SVG, PDF files, with Illustrator 2020, from Bridge 2020
I use bridge to apply my metabata including key words.Ther are some file that the data just does not seem to want to attach to.I keyword it - wait to see the update appears in the metadata window and lock the file. When I go back to the file (even just a minute or so later the data is gone, even though the file is still locked)Currntly have about 40 image that this is happening on but may be more in other folders. What am I doing wrong, if anything?
hello I am pretty sure there is something is not going properly with my BRAND new MACBOOK PRO 16 inch. When I open a folder with 100/200 raw images ,with Adobe bridge , it takes a while to preview them and there is always the round spinning icon playing. what is the problem? How should I solve it?
on a Mac, you can't use a trackpad or Wacom tablet with Bridge to scroll; it goes WAAAAAY too fast. You have to use the down arrow in the scrollbar. Anyone have any hacks or tricks to make it more reasonable? Adobe clearly couldn't care less.
I see that you can save the contact sheets as a PDF but how do I save it if I want to come back to it later and make changes?
I decided to create a workflow on a Windows 10 PC that launches BRIDGE when the card reader initiates after inserting the camera card. The idea is to convert my 14bit Raw Nikon NEF files from my Z6 into DNG files and place them in a a directory so that I can import them into Lightroom. As part of this I want to copy a backup file in the original NEF format. Why is it that I can not change the default targe (#1 in the attached image) and why do I alwasy get an error message that states the DNG froles can not be created as requested in the check box. This really should be a basic functionality that BRIDGE should support as I can perform the task manually in Lightroom Classic but sadly not in Lightroom (CC) Photoshop. There has to be a way to set a different default directory and make this work that I am just missing
CR shows file assoc. for CR3 but there is no image preview on the down loader. I have the latest ver. of Bridge, CR and PS.
Using latest 10.3 on Win10, audio preview of mono wav files only plays in the right channel.
Help. Going a bit bananas. I am diving back into my old photography hobby more seriously and need help selecting the best Adobe program to use. Last week, I used Lightroom CC to import >60,000 images into a consolidated directory. I chose to copy each original into a new location (networked drive) and, in so doing, de-duped many thousands of images. Images previsouly spread across iCloud, Google Photos, DropBox etc are now consolidated into this single Lightroom originals folder. This equates to ~400GB. There is another ~700GB of video to be imported, although this may contain significant duplication. Next comes the digitization of 10 years worth of slides and negatives (which, of course, has zero meta-data). Before I embark on that endeavor, I want to have my photography collection management strategy dialed in. Lightroom CC is steadily working to cloud sync. Process is very slow, but steady. Additionally, my network drive is backed-up to cloud (Backblaze), so
EDIT: I have rolled back to version 9.1.0 and this problem is gone. Not sure what was broken in the later updates, but it makes the app borderline unusable. Hopefully I don't get force-updated out of this (working) version. So for the last several months, Bridge CC has had terrible performance, with preview/thumbnail generation taking much longer than it ever did in the past, using 100% of CPU resources while doing so, constantly locking up and even locking up overall system function, even with Bridge.exe set to low priority. This happens on both systems I use (an i7-4790/24GB/GTX 980 desktop, and a i7-4712/16GB/Quadro K1100M laptop). Both are using SSD for storage. I have: Cleared bridge cache.Added dedicated bridge cache SSD to desktop system (no other use)Updated all CC software to newest versions as availableDone clean installations of CC software, graphics drivers on both systemsTried "prefer embedded" thumbnails (has no appreciable effect)Turned off exporting
An action I've created that runs well from inside Photoshop is not behaving in the same way (or so it seems) when triggered via Bridge/Tools/Photoshop/Batch. In short, the action processes an image layer through a color fill layer, stepping through 10 blend modes, "merging" each combination to a new layer before proceeding to the next blend. Then, it executes the "Layers to File" script, exporting those ten layers to a specified destination folder, and finally, closes the original file without saving changes to the file. Works as expected and intended inside Photoshop. Triggered from Bridge, it executes the multiple blend mode layers fine, but when it tries to run the "Layers to file" to save to a folder, it stops with a "duplicate image "dialog box. I've tried various options and overrides in the Batch dialog box, but I get a little lost trying to understand what's actually happening. I'm sure it's GIGO, but not sure why. Thoughts?
