BRIDGE OPENING JPG FILES IN LIGHTROOM DESPITE BEING SET TO PHOTOSHOP 23. CAN NOT CLOSE LIGHTOOM WITHOUT MESSAGE LIGHTROOM FAILING TO RESPOND. HELP

Seems with the last upgrade to Bridge 2024, I have lost my sort button on the application bar. It was replaced with a search box.  I know how to sort using the drop down menus in 2024, but the sort button on the nav bar was really convenient. Any ideas how to get this back? ThanksScott

Hi,  I have updated PS to 25.0 and Bridge to 14.0 - When I try to initiate Photomerge in Bridge, it tells me to update to the newest version of Photoshop, which I've already done. I also tried reverting backwards to Bridge 13.03 but I get the same.   Photomerge is CRUCIAL to my work as an artist, since I professional scan my artwork and I rely on Photomerge for my larger artworks.  Please remedy this as soon as possible. Thank You.

Is anyone smart enough to know how to avoid duplicate sub-keywords? I am not. I had made phylogenetic keywords originally, in the form, Diptera (FLIES).  I found out, importing to my website, that the proper separation is with commas, and () causes problems.  So I decided to rename to Diptera, FLIES, This is an Order of Insects, and there are Families, Subfamilies and Tribes below this. And there are parents, Arthropods and Insects above.  I was first just trying to work on one family of Bee Flies, Bombyllidae, whose format I thus changed.  But then I found when I checked one of the subkeywords, the same one in the older one would also check.  Likewise with uncheck.  I spent hours, trying to view all the subkeywords and starting over, unchecking all the levels but they still came duplicated.  that when I then went to the parent keyword Diptera and did the same thing, but it made no difference except creating another duplicate of Bee flies in the

Hi there, I updated Bridge and now I can't find anymore a file in a folder by typing its name.Let's say, usually it's enough to type "sm" within a folder to jump to "Smartphone.jpg".Now Bridge doesn't react at all, and it's a real problem, since it's extremely difficult to find a file amongst thousands just by eye. I can't find any settings for it.Can anybody tell me what to do?Thanks,Erica

I have had nothing but issues for months with Bridge and ACR. Bridge won't close without having to force close, it won't batch rename, it won't open JPEGS in ACR, I cannot right click, copy and paste settings within Bridge. I've updated, uninstalled/reinstalled, read through formus and Facebook groups, downgraded to previous versions, etc., etc. Absolutely nothing works and I'm left sitting and watching a spinning wheel and force quitting every 2 minutes and I'm nearly in tears frustrated that I can't work!  MacBook Pro M1 Pro 16 GB running Sonoma 14 (as of last night trying to see if it would help) and all PS, Bridge, ACR is up to date. 

Very odd happen since last update not all f my photos show in Bridge not sure what too do Thanks. Bill

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have some files that I want to run a PS action on. If I select them in Bridge go Tools > Photoshop it opens a previous version (2021) version, even though 2022 is already open. If disable PS 2021 in Preferences > Startup Scripts there is no Photoshop option under Tools. How do I make Bridge run PS actions in the current version of PS? Many thanks!

I'm working in Bridge 8.0.1.282 on a Mac Pro running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4With one of the latest updates, I no longer can see any items when I go to View>Show Items from Subfolders.I'll be in a folder called 'images' that I can see a few folders, (scene01, scene02, etc.) and images. If I open one of those folders I can see the images that are in that folder. But when I'm in the 'images' folder, and choose 'View>Show Items from Subfolders' I get a message that says, 'No items to display'.This happens for all folders on my computer and on the network.Has anyone seen this? Is there a fix available?Thanks

I've searched the forums and haven't found any solutions, so thought I'd start a new question. I'm on Bridge v 13.0.2, on Mac OS Ventura 13.0. When I try to filter in Bridge by star rating, label, etc. -- nothing happens. In the dropdown, it shows that the option is selected (ex. "Show 3 or more stars"). But it's still showing me every image, no matter the rating. Same thing happens with labels. I've pressed "clear filter" so I know it's not a matter of an incorrect filter. Just, nothing happens. I need this functionality to process my images - is there a fix for this? Is it a bug, or some setting needed to be changed? I have too many shoots to edit for this to be happening right now. 😭

On Windows, folders display at the top of the content window, above files, when Sort by Filename is selected in Details View. On Mac, folders display inline unless I sort by Type.Ideally this is selectable, the way the Mac Finder allows (see below.)Its a problem for me because I have CR2, CR3, and folders inside the same enclosing folder. Sorting by type separates the RAW files and sorting by filename mixes everything up. Neither works for me. Folders on top is FAR better for my usage.

