I want to convert a folder full of HEIC files to JPEG and I was hoping Bridge could do this as a batch process.I am getting the following error message in Bridge (which spawns Photoshop CC in the process) when I try to open an HEIC image file:"Photoshop Camera Raw does not support HEIC files on windows". The Adobe Help page titled HEIC and HEVC media files support in Lightroom and Camera Raw says:"In the Camera Raw Preferences dialog box, ensure that the JPEG/HEIC field is set to either Automatically open JPEGs and HEICs with settings or Automatically open all supported JPEGs and HEICs. To access Camera Raw Preferences, click the Open Preferences Dialog button  in the Camera Raw dialog box." Whether from Bridge or PS I do not see the above text in my Camera Raw Preferences dialog box even though I just updated LR Classic CC, PS CC 2019 and Camera Raw this morning. Computer: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)OS: Monterey 12.7.3Camera Raw: 16.2Adobe: 25.7.0Bridge: 14.0.2.181 It's 100% occurance. Only Adobe Beta and Bridge are open. Maybe email, maybe a website. Normal usage. I open image, click 'denoise' and without adjusting I accept what it offers, I think the setting is on 50%. I click Enhance. The computer starts to go into noisy smokey machine, it get louder than a washmachine. Then screen goes black. After few seconds of the black screen - silence. It's like when you do a hard shut off while the computer is running on maximum. Defeaning silence. Hit keyboard and you get the login screen. I login - everything opens, photoshop is there, camera raw is there, the enhancing is in progress still. That. Happens. Every. Time. That's how it goes.  Any ideas how not to destroy my computer using AI Denoise? 

I'm trying to static compile XMP Toolkit SDK in XCode 15.0 of macOS 13.5, it reported the error:unable to find sdk '/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX11.1.sdk'Could anyone give me some suggestions to solve this error? Thanks in advance!

Hi all,Adobe DNG Profile Editor does not work on my computer.My OS system is Windows 10 64 bytes. I downloaded Adobe DNG Converter to convert a Fuji GFX RAF file as a DNG file. The conversion worked fine. Then I opened the DNG file with Adobe DNG Profile Editor. When I click (right button) on an area of the image, the adjustment of the image works fine, the pixels colors RVB values are displayed in the RVB panel, but nothing appears in the List box on the right side of the Color Tables pane and Hue, Saturation, Lightness tools are not active (disabled).Has anyone ever had this problem?Regards. And excuse my poor English.  

I spent several hours with a Senior Technician a few weeks ago while he checked my computer. He told me immediately there was an known issue with Camera Raw and PhotoDownloader and the new Nikon Z8. After remotely checking everything, he again said it was a known issue and that engineering would be working on it. Some of the issues included more than one Z8 was detected and portrait inages (vertical) would download in black and white thumbnails. Some images would be completely missing.  Unfortunately, the only thing I am seeing fixed  with Camera Raw 15.5 is that only one Z8 is now detected and half the vertical thumbnails  are now in colour. (The files themselves are fine as they download). What I am concerned with are the missing images. They are on the card and if downloaded directly from the camera, they are there. They are not all appearing in PhotoDownloader.  This presents a real problem for my work. Is there anything else I should be looking at to fix t

Sonoma 14.4.1 / Photoshop 25.6.0 / ACR 16.2 Scanning images and then merging in ACR into single large page. First went normally Second time pulled up the merged image from the first time. Terminating PS and remerging resulted in the first image again.

Hi all, When I try to open a raw file (Nikon NEF) into ACR from Bridge 14.0.2 I get the attached error. Adobe support has tried many things, uninstalling/reinstalling Briddge, resetting preferences but nothing worked. They tell me it is a permissions issue. However, it works fine in Bridge 12.0.4. It stopped working from Bridge 13.Double clicking on the file opens it in ACR, so I can't see how it is a permissions issue.I note others have had the same issue. I am running Win 10, latest version, PS latest version and latest version of Bridge.  Any ideas?Not a major problem, as double clicking on the file opens it in ACR. It is just that is a feature is in the app, it should work. Regards, Steve 

I have ACR 16.2 on 2015 Mackbook Pro running Monterey and on an M3 Max running Sonoma. On the 2015 laptop ACR has the Lens Blur pallette but it's missing on my M3 Max. Both of them are running up to date Bridge and Photoshop. Have I made this disappear somehow? Google isn't helping. Any thoughts are gratefully received.

Can someonle please explain what exactly the camera raw calibration tool does and how it is different from the other global colour adjustment tools there?

I've had my Mavic 3 Pro Cine for 7 months and have always been unsatisfied with how the horizon looks in photos when the horizon is in the upper 1/4 of the image. The outer ends of the horizon bend upwards. Upon looking into this further, it appears the embedded lens profile is the problem. With no way to disable the embedded lens profile of the DNG inside ACR, the only option is to use another non-Adobe method to strip the embedded lens profile from the DNG and perform the correction another way. If only ACR would allow users to disable the embedded lens profile and adjust the image. I'm not referring to the Lens Profile corrections under the Optics tab in ACR. I'm referring to the lens profile that gets embedded into the DNG.

