Anyone update to 10.15.5 yet? The update to Catalina 10.15 caused so many problems that I don't want to do it until I hear that other people are functioning in it fine now. I'm in Captivate 19. Thanks for the info!!

How to make a button active only after certain time? I tried to make the button inactive by placinga shape over it and adjust in the timeline till that second, but I am able to click it and it is active. 

I have inherited a captivate project that was built by a former coworker.  It is linked to a ppt that includes a date.  I would like to update the name & location of the ppt. and have the captivate file point to it.  I have read the article "Change the link to the presentation after importing", which tells me I should be able to update  to a different powerpoint, but there is not way to enter the new ppt's URL.  Any hints? 

Hi All, Newbie to Captivate, but, loving the experience & learning curve:) I am struggling with the video quality when publised to video in Captivate 2019, Mac. I want to show a software demonstration and when I record the software demonstration within captivate the quality is accceptable. However, when I use a HD quality MP4 via insert video in a slide and then publish to video the quality is not acceptable. Within Captivate the file sizes seem resonable to me but the publish to video quality drops wth an external video. Option 1 - Recorded in software demo:Captivate file size 40 MBPublishend to Video 15 MBVideo image is clear  Option 2 - Insert video in slide, project rescales to desktop scale.Captivate file size 57 MBPublishend to Video 9 MBVideo image is not clear for use.  Trying to re-purpose videos that have been created already and hopefully there is a fix. There's some problems with the default quiz results slide, and they haven't been fixed for 10 years. If a user must pass a quiz, then you have navigation errors:you must hide the review quiz button under the retake quiz button if you don't want your user orphaned if they review before re-taking.The continue button is always visible but it doesn't work until they've passed the quiz, there should be a way to hide this button until completion criteria have been met.Question, without creating a custom results slide, how do you hide the continue button from the user until they've passed the quiz?   

I am using Captivate 2019. I am creating a course. I added knowledge check slides. On the knowledge check slides I have created "help" buttons. When the help button is clicked it takes the learner to the next slide where they can review the answer. On the review slide is a button that returns them to the previous slide, the knowledge check question. If they answer the question correctly, I have the slide set to skip the review slide and advance to the next knowledge check question.  None of my slides auto advance when I preview it in html and I want them to auto advance except on the ones with the buttons. I suspect the Knowledge check questions are creating the problem, but even if I delete them the problem still exists. I have checked all my settings. Nothing is different than my other courses. I can't figure out why this is happening. This is non-responsive course. 

I've created my first aptivate project and want to host it on BrainShark for the public to use.  They provide a first name, last name, and email address, and then I am getting an error "Unable to acquire LMS API" I assume this is because it isn't attached to a user in the LMS?  I don't care about tracking completion.  Is there a way to publish so that I don't get this error? 

Can I create custom bullet points icons in Captivate CC?I'd like to be able to use one related to a simplified version of my company logo?CheersDave

Hello, Adobe customer support is currently looking into this issue for me but I thought I'd reach out to the community here to see if anyone else has the same issue.I am publishing a video for YouTube in Captivate, however I am getting a loading icon/lag for about a second in the published file whenever the video is transitioning to a video capture or video object:The screenshot above is the 'worst' lag I got in one of my several test publishes. Usually I don't see the white screen; in most cases it goes from one slide to the next but with the loading icon coming up for a second in between transitions.It should be noted that the loading icon only occurs when I am transitioning to a .cpvc or video object file. If I start a project with a .cpvc or video object, the loading icon doesn't appear when I open the published video.Some of the things I tried:Used two different computers.Tried recording shorter video demos.Started new projects to make sure it wasn't a corrupted project fileSaved

Hi there! I seem to be having a problem. I have preview tested my Captivate 2019 project on my browser, and it works fine (all functionality is fine). When my client uploads this published scorm project onto their LMS (Moodle) it worked fine the first time, however revisiting some of the activities, they are having some issues, for instance not being able to go backward or forward a few pages from an activity. Could this be an issue from Moodle's side or within Captivate and how could this be fixed?TIA 🙂

When I use the Variable "$$cpQuizInfoPassFail$$" it displays true or false, how does I get it to display "Pass" or "Fail" 

I'm trying to get CpExtra added to my Captivate 2019 files on a Mac. The problem is, the index.html file has no code in it and just says:" @8644631_KITID" @10691646_IFRAME_API_SCRIPT" @VIMEO_IFRAME_API_SCRIPT Enable Javascript support in the browser. " I'm at a loss to of how to get this up and running if my index file is dramatically different than what I should be seeing.Help! 

