I'm trying to use Bridge to access a large shared image collection on a Windows server with primarily Windows clients. The collection is mostly in a set of subfolders, but the images have been extensively keyworded, so indexing is important to my being able to search the collection. When I attempt to search from the drive root and all subfolders, indexing begins, but according to the status bar never proceeds past the invisible "$RECYCLE.BIN" folder, presumaby because it lacks the permissions to index the contents. My questions: Am I correct that Bridge getting stuck on this folder because of insufficient permissions? If so, should I expect this behavior from other folders for which I don't have Read permission? If not, what is the actual reason? How do I get Bridge to ignore this folder and proceed indexing the rest of the drive? Deleteing or renaming the folder (to append ".noindex", for instance) is not an option.
I think I found a bug in either Bridge or Camera Raw. I open a raw file from Bridge, do my normal adjustments, BUT this one time I used the healing brush to remove a dust spot. And when I did when I clicked Open in Camera Raw to send it to Photoshop I got the message Could not open "_08A7186.CR3" because the file-format module cannot parse the file. I went back to Bridge and right clicked and under Develop Settings I clicked Clear Settings. Then I could open in Camera Raw and open it in Photoshop.
Every time I close and re-open Bridge, the sort order will now change back to the default. This never happened in previous versions. Bridge would always remember my sort order preference. My usual setting is to have the sort order by Date Modified, Ascending Order switched off, but Bridge now always reverts back to Date Modified with Ascending Order on after every restart.
I recently installed Creative Cloud on my new computer and installed Photoshop and Bridge. I used to be able to right click a photo (on every other version of Bridge I've ever used) and open it in Camera Raw to in order to convert HEIC images to JPEG. However, that option is not available (for any file, much less HEIC). I'm working in Windows 10 with the HEIC codecs installed (I paid the stupid $1 to greedy Microsoft), and the latest versions of Photoshop and Bridge. Things I've tried include clearing the cache, opening Photoshop to encourage Camera Raw to show up in Bridge, and ending all active sessions using from my Adobe account settings online, all of which are solutions that are mentioned in other threads. I've also tried using the building image converter in Bridge, but all I get is a really low resolution of the original image, similar to all my thumbnails which are extremely low resolution. How do I enable Camera Raw? Thanks in advance for your help.
This is something new and puzzling; After opening a raw file in Bridge 2023, when I move the mouse over the open file, the color profile appears to change between the chosen color profile and the darker one. If I continue and open the file in Adobe Photoshop 2023, it opens up in the correct profile. I don't know what causes these changes, but it obviously makes it difficult working with the raw files in Bridge. Mac StudioSonoma 14.0Studio DisplayAdobe Bridge 13.04Adobe Photoshop 24.7
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57, MacOS Monterey 12.6.8. If Secondary window is opened and main window then closed, panel behavior is unpredictable. Scripts can still open new panels but they are floating windows (with layout issues... :sigh:), not fixed panels in the new window. These floating windows cannot be docked but do appear to work with selected nodes in the Secondary window.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - macOS Monterey 12.6.8 Closing the Primary window requires two clicks on the Close button. The first click closes the Conent tab and the second actually closes the rest of the window.
I am having problems in that Bridge V13.03.693 isnt applying keywords consistently. For example I have a folder and I want to tag all the photos as 2022. I select all the photos in the folder but when I double chek by clicking the individual photos afterwards only some of the photos are tagged.
I bracket all of my images, and have been able to use auto-stacking feature in Bridge prior to the latest upgrade. I use Windows 10 (latest version) and have a Sony camera. When I try to auto-stack from within bridge I get this meassage 'Image is missing preview data'.The only thing that has changed is Bridge so something must be wrong here. Anyone else with the same problem?
