I selected Responsive project and add a course video. Published as SCORM content video and uploaded in LMS. It is not adjusting to the mobile screens which means I'm not able to create responsive content. Hey guys!!wierd thing happened...I went to add a green check mark image to one of my text buttons in state view in the visited state and the entire bar is greyed out so I cant use it...I can't even copy and paste the image into it!Any ideas as to why this happened?Thank you for all your help! Here's what it looks like if that helps: 

Hi, I created a blank project in Captivate 2019, then chose video demo from the slides menu. I created my video, which plays fine in preview, but when I publish it as Video it will not play. All I get is the first frame of the video with a revolving wheel (see image below). Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks Michael

Hi community!I am working on a project to prepare exchange students for their year abroad. Learners will go through a course where they are assigned a host family and need to take decisions that lead to different situations according to the family they are in (and to the decisions they take). I do not know how to make sure learners get the family at random. What I need is this:Learner is randomly assigned a host familyLearner sees different slides if they are assigned family 1, 2 or 3.For example. Learner A is assigned family 1. They go through the course visiting slides 5 6 7. At the end, based on the decisions they have taken, they see final slide 23. Learner B instead is assigned family 3. They go through the course visiting slides 12 13 14 15. Finally, based on the decisions they have taken, they see final slide 24.I would be so grateful to get some help, this is my FIRST project with Captivate. My problem is that the project is displaying fine in Chrome, Safari, Edge etc.When I have the Ipad in de landscape holding its OK, turn I de Ipad to Portrait, than things are moving in thet Proect. How can help me?

Hi everyone, I have an issue with properly viewing a recording from Adobe Connect on my IPad Pro. Using Safari I can access the video, I can  play/view the recording, but it has no sound. My sound works with any other videos (e.g. opening a youtube video in another tab in Safari is working). Could you help with a fix for this? I can't understand why the sound is not working. To be also noted that the Volume Level from the Adobe Connect control is at 100, so it is on and it is set on Max.  Looking forward to your feedback!Adina  

Has anyone come across this?  I created a pause button on the first slide using an advanced action and it is set too End of Project.  Everything is working great, except on slides that stop/pause at the end of the slide.  For example I have a next button that causes the project to pause so user can click to the next section of the traning, however if the user instead clicks the pause button (although they shouldn't) it will go to next slide.  I can't figure out how to prevent that. I am thinking maybe I can make the pause button disappear when the slide ends (as a pause would no longer be needed and this would resolve my issue), however I haven't figured out how to do that.  Anyone encounter a similar issue? Thanks,John

Hello!I am trying to use the Pyramid Widget Interaction in my 2019 Captivate but the display format is all wrong when I click on previewing the project. It seems to be fine in my actual course but the display is unformatted. Anybody who can help me with this?  Thank you! 

On macOS Catalina, there may be issues in activating Captivate (2019 release). I started a new 3d project and the slide is not showing correctly into the timeline. Why?I also added a 3d slide into a prosject and the same happened there. Is it my mashine that is not up to it? If I preview the project it is up and running. but I cannot add or edit it because I cannot see what I am doing! 🙂

Afternoon, I am using Adobe Captivate v. 11.5.1.499.  I have created a project that has 4 edit fields.In each field I type in some text and then ask the user to press Tab to move to the next edit field. I repeat this 4 times. The Tab is handled by creating a Click Box with the Tab as a shortcut. Each time I am pressing the Tab key though it flashes up a yellow box at the top of the project (testing is done in the Published project) before focussing on the next slide. Any idea why this is occurring? ThanksPhil.

Hi will learning interactions keep working once support for flash ends in December 2020? I am using captivate 2019. When I add a learning interaction to a project I see in the properties window that a column with name Linkage with  .swf file as its value.

When I close and re-enter the Demo and simulation it starts from the beginning and I need it to reopen from the last slide I saw. How do I have to set the configuration to save the progress? Thank you

When I open Demo and Simulation in Chrome I have to press F5 if it doesn't load, is there a way to solve it and open it directly?

I've created a course with 6 Modules.  What I'm trying to do is not have the Course Sumary show until all the other modules are completed and I cannot get that to work.  Do I need to create a variable? I thought with Update 2, there was an easier way to do it? I created groups for each module with "Jump to Slide" function and it works fine.   Any suggestions would be very much appeciated! Thanks,Carl

I have a FMR I need to edit, but when I select it in the library, the edit button is grayed out. Is there another way to edit the recording? I'm using Captivate 2019. Thanks.

Despite restarting Captivate multiple times, I can't figure out how to get the TIMELINE playback buttons to reappear. Please see the attached picture...these aren't buttons on output...these are the play and other buttons that allow you to play a slide while creating content.

I have made a video in Premiere cc and made Close caption to that video. Now we have desided to turn the video in to a Captivate elearing project. But is there a way to re-use the close caption? Or do I have to make it ONE more time?

This is apparently not a new issue as there is an unresolved thread from 2013 HERE.The issue comes when the user has fulfilled the requirements for course completion and tries to re-enter the course.  Apparently, there are Captivate variables that will retain data on the last slide accessed.  The previous thread suggested to clear this "resume" data.  I have tried this and had some success.  I tried placing the JavaScript on the "On Enter" event with no effect.  When trying to place the execution of the JavaScript on the "On Exit" event, the suggested JavaScript appears to correctly reset the resume data but the final slide never exits.  So, by using an advanced action I combined the JavaScript execution (on the current window) followed by a simple Exit.  This appears to work except that if the user closes the window before the OnExit event fires,  the Resume Data is never cleared.  I tried firing the JavaScript from an earlier event like wh

I am attempting to add a checkmark character into the text animation properties field using Alt (ASCII) 0252. However I do not get the check mark? Is there a way to code a checkmark character into the text animation properties field? 

I am getting an error when using the dropdown widget.Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '=' Why does it say Adobe Captivate 6 when I inspect the code? Does that mean this widget has not been updated since then? I am using Captivate 9 (11.5.1.499). 

I installed the update to the new release last week and since then things have been wonky.  The main issue is that I can no longer use the option to  preview HTML5 in browser.  I get a message that the site can't be reached.  These are the same files I was able to preview a week ago.  Instead, I have to publish then click through 50 slides to get to the one button on one slide I need  to preview ... PITA.Another major issue since the upgrade is that all my advanced and shared actions no longer work.  I can rewrite the same exact script and it works, but the originals are dead. I realize this is a separate issue in its own right, but mention it here in the off chance that they might in some way be related.  Also can't get the image as button option to work, which is the reason I upgraded in the first place!  Very frustrated!!Katherine

Hello,I'm trying to run the latest version of Captivate on my Mac. I have a brand new mac with tons of free space. The program is SO slow its almost unbearable to work in. When I try to preview my projects it lags and freezes up the entire computer so that I have to restart it. I am at my wits end. Any suggestions? 

I have been given a 150 slide Captivate project which uses image buttons instead of smartshape buttons. They would like the output as an Interactive PDF. Is there anway to easily convert image buttons to smartshape buttons? Alternatively is there any option that would allow image buttons to work properly in an interactive PDF? Thanks,