I use tone curve presets frequently and there no longer seems to be a function for saving a custom curve in ACR 15. Previously it was possible to save whatever adjustment was made to the curves as a preset with the small dropdown menu under the curves/histogram window. Where did it go and how can I get it back? If it was removed, why on earth would that be a good idea?

Since a few days I cannot open cr2 files from my Canon EOS-5D Mark III camera in Photoshop no more.Also DNG images (if I export them as DNG from Lightroom) are not working in Photoshop.Please help, because I have no clue what I have to do?

Maybe I am being daft here but I am sure I used to be able to save and name a crop preset under custom ratio ?? I can use a custom ratio but I cannot see a way to name it so I can easily find it again

Recently got a Z9 and found imported raw files with darker areas & higher ISOs were generating very noticable & unpleasant grain & noise compared with similar files with the Z7. Upon researching this I found other Z9 users had the same issue, but only if they used Lightroom / Photoshop (Adobe products). A very detailed look at this issue, and possible work arounds, can be found here; Adobe Short-Changing Z9...?! | And How You FIX It! | Matt Irwin - YouTube Not sure if it has something to do with the High Efficiency * raws that Nikon has with the Z9, but the fact that Capture One doesnt have the same issue makes me think it is a bug / tweak that you guys could do / fix.  It would be worth doing as the Z9 is the Nikon flagship camera and will be used by many professional. En el pasado podía convertir cualquier foto o elemento dentro de photoshop en camera raw, y podía modificarlo sin problema usando todas las herramientas de Camera RAW para mejorar la imagen, y además conservaba la capa de ajustes como si fuera un eefecto en la capa, que yo podía encender o apagar. Pero ahora, desde la actualización de Photoshop 2023 y 2024 no he podido volver a hacerlo, ya que cuando lo intento. Photoshop se bloquea y me toca reiniciarlo. ¿Alguien sabe como podría solucionarlo? Tengo MacOS Big Sur versión 11.7.10 (20G1427)

I opened Photoshop Camera Raw to edit some raw files to discover that there was no image priview and I have to access the task manager to leave the application because there were no accessible global controls. I have been through the EDIT > Preferences > Camera Raw settings via Photoshop and that does not help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire adobe suite and that is not helping. I have attemtpted accessing different GPUs and that does not help. I have updated all of my processors and programs and insured that all of my Adobe applications are up to date. I even installed the Camera Raw V16.3(Beta) and that did not have an impact on the usability of the Camera Raw application. However, even though I have the V16.3(Beta) installed, in my app window of Creative Cloud, it shows that V16.2 is installed. Given this, and my normal proficiency at being able to identify an issue on my end, I am wondering if there is a bug in the programming and whether any solutions

Hi Adobe team,Could you please provide more information on how the MaxContentLightLevel is set when creating an AVIF file from Camera Raw (HDR workflow)? It seems that they are not correctly computed, I've noticed some unusual values. These values are causing weird behavior in other viewers, such as Chrome, which takes into account the MaxCLL value to render the image and adapt the headroom.My settings are set to ITU-R BT.2408 (203/1000 nits).I'm using the Windows version of Adobe Camera Raw with the latest update 16.2.Thanks a lot,JM

Camera Raw 16.1, Windows. Multiple panels mode   It happens for Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, etc. Go to edit mode (press E). Make sure the first panel is opened. Go to any other mode (expect masking - shortcuts doesn't work from there), let's say Healing (press B). Now press Ctrl+1 - you are switch back to the edit mode with first panel collapsed. You have to press Ctrl+1 again to see the content of the panel.   Even more ridiculous - repeat the exercise above with Ctrl+7. In Edit mode (press E), make sure 7th panel is opened. Scroll back to the top. Press B to change the mode to Healing. Press Ctrl+7 - you are switched back to the Edit mode, and the panels are scrolled down to show the collapsed 7th panel.   Expected behavior: do NOT collapse the panels, just scrollthem into view. Only collapse if Ctrl+number is pressed twice in a row in a short succession. Never collapse if switching to Edit mode from other mode.   BTW - Why the Ctrl+number shortcut works from all modes (

When I use ACR with a NEF file from a Nikon D850 with a Nikkor lens I have the option of using or disabling the lens profile.But when I use ACR with a NEF file from a Nikon Z 8 and a Nikkor Z lens, the built-in lens proflie is applied autmatically and I have no option to disable, or not use, that lens profile.Why is that?I have often toggled the lens profile off and on to compare the differences (for the D850). I find the built-in lens proifle for my Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 lens does not handle vignetting as well as I would like. And the manual vignetting adjustments do not always yeild a good result. Or maybe I don't know how to use them properly.Peter

Bridge Version: 14. 0.2. 191In 'Create Preset' Dialog, I created a Group and have created a few of presets under that group in ACR. This newely created preset group was there in ACR for couple of days, but today I discovered it was gone from the Presets list in ACR. Vanished. Went to create a new group and preset, names exactly corresponsing to ones which dissapeared, and then I get this pop up dialog telling me this (see screenshot).Question is where is that group and  vanished presets then, I dont see them in ACR?    

New camera raw 16.2 and now i cant use it anymore. WTF, again an update that stops workflow totally .16.2 wont let me wor in vamera raw ! How to solf if possible and why uodates that ruins working workflow timne and time again???