I am trying to create a video that combines slides and videos in sequence.  Ths is not an elearning project. The goal is to create a demonstration video that has no user interaction. I am using Captivate 2019 on Mac Book Pro (Catalina)For example, I expected I could make all of these little videos and then stitch them together in sequence: Intro (.pptx slide with narration > output as MP4)Step 1 (.pptx slide with narration > output as MP4) In step 1, How to turn the crank.Video segment of me turning the crank and me explaing with more detail what's going on.Step 2. (.pptx slide with narration output as MP4) In Step 2, I lock the crank in place.Video segment of me locking the crank in place and explaining in more detail what's going on. etc. Is what I'm describing possible? I am new to Captivate. I have looked through the help and online but I don't know what language Captivate would use to describe this thing. Does anyone know how I could do this?&nb

I have tried every setting to get a Captivate 2019 course with a quiz marked a complete when a learner fails a quiz. When they pass, the course is marked complete, but when they fail the course is marked 'In Progress'. I'm publishing using TinCan and I've tried a variety of settings.Using both Close project and Stop project.Have the course load in a separate window and not.Have completion as the user only accessing the course.Using an Exit buttonUsing properties for when the last slide ends, Exit.I'm at a loss. Any ideas?  I'm letting the last slide just play out and the project will close as expected but not marked complete.  When go back into the course, it takes me to the last slide, as if it hasn't been complete. Thanks in advance.  

Hello, I have a project that has a size limit and it's mostly live video. It also will be HTML5 only. The problem we're having is how captivate and adobe media encoder are handling the video encoding.When you insert a video into the course, it converts it to FLV if it is not already an FLV.When you publish to HTML5, it converts it back to MP4 using Adobe Media Encoder.The conversion back is almost tripling the file size into MP$4 because it's defaulting to a HQ conversion.Is there a way to influence this FLV to MP4 conversion? Or is there a way to make Captivate keep my .mp4 file and not try a conversion?Thanks in advance for any help.

Anyone know how to fix the styling when the background of the drop is white and the letter is white? I tried going to master slide for it and there seems to be no way to fix this. (This is a matching question)

Hi, I've been trying to add a button with Action - 'go to previous slide' but its not working.This button is on a slide layer and clicking it is supposed to take the learner back to the base layer. Any help will be appreciated!

Greetings,I can fix this issue by using another effect but this needs to be reported as a bug. Cap file attached with one slide. I'm trying to get the text captions to all collapse to the left upon exiting, with a .5 second effect duration. The correct effect is configured, CollapseToLeft, however it is exucuting the CollapseAcross effect. Any feedback welcome.Thanks!

Hi all, We've had a number of issues recently with SCORM pacakges not marking as complete when completed on our Totara LMS. (Totara is based on Moodle, and this issue seems common amongst others who use Moodle). For reference, we are using Captivate 2019 11.5.0.476 I posted on the Moodle forum and I was alerted to this support page which outlines the causes for issues with Chrome 80 and Chrome 83: https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/public/en/2876002 It seems the key issue relates to Chrome blocking Synchronous API requests. All of our SCORM packages report data to the LMS on the page being exited, but it seems like this is no longer supported by Chrome. Our only solution so far has been to switch on the setting to send data on every slide, but we are concerned about the effect on performance/pressure on the server. Every time I write a caption in Hebrew for my Adobe Captivate project the order of the sentence is mess up.For example, the sentence:.היי, תראו את הבלוןWould look like this:היי, תראו את הבלון.I already changed my prefences to Indo-Arabic languages support & enable right to left languages.Is there any posibble way to solve this whithin captivate? is there any external program that might help?Thanks in advance.

I am working on removing all Flash from a course.  I have several pdf files that I need to include (not to click and open) readable on screen.  When I put the pdf in the course and I preview or upload to LMS, I get an error message that the file can't be found.  I am using Captivate 2017.  I saw a youtube video that said there were previously problems with the files not being found and even when they were in a specific folder (callee), Captivate did not find the pdf file, but, now Captivate has improved and there is no need to try to place the files in a particular place since they are now in the library which is where they should have been.  Is this something new in Captivate 2019?  Thx
