Hi Everyone:I have six (6) puzzle pieces that I ungrouped in Illustrator and I want to have them drop one by one in no particular order into Captivate and then on each following screen I will put the puzzle back together one piece at a time. Any ideas on how to drop the pieces onto the screen?Thank you.Sandy

Hello community, I'm looking for a way to quickly and easily create SCORM-compliant, mobile-friendly eBook styled courses.  Clients with very limited budgets and a large amount of content often give us PDF manuals in A4 format and simply want them to be converted into something that is trackable via LMS and mobile-friendly.  They don't need us to redesign the docs.   An eBook, or a mimicry of one, seems to be the way to go, but this is not SCORM-compliant, so then the idea is to SCORM wrap the eBook via Captivate somehow, and publish as HTML.  One possibility is to convert the PDF pages to images and put each one on a slide, but the problem then is one of legibility - how to allow the end-user to zoom in and read the text on what is essentially a portrait oriented a4 page? So, that's the challenge.  Does anybody have any wild ideas?Is there a web object option for Captivate 9?  Is it HTML compatible?  Is it responsive?By the way, I also

Hello!I am trying to create the image of someone falling down a hole with the little speed lines trailing behind it.  I'd like to give it the image of falling for the entire time the user is on the slide.  Is there a way to loop effects to continue to cycle until the user leaves the slide.  I'm using Captivate 6.Thanks!

I see there is a similar post about this issue (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3304926), but with Mac, not PC.  I get the same error message described in the other post for Mac users, but when I tried to use the hotfix at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/902/cpsid_90224.html the file wasn't compatible with a PC.I have 2 people regulary using Captivate 5 and trying to use the Publish - Print option to create a document of their Captivate project.  This option was initially working for both of them, and then it just stopped working.Does anyone have any ideas of how to resolve this issue?

Hello everyone!I am trying to create a drag and drop knowledge check that allows the drag sources to go into multiple drop targets. However, once one drag source is dropped onto a drop target, I want that drop target to not be available anymore to the rest of the drag sources. The reason why I want the drag sources to go into multiple drop targets is because the drag sources can be placed in any order. The issue I am having is that because multiple drag sources can be dropped onto multiple drop targets, the learner can drop two or three in the same drop target. The drop targets in my activity are the empty boxes below. Is there a way to do what I want to do: assign multiple drag sources to multiple drop targets but once one drag source has been dropped onto a drop target make that drop target unavailable for the rest drag sources that originally were assign to it as well? I used a JavaScript to limit the number of decimal places shown after a calculation. When viewed in Capitvate preview, it works without flaw. However, when viewed in a browser or HTML 5 preview, the script doesn't operate. Anyone know why? Thanks,

I created a Captivate project while connected to a shared server. Now I copied the project file and graphic folders to my PC and want to work (not connected to the server).When I update a graphic in the graphic folder and click update graphic in the Captivate project library…the update looks for the file on the H;drive which is the server location. Are these file locations hard coded...is there no way to point the library to a different folder containing all of the same graphics.

Hi, there I have created the file in Captivate 9 and set up the skin for video file as "haloSkin1" as per below screenshot. Everthing is fine on previewing mode as expected. But the skin disappears when I published in HTML version. Recently updated to Captivate 9 on work laptop. When trying to import a PowerPoint or create a new project via PowerPoint, I get the same error that says it is unable to import and that the file may be damaged. I've tested it with brand new powerpoints with 1 slide of text, changed them to PPT, reinstalled Office 2010, etc. Are there any other solutions to this problem? 

Hello,I created a recording within Adobe Captivate. I successfully created a SCORM package and uploaded it to my Learning Management System (LMS). The problem is that whenever I play the video I uploaded into my LMS, my browser defaults to playing the video in Flash. What do I need to do in order to edit my SCORM package's settings so that the video I upload into my LMS does not default to playing in Flash in my internet browser? I was using TechSmith Camtasia previously and did not have this issue so I am trying to figure out why I am having this issue when using Adobe Captivate.Anyone know how I can fix this issue? HelloI am using Captivate 2019 latest version for my course development and course is having custom UI buttons (play/pause, next, prev, mute/unmute, CC, refresh).On course timeline I have Introductory audio and 2 clickable buttons on screen, click of each button respective triggered audio will play.First button plays First Audio and changes the state of a graphic to selected.Second button plays second Audio and changes the state of a graphic to selected.I am able to Pause and Mute the base slide/introductory audio using the Custom pause button.I would like to pause the audio that is triggered by the "play audio" action (Audio 1 or 2) attached to the buttons using the Custom pause button.ThanksSushil

