Hi, I have an interactive video, with an overlay slide. In the overlay slide, user clicks on some button. I display a feedback by changing a state of the feedback and showing a continue button with Continue action for On Success event. The continue button is normally hidden.  I use some advanced action to show it with some feedback. But it is not going back to the video slide.  By the way, other buttons work without any problem. I should be able go back to the video slide.     

Hello! I'm using Adobe Captivate 2019 in English version with Mac OS.I'm working on software simulation project now and I realized all Korean font is not working properly.It seems like putting space automatically next to every single character as below. It happens to every buttons or text boxes that work with character.However, it works good when I write text in other documents and then paste them to Adobe Captivate like as below. Below is exactly same text with above one.Is there anyone who knows how to fix it? Thank you so much!

Hi, We are loading a 2019 captivate project in our website via iFrame. Is there any javascript event we can listen on parent page (where iframe is located) to understand when captivate has finished loading.  The problem is that the iframe height needs to be resized to match captivate project height and we dont know when it completes loading.

Hi, I'm having an issue with version 8.0.0.145 - I have three variables which the user will increment or decrement depending on if they select the correct answer (via buttons). At the end of my custom quiz the individual totals display correctly and reliably in browser and in preview, however elsewhere I would like for the user to see a total of all 3 values. For this I set up a conditional action as follows: If all conditions are true:1 is equal to 1 Actions:Expression v_AB = A  + BExpression v_ABC = v_AB + CAssign v_total with v_ABC A, B, and C are my three variables that display as individual scores elsewhere with no issues.  This works fine in preview, returning a total such as 45 or 51 etc. When published and viewed in browsers it takes the form of a much longer number ie 2213122020 - I thought perhaps these were individual values being displayed however I have character limit set to 50. Would anyone be able to advise where I am going wrong please?&nb

Is it possible to use an object to act as the timeline scrubber? I'd like the user to be able to drag an object across the stage as it scrubs through the related actions on the timeline. Sort of like scrubbing an object in Animate. I know a drag and drop object can be moved anywhere on the screen, forward or back, but I don't have any idea how to connect it to the timeline scrubber. Anyone? 

I just downloaded adobe acrobat today. I'm trying to add a background but its not working. It's not the opaque settings. I've tried several different pdf's as backgrounds, so I know it's not the one im trying to use. After I select it, it says it is there, but I can't see it. I then remove the background and try again, trying all the settings with no luck. Any advice would be apprecaited!

I used to be able to use "\n" in Javascript for carriage return in a Captivate variable. I can't seem to get it to work anymore. Just shows up blank.myVariable = "Hi\nBye"; 

[SOLVED - See below.]I created some Smartshape Boxes and give them the red color (EA1C0A) Here a screenshot: If I then publish the project as html5 and look in the browser (Chrome), the colors are wrong. I compared both colors in the picture. On the left is the color from Captivate. On the right is a screenshot and the color in Photoshop. The colors are also next to each other at the top. Where does this problem come from and how can I solve it? Of course, it also affects other colors. 

I'm making a presentation for a client and have noticed an issue on one particular page: when I click buttons slowly (approx. 0.5-1s between clicks) then the slide functions as expected; when you spam-click, the incorrect button activates. This page is set up as a number of smart shapes that either flip a card or reset the slide (see screenshot), but for some reason when you are quickly clicking it seems to think that the card to the left is being clicked instead.  Please see attached video to show this issue:  Has anyone encountered this issue before?

I am having a problem with ligatures randomly appearing on lower case 's' and 't's hooking them together in Captivate 2019 (see below).  It can happen in completely new or existing cptx and cptl files, but there's no obvious consistency in when it will happen.  The only other Adobe product on my machine is Captivate 8 which also has the same problem. When I began encountering the problem in Captivate 8 the only thing I could do was open a new file and copy the course over. But in Captivate 2019 it can also happen when I open a completely new file so I can’t do that anymore. The font I use is Arial (although I have also found it happens with Tahoma and Trebuchet).My language setting is to English and I don't have any other languages set up as a preference on my machine.I recently got a new laptop and redownloaded everything.My laptop set up is exactly the same as other members of my team, but I am the only one who appears to have the issue.  Any ideas

How the project was created:Windows 10Captivate 2019, 11.5.0.476HTML5 output with Scorm 1.2Non-responsive projectThe project works perfectly fine on PC. The Problem:On the iPad tablet, the Drag and Drop quiz question does not respond. Also, one of the links works fine on PC but gives a 404 error on the tablet. Does anybody have an idea what the issue might be? Kind regards, Irina

Hello everybody, I have a problem with the use of InternetExplorer11. My published course works smoothly in Chrome. But as soon as IE11 is used, actions like Drag n Drop or interactive smartforms do not work anymore or work so much delayed or after multiple clicks that the learner is interrupted.Unfortunately, our entire group works with IE11 as a standard browser, so a change here would not be easy to implement. Has anybody got a similar problem or already found a solution for it.Please support us! GreetingPatrick 

I’m capturing a simulation of a system that has dates as input data. For some reason, Captivate doesn’t capture these dates correctly. What settings do I need to change to enable the correct capturing of dates?