Hallowenn ich in Bridge Bilder sichte und ein jpg lösche soll gleichzeitig auch das zugehörige RAW gelöscht werden. Wie funktioniert das.Vielen DankHermann
Hello, Hoping someone can assist. I use batch editing to resize albums in both vertical and horizontal but the latest update has removed (or perhaps moved / renamed) this feature from the tool drop down menu on Bridge. It is an essential tool for our business and we wondered if anyone could assist us. Thanks in advance
Camera Raw 15.5 on a Windows PC does not save the default settings properly for the Curve panel and the Color Mixer panel. I have tried again and again to save these settings (and others) as defaults when Camera Raw first opens. These two panels are the only ones I have noticed that do not retain their settings properly. As shown in the attached photos, after I start Bridge, and then select an image to edit with Camera Raw, the startup views are incorrect. They used to start up correctly. However, most of the time, if I open Bridge and select a photograph, when Camera Raw comes up, I change the panel settings to my preferred views, work on the image, and then I open the image into Photoshop. When I am finished in Photoshop, I return to Bridge and select another image to edit, but this time the settings for these panels in Camera Raw are what I last used (and wanted).
For some reason I don't understand, some files in Adobe Br appear as blue, white and black "Ps PSD" icons instead of image thumbnails. What's the meaning of these "Ps PSD" icons? Why would this be occuring? Why don't these files appear as image thumbnails? Is there a way to make them appear as thumbnails? (The "Ps PSD" icons open as images in Ps and can be edited normally, but I can't apply Enhance-SR to them in Camera Raw.) Thanks
I had been using Bridge beta and Photoshop beta, and my actions were preserved. They are not in the default actions folder, but in another, and I have the choice to go to that and select my action. but after having to close Bridge and restart the computer, only the default action folder shows in Bridge, with none of my actions. Tried looking in the user preference to maybe copy from Bridge 13 or Photoshop but don't find. And this Beta was working better as if I ran the batch, it put the results in the folder I ran from, while Bridge 13 would put in the folder when I last modified the action, despite saying to save in the same folder.
This has been an ongoing issue over many versions of Bridge, and many Mac OS versions but I wonder if anyone else has the same problem?I have files that include placed documents sitting in the layer stack as smart objects. Often these files get too big for some reason (becsause they have a placed doc?) so they have to be saved as PSB files.Bridge has problems exporting these files. I think it is just because of the smart obects inside them. They do get exported but Bridge gets stuck thinking its still exporting and will not stop its progress view.
I recently updated to a new computer. I now find that I can't keep Bridge permanently on "organize manually". Every time I close and reopen it's reverted to "organize by file name". Isn't there a way to "lock it" on manual organization?
Since downloading Bridge and PS on a new Macbook Pro 14" the Photo Downloader does not load at all when trying to obtain photos from my camera. I have followed all of the steps for using the Downloader in Preferences but it makes no difference. Any thoughts anyone?
Since updating to the latest bridge beta, Ive lost the text and icons in CameraRaw adjustment menu. Its also gone in the CameraRaw setting menu. I tried Light mode too, but no change. I turned off GPU as well, but again, no change. This does not happen to Photoshop for some reason. I tried reinstalling and disabling all start up scripts but no dice. Apple M1 Pro.
I,So, Bridge no longer displays tiff 16 bits thumbnails and preview.Exported via Lightroom Classic or Photoshop.Jpeg, PSD... files are OK.Mac OS 13.4.1 (c), Bridge 13.0.3, Photoshop 24.6.0 and Lightroom Classic 12.4.
What the What? Image Processor (or any Ps action) no longer available under Tools... Related, why do JPG images corrected in "Camera Raw" need to be RE-Jpegged before uploading, else look like they were never adjusted. It's annoying.
Hi 🙂I'm using bridge to filter my raws on my sd card in order to import just the starred/rated pictures from my sd card onto my computer. So I plug in the card and open the folder in those two programms and active the filter to sort the rated photos. Photomechanics needs less than a second to filter out about 100 photos of round about 800. Adobe Bridge on the other hand needs about 10 seconds. And with more pictures on the card, Bridge needs even more time. Can I speed up Adobe Bridge? Here is a comparison video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgp-tC2nMsk Thanks!
Bonjour.
Hi, I'm having a problem enhancing a .jpg file (a composite) with Super Resolution in Camera Raw. (I've done this successfully many times with other composite files.) The .jpg was converted from a .psd in Ps. In Bridge, the file appears as a "Ps PSD" icon instead of a thumbnail image, which is unusual. I don't know why this happened. Does any of this suggest an underlying problem or possible remedy? Thanks
