  While we creating a layout for captivate using fluidbox initially i can able to create any required width and height fluid boxes. but once we started the project and after words we unable to change the fluid box elements width anymore. i have tried using the nob like shown in the image.. and also using the position tab by giving % values and pixel values. but the new values doesn't change in the fluid box. it might be small thing which we missing..  I am not able to move the divider after a certain percentage. even I tried to give percentage manually.if you see the GIF i tried to change the percentage 37% to 10% but it goes back to  37%. Thanks for the support 

Hello, I have encountered a problem within my Captivate project, within my course, I have made my own pre-assessment test that tells the user what modules (within the same player) they need to retake after the pre-assessment. My question is, is it possible to create a variable that counts slides as visited if the user answers the questions correctly? I currently have my pre-assessment run so that it assigns an image to a different "retake" state if they answered incorrectly. This is set up via an advanced action and variables. Thanks in advance for any and all help! A screenshot of my advanced actions within a pre-assessment (knowledge test) slide. (course M1 and Should Retake are both images that are changed on the results page)   Edward.

Hi there. I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I haven't found any similar question.Here in Germany we use a comma as a decimal seperator (for example when we write "35,50 €"). My problem is that in Cap2017, which we currently use at our org, I can't do basic arithmetic operations with variables that use a comma as a decimal seperator. It only works with a dot. This is problematic because I want to use a TEB variable with user input. Is there any way to change a setting to switch over from dots to commas as seperators or enable both? The only other option would be to basically convert the user input variables via JS.

I created a fairly large captivate project with about 400 slides. The project consists of sales scenarios where the user clicks on buttons to makes choices to continue though the training. I am having an issue with saving progress. I have double checked all the settings and cannot figure out what is wrong. The training seems to save progress up until slide 70 and if I go any further it brings me back to slide 70. It's sometimes inconsistent too. The training is uploaded into our LMS and that's where I've been testing it. Anyone else ever experience this issue and find a solution to it? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! 

Hi! I have a project with an evaluation of 10 random questions (with a group of 15 questions) and I placed a Retry button on the results sheet, so that if the evaluation is not approved the students can answer it again until they get a passing grade. However, I would like the questions to be rearranged on each attempt, so that they do not always appear the same or in the same order. Is it possible to do this? Currently, on each attempt the questions appear in the same order, even the options also come out in the same order even though you check the "Mix responses" option.Can you hel me?

Is this posssible, and if so, how? I've followed the instructions and published to the web, but when I view the project in Mirage/Daydream, I can only see it as I would see it on the desktop, and clicking 'View VR' results in the split screen within a web browser window, not the full immersive experience. Anyone got any clues?

I am receiving the follow error message when I attempt to use the color pick tool for object fills, etc.:Is this a known issue?  If so, any updates/fixes in the works?  For reference, I updated Captivate 2019 on June 12, 2020.

Ihave a question pool of 17 questions. 10 of which are selected for a user assessment at the end of the module. When a user starts the quiz they are given 10 random questions, the issue is if they fail I want them to get another 10 random questions, what is happening is they are getting the same 10 questions they have just failed.  If another user attempts the quiz the questions are different but again on retake those same questions are allocated again. Is it possible to set the qui in such a way that everytime the quiz is failed or started the questions are random from the 17 in the pool. I expect a level of duplication but not all 10 in the same order. I am sure it is a simple setting I am missing. Any help would be much apprechiated. Thank you.

I'm trying to create a graphical progress indicator and I have created the variable that calculates the number of slides completed, etc. And, I can display the variable. However, when trying to show this graphically, I've created 10 images that represent a range of percentage (5%, 10%, 20%, etc.). I'm using a conditional action to show/hide the images. The problem comes in when duplicating content slides and using the advanced action script. Because those graphic images change names, I'm having to add additional If statements. Is there a better way to do this? I'm using Captivate 2017.

Hi there,I have published my Captivate 2019 project as SCORM 1.2  In trying to upload to my LMS (Absorb), I'm receiving the error  "The mandatory file(s) 'imsmanifest.xml' could not be found. Please check your export settings and try again".  I feel like I have the same publish settings in Captivate that I've successfully used before..  but can you point me to what I should check within Captivate if the LMS is claiming missing manifest file? Thanks in advance!   