I'm trying to record system audio in Captivate and installed Soundflower to accommodate this, as instructed by Adobe. I was able to install it and see the 2ch and 64ch options in Sound but still can't hear anything when trying to play audio. I checked the Sound Devices set up to see that it matched with the specifications listed by Adobe too but still no luck, has anyone experienced similar issues?

Quickly, just realize that I *am* in Assets (Library) and NOT in Discover. So shouldn't assets that live under Assets ALL be selectable? I did a search for "results" slides and the three I was given... I would select any one of them and the INSERT SLIDE does NOT illumnate, so it's not actually selectable. What's up with that?     

I have two CP2019 projects, published as HTML5. I am trying to create links from Course 2 to Course 1. In Course 2, Link 1 needs to open Course 1 and jump to slide 60. Link 2 just needs to open Course 1. Link 2 is working fine. Link 1 opens Course 1 at the first slide but doesn't jump to slide 60. To set up a link to a specific slide, I followed the instructions from this 2013 post. (I couldn't find anything more recent) https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/is-it-possible-to-link-a-specific-slide-in-a-project-from-another-project/td-p/5648429?page=1 Does that method no longer work in CP2019? Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Hi,I am working on a course which will contain a lot of slides, which will inevitably require the user to spend quite a lot of time on the course.  The course has been split into different modules within this file.  I have achieved this by having buttons which direct to the slides where each of the modules start.  After the user has read all of the slides relating to this particular module, there is then the option to go back to the main menu where the module they have just read will now be "checked" (done by a simple variable and advanced actions to show a check mark once the final slide is read).  But my main question is:  is there a way to save the progress as the user goes through the captivate file?  So if the user re-opens the Captivate file, the check marks will still be there?  Hope this makes sense.Thanks

I have a video course (html5). I would like to prevent user to open a new tab/program/document...meanwhile is watching the video.Any ideas?? Thanks for your help!Rox 

I'm trying to convert SWF features to HTML5. I have a number of slidelets.In the community, I was able to find this post that talks about slidelets:https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/how-to/apply-effects.htmlHowever, this contains the following note:"The HTML5 output for the procedure described in this section, is available here [INTERNAL NOTE: Pending hosting]. You can use it as reference as you go through the steps in the following procedure:"Wondering now if HTML5 slidelets are not yet supported. If that's true, can someone suggest a different alternative to produce an effect where you point at text to pop up a window that contains other objects such as images? 

I have created a custom quiz for my course that includes custom buttons, and advanced actions and have applied each answer choice to be included in the quiz results. My issue is that the correct grade and results are not matching with the custom quiz I've created. How can I create a custom quiz results slide to match my custom quiz?

In Quiz settings, under Status representation, I'm selecting Incomplete > Completed.  However, after I complete the module, it showed as Passed rather than Completed.  Am I doing something wrong?

Every time I try to edit an existing guide or I try to add a new one it crashes. I tried these solutions but none of them worked. I'm using the 2019 version on Windows 10. Thanx in advance

I'm trying to create sort of like a slide show with buttons that trigger the next and previous item to reveal. I have a 'forward' image that when clicked will apply an 'entrance' animation to a slide making it reveal. I also have a 'back' image that when clicked will apply an 'exit' animation to that same slide removing it from the screen. I'm using an Advanced Action 'On Success' when either arrow image is clicked because I need to trigger other things besides just the animation effects. When I click on the 'forward' image everything works, the slide is revealed and all of the other things are triggered. Then when I initially click the 'back' image everything seems to go back to it's previous state as the slide is animated back to an exit position. However, when I then try to click on the 'forward' image a second time the slide doesn't reappear. I did some tests and it looks like it's the animation that's making it stop working after the first time. It seems like when the 'exit'

I recently upgraded to Captivate 2019 and due to Flash EOL am publishing as HTML moving forward.  I create small GIFs in Photoshop and have used the Save for Web export function to publish my GIFs in the past.  They always worked when I published as .swf., however the HTML 5 tracker states the GIF is an unsupported animation.  Are GIFs not at all supported in Captivate when published as HTML.. or do I need a different workflow to create them?  Photoshop is a great way for me to create GIFs as I am not a coder, so I hope I can keep this workflow.