After publishing a file (swf) format, Captivate is auto-inserting an initial slide that the user will have to click on to allow the module to play.   I am working in Windows 10.I already have an intro slide, so this extra slide is unnecessary.  Also the other members of my team are not getting this same issue. No auto-play image is selected under Publishing Preference.Please advise how to disable this extra slide.

My company is considering Captivate for some of our existing customers, but also to cater to potential new customers. What I mean is that we would like a potential customer to log into our LMS-solution as a public person (no username/password), and view a multi part video that can explain how much the person can save using our software. The logging in part is no problem, so my question has more to do with whether it's possible to have a user watch the first part of a video, be asked to input a value (monthly expenditure for instance), and get a calculation or even a graph in return. I assume there'll be some javascripting involved, which is fine, but I'm wondering if anyone has some input on the idea.

I keep reading there are free characters (cut out people) and templates available for Captivate. But when I click on the link to download the additional poses (I think I get 2 poses in my version 9), it directs me to eLearning Brothers who want to charge me for the cut out people. Are the cut out people no longer free? Or am I doing something wrong.

When i launch Captivate, select New, then Blank project, select canvas size and hit Create.... nothing happens.(Tried the same thing from the Main Menu, File, New Project, Blank and even tried Ctrl+N) I am running version, 11.5.1.499 and have the problem with not being able to see the included assets. I have installed a few packages along with a hotfix from Adobe to try and resolve that issue. I have even uninstalled Captivate (removed settings in uninstal) and reinstalled Captivate.. and still cant create a Blank project. Anyone... please advise. 

Hi,I created a course in Adobe Captivate 2017 with multiple simulations that are called out by buttons. The published files of the simulations are kept in callees folder, then in their individual subfolders. The course and simulations are working when accessing the index.html file. However, when the files are uploaded into the LMS (cornerstone), the course is unable to find the simulation files. Need your advice on how we can make the simulation files in the callees folder work on the LMS. I appreciate any information. Thanks!

I need to record software simulation using the trial version of captivate 19. Will my output come with watermarks. If yes, how can i remove them?

Greetings, Community!I am having a clickbox conundrum. I have a slide set up with two clickboxes, each of which is set to "show" an image group upon success. The clickboxes are set to be visible for the entire slide, and the image groups are each set to show for 8 seconds. There is a third click box set to advance to the next slide.What I want to happen: I want the students to be able to click on each box and see the associated mark-ups that appear over the background image. I want them to be able to show both at once, or see each set individually, and I want them to be able to go back and forth, seeing one set and then the other, and back to the first if they want (infinite attempts?).What is happening: if I set the clickbox to "infinite attempts" and "Continue Playing," I can click the first box, and it will stay for 8 seconds. If I click the second box during that 8 seconds, then it will also show, and also fade out after 8 seconds. However, if I wait until the first image group dis

En effet, au lancement du quiz, il y a une diapo blanche avec un bouton qui permet de lancer le quiz. Mais je souhaterais que les diapos se lancent sans être obligé d'appuyer sur ce bouton. I recently downloaded Adobe Captivate 2019 within the week. It's the latest version (as of 10/26/2018) from the Adobe Download page found: Download Adobe Captivate free trial | Adobe Captivate (2019 release) THE PROBLEM: When I go to record a video demo, Captivate gives me the "Adobe Captivate has stopped working" message. After I close that message, Captivates goes through a shut down process.DETAILS:I can perform all other functions in Captivate 2019 as I have in the previous (2017) version such as opening, saving, publishing, and even record a software simulation. But for whatever reason, it does not want to do a video demo.*As others have suggested I have already tried deleting the preferences, clearing the cache, uninstalling and re-installing, running as administrator, etc. Most of those steps were unnecessary since I just installed the software - but I ran through them anyway.*I have an Adobe Support phone number: 1-800-685-2950 that I'll try next work week and if I find an answ