Hi, I regularly want to sort a folder of JPGs that visually look black and white but may contain colour pixels. Is there a Bridge script available that can check each JPG and move any JPGs that have any colour pixels to another folder. My scripting skills are close to zero but I have been able to customise existing scripts to my own needs if provided with a script that is similar to my needs. Unfortunately, searching the Photoshop and Bridge communities I haven’t been able to find a script that is likely to help. Thanks in advance, any help that can be provided will be much appreciated. Cheers  Leo

Adobe Bridge recognises some of my indesign files as binary documents but they still open in indesign. It is just annoying because when I want to search indesign files, it won't come up because they are recognised as binary documents in bridge. Please fix this or post a solution. Thank you

In Bridge, after opening a .RAF (Fuji raw file) into Camera Raw and making adjustments, the thumbnails in Bridge do not show the adjusted file even though the sidecar (.xml) files exists. In other words, it show the unadjusted thumbnail. When I reopen the affected .RAF file(s) in Camera Raw, the adjusted picture appears. Bridge Version: 13.0.2 (shows that it's up do date)OS: Windows 10Lots of available space for cache 

I love using bridge to cull my photos for photography, but I'm usually trying to get the number down to a certain number. But when in Review Mode, I can't see how many photos I have selected out of how many are in the folder. Can we just get a little number that says "55/605"? Just so I know where I'm at in the count? I could then keep reducing the images if I had too many selected. Thanks!

This debacle with Bridge 13-14 is unprecedented to me in the industry. I have never seen an app be so horribly beaten up and released in such a bad state that intensive care would have been more appropriate. I know this is a harsh thing to say, but tTo me this is so serious that I suspect that something very bad has happened at Adobe. I wouldnt be surprised if the entire team has beenreplaced by some summer interns or what not. Or fantastic coders that had to take over a working code, hold together with scotch tape and impossible to build on. Is the state of  Bridge known higher up in the chain? Was it even rushed out by order of some new boss eager to "show his qualities"? There must be a reason behind all this? So. When I try to open Bridge 2023 or 2024, it says not responding and I can't open it. Should I uninstall and reinstall ? HELP? This is a MAC Book Pro that uses Ventura 13.2.1

Using the newest version of Bridge and Illustrator, double clicking an Illustrator document (or press Enter) in Bridge 2024 starts Illustrator but does NOT open the document. Even if Illustrator is already running, the AI document is not loaded. I have to drag&drop it manually in the Illustrator window (or open in manually from within Illustrator). Pleas fix this bug in Bridge 2024

I've recently updated to Bridge 2024 and when importing images from card, photo downloader has automatically broken up the contents of an existing folder into ten subfolders. Can someone tellme what is going on here?

I'm using Bridge 14.0.0 - when I select a single photo or multiple photos and attempt to open the images to Camera Raw -  Bridge crashes. This has happened with previous versions and occurs every several weeks (I was able to edit photos in RAW a couple days ago, but now it just crashes).  I've restarted my computer and cleared cache. Am I missing something here that would cause this defect ?

I have a setup of multiple screens, one of them the native screen of my laptop. I can move Photoshop and Bridge independently on different screens, but when I double-click on a photo in Bridge to make basic edits, it opens a non-window (just an overlay without the nromal frame and top bar) always on the native screen, no matter what screen the main windows of Photoshop and Bridge are. I want the interface on my big screens, that's what they are for. I know it's technically Photoshop that is misbehaving like that, but it is only the version of Photoshop opened from Bridge.

In Adobe Bridge, when I try to right-click to open a jpg image with Adobe Camera Raw, the above message is sent, followed by: 'Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature'.If one of you would please explain the meaning of this, and show me how I can fix it, I would be very grateful.jwc

Hola, tengo un listado de 100 fotos en formato texto con el nombre del archivo. Estas fotos están dentro de una carpeta con 1000 fotos. No soy capaz de buscar esas fotos mediante la función buscar. Si pego el nombre de una foto en la función buscar me la encuentra, en el momento que hay 2 nombres o más, aunque los separe por comas no me los encuentra. Soy fotografo de bodas y obtengo una lista de una selección de fotos favoritas (a traves de una web que la genera) y necesitaría poder filtrar ese listado para hacer una copia en otra carpeta y poder mandar a imprimirlas. Esta función la hace Lightroom, pero las fotos exportadas en jpg tienen el nombre de la pareja y las fotos de lightroom tienen el formato del RAW original. Muchas gracias. //////////////////// Hello, I have a list of 100 photos in text format with the name of the file. I'm wondering if it's possible to export the Bridge workspace I have setup on my laptop. I've used collections to group my files in Bridge on my laptop, but when I open Bridge on my imac it's not synced. It's the same account for both computers - does anyone know if this is possible?  

I want to copy my Camera Raw-settings to other photos in Adobe Bridge but the programme won't let me do it. A warning sign appears saying "Camera Raw-editing is not activated. If you want to edit in Camera Raw you must have a license for a qualified product", even though I have a valid full Adobe-subscription. Every program is updated, including CR. I have a correct file format from a supported camera model. I can even open the .CR2-files in Camera Raw through double clicking on them in Bridge, but I cannot open CR through Bridge's the menu or copy the Cam Raw-settings to other photos? It has worked flawlessly before.  This function saves me so much time, thank you in advance to anyone who can help me out with this.
