Hey there,I would like to try the following tutorial: Intermediate Score Slides - Captivate blog However, I am totally new to variables and advanced actions. The author suggests that:v_geoscore, v_geoqst, v_geoperc will store values of score/correct questions/percentage for the Geography quizNow, I have figured out how to create those variables. But how do I make them store the values of score/correct questions/percentage? Also, the author has created the slides GeoScore, Pol Score and Gnrl Score to display the indermediate results. But how do I create my own score slides? I am very sorry, as I have shown above, I'm totally new to this.

I have a course that was published using the 2017 version in SCORM. It works fine.Recently we translated the text to Spanish and republished it from 2019 as SCORM. It launches fine the first time you load it. But if you relaunch it, the courses never progresses past the spinning loading icon. After banging my head against the wall for a week, I finally thought to try republishing it with "Never send resume data" checked. Now it launches every time, but obviously it won't take the user to where they left off, as the English version does.When the "resume data" (bookmarking) is being sent, I get the following error referencing CPXHRLoader on relaunch:I do NOT get this error with the bookmarking turned off.Anyone know what's going on here? I don't always use the bookmarking feature, but there are times I need it, and this is a major fail at the moment.Thanks!

Good afternoon everyone,I have tried to find an answer to my question, but have yet been able to find out if it is even something that can be changed. I have Button interactions set up on a project that I am working on, when you currently click on them, they size down about 4 pixels to show that they are being selected. Is there a way to prevent that 4 pixel downscale that seems to automatically be set or, do I need to go about another way of create buttons with a different down state that does not scale?

I'm having difficulty getting past the login screen for PhoneGap build as it will keep giving me this error each time:Not sure how to get around this.

Hey, I have 1 large Captivate project with several 'levels' - I ran into publishing issues dues to the size of the project and it seems like a good idea to split each level into a separate project file and nest each level inside the callees folder using Captivates 'open another project' function.My issue, it that right at the beginning of level 1 the user chooses an Avatar & types in their name which is then shown throughout the project. Now, when opening up level 2 as its a linked project the user name and avatar reverts back to default variable 'test name' etc...So, I'm wondering - can I send these user-defined variables to child projects and how does the child project pick up this variable without overwriting it? I am setting up a quiz that the user must select the correct answer before advancing. However, in the reporting functionality, I would like the quiz to report how many times a user selected an incorrect answer before selecting the correct answer. Is this possible?

I've been having issues lately being unable to publish my courses in CP9.  I have been unable to Preview the course as well.  When I attempt to preview more than the "Next 5 slides," I receive a "fatal error" and CP shuts down.  I have been saving frequently and so far have not lost any work, but I want to preview the work before I go farther.  When I try to publish, I either receive the message "Publish Failed" or receive the fatal error.  The same thing has happened on more than one course that I am working on.  It seems to happen mostly on the courses in which there is a software simulation.  I don't use the "responsive" versions, because our users are not allowed to access anywhere but on the computers at work.  I have tried clearing the cache, if I did it correctly.Not sure what other information might be helpful to know for anyone who might have suggestions on what to try.  I am looking at trying to get an update to Captivate 2019, but

Hello, Running into a couple questions/issues using the Text Entry Box feature in Captivate 2019 and was hoping for some assistance.  1.) Is there anyway at all to format the text entry field beyond the font type and size?  Specifically looking for settings to center justify and/or adjust the padding.  As it is it seems to default to left justified in the center of box with 0 padding (text entry is right against the line of the box)2.) after a bit of googling I was able to find the way to return the text entry variable in a subsequent text box ($$Text_Entry_Variable_Name$$) but am running into a problem with it adding a line break before the output.  I have attached a few screenshots to try and clarifyThis screenshot is showing the way i have the slide designed to output with the textbox showing the "YOUR ANSWER" heading and the text entry variable belowFirst, here is the way i have the text entry output set up on the slide:When I preview the project however, it see

I am using Presenter 11.1 build 189 and publishing to tin can.I am only getting the "experience" verb published to my LRS.  The experience statements are not including pass/fail information at the completion of the course.  In addition, I am not getting details on the quiz questions on the experience statements within the quiz.Does Presenter output any verbs other than the experience verb statements?Is it possible to have the pass/fail indicator output at the completion of the course?Does Presenter output details on quiz questions?Thank you for your help and suggestions.