Having tried Captivate for a few weeks on a trial and been happy with how the program ran I took the plunge and signed up for a licence. Since loading on the full version the program runs at a snails pace with constant crashes and features like 360 dont work! I just get a white screen with no options for adding images. Im extremely frustrated with this as the trial worked perfectly, im not even adding video or images yet, its basically just text boxes! Im running on a 5k 2017 imac with 24gb of ram and run other programs like After Effects and Premier without issue. Has anyone else had these issues on a Mac? any pointers for getting them resolved? Thanks in adavance Paul

I have tried everything I can to record a video on Captivate. When I get to the screen, I get the message, Camera is Busy. When I go to the Privacy and Settings Section, under Camera, Adobe Captivate is not there so I guess that's what's happening. However, it does appear on the Microphone section. Please help me figure out how to do this, so I can give Captivate the permission to use my camera! Thanks!

I'm adding quiz slides to an E-learning course.  When I add the multiple choice question slide and change the answers to 4, answers C and D are out of alignment and I cannot find any way to correct this issue.    How can I correct this issue? Thanks, IDOLProff

I edited the text for checklist items to what I want (10 items) and assigned (wrote) specific variables to each checklist item (simultaneously)3. From Project>Variables, I created variables to match the names of the variables corresponding those in the checklist widget. So that I can use these variables for Advanced Actions scripts (10 variables matching the same variables names in the widget)4. I created an Advanced Action script - conditionals BECAUSE I want, for instance, message/image to show IF those conditions are met5. I created a 'Submit' button and assigned to it 'Execute Advanced Actions from properties/single actions menu, AND choose the Advanced Actions script I created in (4).So far so good. PROBLEM:At run-time, output is not what I want. Ticking/checking selected checklists is not generating event that I want.&

Currently I have Captivate 2019 V11.0.1.266 and my colleagues have captivate 2019 V11.5.1.499. If they create a project I cannot open it as I get a compatibility error, and if I create a project which they then review and save it becomes corrupt for me. I know captivate is not forward compatible but is it really this touchy, I mean its the same overall version ie. 2019 just a slight difference on the version number ?

Hi.We know that with the update of Chrome 80 the details of the monitoring in a disconnection, closing the browser, are not provided to an LMS (Moodle, Scorm 1.2)I am testing in Cp the use of the variable "cpInfoLastVisitedSlide" to try to recover a disconnection having closed the browser blade, but I am not using it correctly or it does not work.If I use other user variables, the course does retrieve the values of a trace after disconnection by closing the browser, except "cpInfoLastVisitedSlide".We are still looking for solutions trying for the moment not using the EXIT button of Cp. If there are no options, in the end we will have to use it.Thank you

A couple of months ago, in Captivate, there was an issue of VR content not playing on devices. The issue was due to a few core libraries that were deprecated.   We are now pleased to announce that we’ve released a Hotfix to address the issue. This Hotfix is applicable to Adobe Captivate (2019 release) with build number 11.5.1.499 on Windows.    If you are not already on build number 11.5.1.499, update your copy of Captivate.   For more information, see this post. I have recently installed captivate 2019 in windows 10. After developing few slides, I am unable to open the captivate file. It is showing fatal error. Pls help.

I recently started having this problem with Captivate 19.After pressing "enter" on a SCORM module in moodle, it keeps showing the loading circle indefinitely.When the page is refreshed, the module works as expected. We are trying to accommodate both Windows and Mac users. There are issues with both right-clicking and pressing Delete. For example, with Windows, pressing Delete deletes the character to the right. On a Mac keyboard, pressing Delete operates like the Backspace key (unless you do a Fn+Delete or Ctrl+D). We are not wanting to eliminate all Delete and right-click actions simply because they don't work. Instead, we would love to somehow allow users to either press Delete or Ctrl+D, whichever is applicable, to advance to the next slide. Is this possible? It seems I have read something about Advanced Actions, but if this is the way to go, I would need some pictures of what the Adv Action would look like to accomplish this. If someone can assist with this, you would be my hero! Thanks!

I am trying to get the x,y, width, and height of an element/object/shape in order to determine if the mousup event x, y coordinates is contained with in the bounds of the element. This will be for a drag and drop type event.

Captivate 2019.I have some content that was originally created for interactivity/SCORM use. Unfortunately, no one likes the SCORM experience in the LMS we are using, so I have to convert it to video.  This is fine since most of it is video demo in any case but I had some process slides where the learner would interact, clicking a button to reveal the next step. I used one of the Captivate asset slides as a starter so I will admit my understanding of how states are added is minimal.What I can't figure out if is there is an easy way to just show the slide in its final state without rebuilding the whole thing?  

I have an E-learning course that has multiple Flipcard advanced Actions.  I made a mistake an overwrote the existing Advanced FlipcardV3.  I've tried using the Advance action wtih the new name, but the effect isn't working.  Is there a way to get the original advanced action back?  Should I create a new Advanced Action from an existing one for every image that I want that effect?  Not sure if I'm making things worse by trying to create new actions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, IDOLProff
