ProblemUntil about three months ago, everything was fine opening files using ACR from Bridge. Now, it hangs for JPEGs, and ARW RAW files when I right click the photos while in Bridge. The file size makes no difference (the problem occurs on .5 mgb to 10 mgb photos).Other aspects of Bridge seem to work, such as batch processing. Hello WorldBy now we all know the Adobe really messed up Bridge after 12 and STILL tries to build upon a broken foundation. Why this is we can only speculate about. What is your theory? I have a few. 1. The team got a new lead that, as they all do, wanted to show their qualities, and decided to implement a lot of horrible code.2. An insane amount of time preassure. Why? My wild guess, all the troups must focus on AI and ignore the pro corwd who doesnt need the AI in this amount.3. Simply new coders who dont know what they do.4. New directives from outside of Bridge team asking for bad changes that isnt doable.5. Bridge have had a bad code for a long time and every feature added just messes it all up even more and the patching is'nt doable any more.6. Bridge has been left out in the cold by Adobe, soon to be deleted, and no good coder is left to give it real love. Just meaningless new bad coded features.7. I dont know, all this is really a mystery. You tell me guys? So, f
Has anyone had issues when opening the File Info script in Bridge? I had this issue for the first time today and it's still happening even after the update.
Adobe Bridge keeps crashing randomly. Whenever I'm working through CR3 files it crashes and gives me a crash report. It crashes when I'm working through CR2s also but I don't get a crash report for that the app just closes. It also crashes a lot whenever I'm saving files from camera raw, regardless of if I'm saving CR2 or CR3 files. I've already purged the cache so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Title says it all. A few PNG images will show up, but most are just icons. Open them in PS and they're fine. Look in a file explorer window, and fine.Cache cleared, prefs reset, etc. etc.Any ideas?
(Sonoma 14.0 - Bridge 2024 / Photoshop 2024)Hi all,If Bridge is closed and I drag a folder on the icon, Bridge opens normally and so does the folder. If the Bridge window is still opened, I can drag and drop any new folder onto the icon and it works perfectly. BUT, if I minimize Bridge (red button) and then drag and drop nothing else will happens. The Bridge menu will appear but no window opens no matter how long I wait. I have reset the Preferences as suggested above but the behaviour is not fixed.Thanks.
Bridge recent versions will not find when doing a Edit/Find (Filename,Contains). It never finds anything when there are files name that seem to meet the criteria.
HelloI have Bridge version 14.0.0 and whenever I work with the "output" layout, I can see only a part of my PDF preview (see screenshot attachment). It is like as if I had zoomed in the page (even thought I did not and actually there is not even this option). I tried many ways to have a view of the whole page, but did not have success. Any sugestion?Tks!!!!!
I accidentally undocked my preview panel in Bridge output. I managed to put it back to where it was, but since than it is showing a zoomed in preview of the page and I cannot find a way to zoom out to see the whole page int eh preview window. Any idea?
Is there a way to find a particular metadata field value that isn't on the (presumably) fixed Criteria drop-down list? For example, I would like to find files with the ‘Credit Line’ metadata field having a value of ‘Harvey’ (see attached screenshots). I know the ‘All Metadata’ selection will work, but I just want to zero in on files with values for that particular meta field. In other words, is there a way to add, say, the ‘Credit Line’ metadata field to the Criteria drop-down list?
Hi everyone! When I upload to Bridge, I'm getting a ton of duplicate files with a number 1 following the file name. The duplicates don't exist in my camera, and I'm using a Canon 5D4. Anyone else experience this? Thanks!
Hi, During import, I use a custom naming convention that includes the variable HHMMSS (time the photo was taken). The import goes as planned with no errors. However, upon further inspection, some of the names of the photos are not correctly in-sync with the original time of the photo. I see this in particular when the photo is taken at 8:50:00pm-9:05:00pm. For example, if the photo was taken at 8:50:46pm the file name is saved as 195046 instead of the correct 205046. The same with a photo taken at 9:02:38pm, the file name is incorrectly named as 200238 instead of 210238. The weird thing is that it does not happen to all of the images but only some. I know I am supposed to name my files better 🙂 but I feel there is a bug in the program regarding HHMMSS that needs to be checked. Any help is much appreciated.