Hello everyone, I have a requirement from a client that I can't quite figure out. I need to create a "additional resources" overlay containing hyperlinks to external sites. I need to do the following:1. when a button is clicked I need to pause the video and show an overlay containing  additional resources links2. after closing the additional resources overlay the video needs to resume.If the overlay was just one object I think I know how to do it with AA. However, the overlay will contain multiple objects, overlay BG and many text captions that I need to set hyperlinks for. I considered setting up a separate slide for the additional resources and then using "return to last slide visited" but I think that would reset the video to the beginning of slide. I need to have the user return to the exact spot in the video in which the left.Any ideas much appreciated. thanks in advanceKurt

I am using Adobe Captivate 8. My question is about Shortcuts.After viewing a tutorial about Shortcuts for buttons and click boxes, I noticed the shortcuts had three radio buttons under the Shortcuts options within Properties Panel. These wereCtrlShiftNoneAre these options only offered in Adobe Captivate 9? I do not see them in my version of Adobe Captivate 8. However, I do see that the Properties/Shortcuts WILL RECORD the Ctrl and Shift options once I click them on my keyboard.

Now that I have plunged head first into Captivate 2019 and creating 2 training modules for my department, I am having speech management issues.  The second module has about 30 pages of very technical information on them, so the notes for the text to speech to handle per page is quite high.  I go to edit a word or two to make the word sound better and it crashes!  Then I re-open the file and the text to speech boxes have each doubled the words in the file!  It's like it cut and pasted each box within itself.I have exported the text, deleted the extra version in each block then cut and pasted the words back into an emptied speech management set.  Seems to work for a while, then crashes with the same issue.  I need help!  My boss is getting upset at the time I am taking with this instead of just making PowerPoint Slides.

This is probably a newbie question, but in my Captivate 2019 pages, the background seems to look nice until I move my mouse over the slide then blocks of the background changes to white.  How do I remedy this?  Thanks!

Hi all.I've just started using captivate and am already encountering a very frustrating problem. I have a photo background and a solid white square at 100% opacity on top. Simple right? Yet when I preview my project its as if the shape is 90% opacity. Same thing if I publish.I've tried creating a new file from scratch and every single time, no matter what the fill colour is, its transparent when it shouldn't be. I'm losing my mind, please help.

Running: Adobe Captivate 9 x64On: Windows 10I only have one logon (me) which I assume is the same as the administrator as I don't have anyone else set up on this computer.When I click on New -> "Software Simulation" -> "Create" I get a warning box stating "Capture is disallowed since High-density display was detected. Please set 'DpiAwareness = 1' in AdobeCaptivate.ini and restart the application."I went to Local Disc (C:) -> Program Files -> Adobe -> Adobe Captivate 9 x64 and found the file AdobeCaptivate.ini and double clicked to open it.It opened in Notepad.I found the line "DpiAwareness = 0" as the fourth row from the bottom.I changed the 0 to a 1.I went to File -> SaveNotepad did not give me the option to save as an .ini file. It only lists .txt as an option and won't let me save in this file type.I tried saving as "All Files.""Access Denied" appears on my screen and will not let me save.I can't save the .ini file so Captivate won't let me do this screen record a

I have a project where I need to add many 360 degree images. Each will be imported into a 360 slide within a standard project.I'm finding the process to import the images very awkward. The only way I can see to import the images is to first create a 360 slide, then click on the 'Add 360 Image / Video'  button in the middle of the slide screen. The subsequent 'Select 360 degree image / video' dialog box is very small and almost impossible to locate the image I require. Image filenames are not able to be seen in full when using folders and subfolders. Image previews are also very small and not helpful.Subsequently this is making the process of adding 360 images very slow and frustrating.It would be much easier if images could be dragged and dropped from Windows Explorer or from the Captivate Library. I am amazed that the latter is not supported.Can this be looked at for a future update?

Hi,I would like to change runtime dialog box title in Captivate 7. I have found files that may be responsible for this, but I can't make it work.According to this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3047422#3047422the files are located in instalation folder -> language folder (e.g. en_US).On top of what is in the Captivate 5 (in previously mentioned thread), there are also xml a txt files:strings.txtstrings.xmlstrings.zdctwhich would suggest that Captivate developers would acctually allow us to change these captions.But when I change either strings.txt or strings.xml or both, captions in Captivate don't change. It seems that Captivate draws captions from strings.zdct file that I don't know how to modify.I thougth that restarting Captivate would help and new file strings.zdct would be created. I was wrong. It wasn't.Does someone know whether is possible to change runtime dialog titles in Captivate 7?Thanks