Hello! I recently had a great teams meeting with the Bridge team themselfs talking about the performance issues that came after 12 and have been ever so present. I have been very vocal about this in the forums, and I will continue to be until solved. But I finally got some cold facts about what is going on, and thats a great step in the right direction. I only wish they would communicate this in the forums. They sure do know what is going on and they are trying to fix it.But wtf happened? Well, it all comes down to a new code foundation they implemented. All this with the new tab system for multiple content panels and so forth. THIS is the source of all our troubles. And of course it's part of whats been implemented in all the apps, sort of. It's a new foundation to better talk with each other I guess. The old one was starting to be limiting for the Bridge Team and it had to be replaced. At least, that's how I understood it. But. If Adobe asks me (and
I haven't updated my bridge in many years and recently have done so. It used to be that if you clicked on a subkeyword, there was an option to make the head keyword also check. I'd like to do that again but I don't see the option.
Hello,it seems that Bridge is not taking over the mouse pointer setting from my OS (currently Win 11).I always get a realatively small black mouse pointer. It is very hard to recognise and work with, in particular on darker background. My request is, that mouse pointer features (at least color and size) can be configured or are taken over from OS setting. Thanks, Uwe
So I am getting into Bridge Javascripting and I am looking at passing scripts to Photoshop. Is there a way to have Bridge call another Javascript file but also pass parameter to it. I know I need to use bridge talk but I really dont want to write all the code as a single line string as a very simple test I had Bridge open selected PNGs, Trim them, and then close them,. I did this all as a single line string. (this was just a test, that was an action I could batch before, but I felt it would be a good starting point.) what I would love to do is write a "Trim" script and then pass the file into it (Example: TrimIt(A.png). The main reason I would want a script is I am going to be building a lot of these different functions (20-30) and I would love to not store them all in a single 10,000 line code file. and also not store them as single line strings for sending out through bridge. has anyone done soimething simialr to this so you can show me your system for doing this?
I created a custom menu Item that when run, will open and export the first page of a PDF as a PNG of a specific size for Website Thumbnails. Is there anyway that I can have the Menu Disable if you have not selected a PDF? Extra Questions I have someone might know:1. is there a Javascript reference for Bridge? I have a Photoshop and Illustrator one, but cant find a Bridge one for the life of me.2. Is there a way to make Seperators in our Custom menus3. Is there a way to find out all menu commands "Texts" I always just see every one use 'after Thumbnail/Open' but dont really want a menu between Open and Open in new Window. and at the end of the who context menu feels way to far down.
Bridge keeps asking me to update to the latest version of photoshop. I select multiple images in bridge>tools>Photoshop>Load files into layers in photoshop. Photoshop is up to date as is Bridge.
I cannot use cntrl+5 etc to rate my images while reviwing in full screen. I was trying to use my tv to review images like this earlier, it does a great job of showing me which ones are blatanta keepers. How come the hot key does not work in fullscreen preview mode?
hello, as you can see my ssd is not detected by bridge, do you have any idea where the problem comes from?
I am stunned by this. I have a RAW image file. I go to rename. I rename the file. Then, all my healing work on the image disappears! The color corrections remain, but all the healing brush corrections vanish. It even does so when I open the image in RAW.On PC using version 11.0.1.109.
Built-in Bridge's image viewer like Windows Photos. (And like ACDSee when you double-click on the photo and the ACDSee opens a new window for viewing the photo.)
Hello Adobe friends. It's been many years since I've used Adobe Suite but a lot of my jpeg photos are in .xmp, how do I convert it all back to jpeg, easily? Which Adobe app actually converted them to .xmp? Thank you. God bless you.
